Hello guys and gals, it's me Mutahar again! This time we take a look at what appears to be more videos from the Hermit Kingdom, while the channels are smaller in size, the videos they produce show no difference from making the country look cheerier than it actually is. Thanks for watching!

She claims she saw a public execution at the back of Hyesan market sometime in 2002 or 2003 but according to other defectors from that same town public executions stopped in 2000. I usually hate doing this because it makes some hardliners think you have sympathies for North Korea, but Yeonmi Park apparently isn’t the most trustworthy source about NK. Most other defectors usually disagree with her stories and say that, while the reality is still nightmarish, she turns North Korea into a cartoon hellscape like Ünderland. Her stories being so out there and her willingness to exaggerate are why she gets invited to these outlets over other defectors.

One of the craziest stories regarding North Korea abusing their embassies:
For years the embassy in Berlin, Germany had leased a part of its grounds to a youth hostel. It was very popular due to its location in the city center, just a few minutes away from the Brandenburg Gate. After an investigation due to increasing sanctions, it was found that the hostel was used to raise around 40k € per month, likely to help fund NKs nuclear weapons program. After a long legal battle, it was shut down right around the start of the pandemic.
It was quite bewildering going on a school trip and entering literally right next to the embassy gates, with old NK propaganda pics from before the German reunification still visible through the gates and windows. Technically the hostel was even under North Korean jurisdiction, although not really enforceable.

I am by no means correct, BUT I do think there are reasons (NOT JUSTIFICATIONS) for as to why the DPRK is the way it is. First of which is how Korea, back when it was Joseon, got its government structure that was similar to China (back when they had dynasties), but practiced it to a degree that they did even more than China's. Fast forward hundreds of years and we have Korea split between the Soviets (Stalin at the time) and the US (why wasn't Korea allowed to be its own whole peninsula like it had been in the past before China, Mongolia and later Japan post-WW2???). Thus, South Korea had a more enhanced version of operating like the USA, but in the scope of Korean culture. Something similar happened with the DPRK where it got Stalin's cult of personality but to the extreme. That is why the DPRK is such a heavy-handed dictatorship. Then we get to the 90s and the USSR is no more (meaning no support anymore), and with sanctions much like Cuba's but worse and then add the famine and the "Arduous March". Seeing as its only way to stay sovereign and not have the CCCP or west take it over, thus it prioritizes military over the people and builds nuclear weapons. I would not live there even for a trillion dollars; just to be clear I advocate for democracy, which in my mind means rule by the PEOPLE and not one leader or a small group of people and economic elites. Of course, you could just ignore me too, my comment doesn't really matter in the end lol.

the constant nuclear threats are because of the paranoia created in the NK government after the collapse of the ussr led by a string of economic liberalization policies by Gorbachev. This and the funding of nationalist parties / sentiment in the ussr by the US led the USSR to collapse. NK is simply paranoid to the extreme to fall to US covert interventionism.
The second point is refuted by the fact that Russia is one of the only countries that will accept NK weapons and do not fully sanction them (apart from china). Additionally, NK is one of the most sanctioned countries in the world and is the only one part fo the lost that deosnt have large resource rich parts of its country. How the fuxk else are they meant to run their economy, and that is the point of sanctions. Bleed the NK government dry of any money they have which is why they have to rely on desperate tactics.

The stories are fake. lmao Feel sorry for the US, that has been described perfectly by everything said about North Korea in this video.

Remember, kids. Next time you feel terrified of what North Korea will do next, remember how Sterling Archer once described them: "Relax, it's North Korea. The nation-state equivalent of the short bus."

My immediate response to that headline was, “How is that possible, Mutah?” That movie, The Interview might as well have been a documentary except for the fact that it plays down the outrageousness of N Korean propaganda!

Just from a glance at history I'd sleep a lot safer near the north Korean border than the American border. Let's count... *ahem* Iraq, Panama, Afghanistan, Banana Wars (Central America), Cuba (Bay of Pigs invasion), while we're talking about Cuba let's also mention the assassination attempts on Fidel Castro. Cambodia, Vietnam, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Haiti, Philippines, Panama and Syria. Let's mention multiple targeted killings, torture, use of cluster ammunition to this date. The worldwide only use of nuclear weapons on civilian targets. CIA support of drug trafficking. MK-Ultra. Backed coup d'état attempts of foreign democratically elected governments. Delivery of weapons to terrorist organizations...

You seemed to have forgotten that the Korean war was a thing and the border was an active war zone
It technically still is, the war isn't over, it's just an indefinite ceace-fire

It's honestly too bad that Ms. Park is the most famous defector. She's ultra-conservative, comes from wealth and has been caught saying clearly untruthful crap like single people being forced to push a whole train. The suffering there is real but she doesn't seem to actually care beyond how her speaking can build her own wealth.

Speaking of Yeonmi Park. Can you do a deep dive on her?
I've heard a lot of people come forward, other North-Korean defectors included, that she's an alleged fraud.
And that her stories about North-Korea don't line up with what they experienced.

Again the "people" that drink beer in N Korea are the party members and their 5 tourists. If the people could grow or acquire the beer ingredients they might brew their own, but that's it.
