Sid just gave in to the mental instability. He is usually more articulate and when he slipped and said "morning sickness spaces" I realized he has become one with Dina. It's good though because equals get along and will be happy. however Sid is the responsible one and if he's checking out then who will manage the other important tasks? well as long as they are happy that's all that matters

I live in the UAE and it changed my life. Of course there are pros and cons but that can be said of any country. The rate of inflation is not going down anytime soon so everything is hella expensive.
The UAE is family friendly and Ramadan is a gorgeous experience out here. And it is so easy to fly out for Umrah or to pop over to Gulf neighbouring countries.
Dubai is a crazy city and the humidity is tough. Winter time is really nice. Someone mentioned rights and freedoms are restricted. As a woman I have a ton of freedom out here and it's safe. I can walk outside at 2am and nothing will happen to me. Greenery is limited but there are some beautiful places to visit in the country. You can't beat walking next to the ocean in the evening. I agree there are some dodgy things going on in Dubai. You have to decide what you want to get from it. Heat is unbearable in the summer and you live inside. Street cats suffer out here and I have spent nine years of my life feeding and rescuing. I divide my time between the UAE and the UK and it works for me.
Ps. You can bring your cats.
i'm so glad you bring your children to Egypt to see where their family comes from and enjoy all that Egypt has to offer! I totally recommend taking them to Luxor & Aswan when they're a it older to see how amazing our history is. And El Gouna is really beautiful in the Spring / Fall time as well.

The summers in Dubai is unbearable! So for 5 months out of the year it's horrific! The locals flee to Europe in the summer, Dubai is mad expensive. Racism is rife, especially local Arabs towards Asians like Indians, Pakistanis & Bengalis. If you don't have "wasta" you ain't going nowhere 🤷♀️

Expat kids who don’t have family can find it really hard. My kids suffered a lot and we came back. Also the weather really limits you. You can only be outside a few months of the year. Things to do are crowded, expensive and get very boring for kids.

The parking spaces are not about being in and out quickly to the shop. It’s the extra space and shorter walking for the child. You shouldn’t park there unless you have children with you.

This is a good reminder for you. Turban is not what Allah commanded us to wear to draw near to Him and protect ourselves in this life and the next. Idol is a kind of worship as well, be careful ! Follow the Quran & Sunnah or you will follow the same path as her, may Allah guide her and us all !
