Next time when you get bogged down in the mud with a truck, add more wait in the rear. Most trucks use either the rear left or rear right to drive forward or backwards. On your first trip the guys were actually lifting up the wheels off the ground leaving the truck with no traction. They instead should have added more wait by sitting on the lips of the tailgate.

You saved the best advice for last!!! Never pay in advance for any stage! Contractors will come up with justifications such as mwana arwara, adzingwa kuchikoro, mai vaakuda kuzvara bla bla bla....Dont pay!
