I'm in a university, which means I see a LOT of diversity here. Something that didn't surprise me is how many people had names I'd heard, and names I hadn't--none of these names had any correlation with their races! The reason it wasn't a surprise is because I'm not a racist who assigns race to names, unlike you! There is no such thing as a "white American name" unless you are a white American with a name; that is the ONLY qualification.
Before you start trying to turn a silly, light-hearted joke into a race thing, maybe stop to consider that you might actually be the racist one.
