Really nice boat and awesome entertaining Video to watch while drinking my morning coffee, it was so fun 🤩 I had to watch the video twice, music 🎼 🎵 🎶 ❤️🎯🥳🎣🎣👍👍👍👍✅
I do like how you have taken the safety measures of wearing the PFD and attaching the key lanyard to yourself. I constantly get beat up about not doing that from my brother, who is a water baby as well. Nice video.
+Chris H thanks Chis h especially wen you go alone is a must to be safe remember the tow kids that got lost at sea if they had a pfd ho knows if they will be alive now. i like the Ocean but is a dangerous place sometimes wen weather turns oraund. it took me 2 hrs to get to bimini but if you see my other video in my earlier trip it took me 5 hrs that was rought. always be safe
yes. this guy is smart. i have seen imbecils cruising at 38knots in bad weather right there without pfd and kill engine thing .... one unexpected wave and so long ....!
Newer sub to your channel and love the videos, especially this series. We are getting into a new NauticStar 223 DC with a yammie F150XB. We have a 62 gallon tank so I feel confident on fuel consumption and are looking to make this run next summer with hopefully a couple other friends and their boats. Having the kids with us on that run I feel much better having other boats with us. Thanks for the info on customs and what to expect. Sounds like you make this run fairly often.
Yes I make this run usually every two to every three months love the Bahamas and thank you for watching my channel and the only thing you need to search is for good weather window and make sure you have a PLB in your boat is very useful even though you're going with other boats which is a safe way for your family. Have a great trip and navigate safe Cap.
Oh I know brother, I had to make the hard call of turning around and going back to Miami on the first day of our trip, but it was the safest call to make, and I have no regrets in making it. I've been on the water all of my life and have grown a healthy respect for the sea. The day I picked up my convertible, she nearly took it and me away because I hadn't realized how much power the seas have. I carry a Spot tracker with me now (my last wife's gift, since I was constantly going out in bad weather for tournaments) and it is great for letting other people watch your progress across the stream.
holy crap !! you got some balls ! you went by yourself in that small boat ? i wanna go too.... could you please tell me all the most important safety measures that need to be taken? and what to do , and what not to do ? Thank you
you need to study the weather very good there is an app that is call windfinder and that tells you the wind and wave size is very inportant, have your boat in top shape and call your us customs and imigrattion and get all the information you need from them and go to the bahamas website for arriving information and fees ,safety is very important so have with you a personal locator beacon that is water resistant. for my firt trip i prepared 6 months doing research i recommend you the same. remember as a captain of ur boat you are responsible for your Crew safety. travel safe ,if i can help in anything let me know
thank you so much for replying and giving me this information. I will definitely contact you if i need more information or closer to actually doing it. thank you very much again.
yes in good weather and equipment needed and communication or a buddy boat if is possible, and your engine needs to be in great shape Cap. in my opinion i will do it , navigate safe Cap.
I enjoy your videos. I caught a glimpse of the transducer on another video, and I am wondering where you located it along with how you ran your wiring. I'm about to take delivery on one in a few days. Could you make a short video on.... Thanks
This boat fits in the garage because it has a swing away tongue trailer and a lot of people have used it inside the garage I have not done it myself but there's a lot of boats that have trailers that have a swing away tongue that fits in your garage you just need to do some measurements
180 hp is Yamaha but there is something better now Scarab 195 Open fish look it up it looks very similar but it has 250 hp and more sporty thanks for watching
jthessin yes you can it all depends on the conditions of your engine and how well prepare your boat is but I also have to keep in mind what's going to be your cargo how many people are you taking in and your trip and how much fuel you have and what is your MPG used on your boat
id say 2 peeps of 350# 50 gal tank burns 13GPH at 3000RPM good for 30-35 depending on boat trim and water conditions. May have to get a bigger boat :-)
@@jimmiejohnson1404 my biggest recommendation is to try to get the best weather window and if you have a buddy boat with you it will be better and have communication as far as I radios or satellite phone if it's possible, the registration fee at Bahamas is $150 it gives you fishing license for three people
Ok great thank you I’m trying to find a group. That makes the crossing all the time. One guy from Facebook said my boat is to small an I said no I’veseen jet ski’s make the crossing
@@jimmiejohnson1404 I used to go to the Bahamas on my 19 foot boat 4 times a year with no problems but you have to make sure the weather is right and it's possible and if you have buddy boat with you even better there's no problem but if weather gets real bad that's when we all get in trouble that's why we have to avoid that bad weather
Thanks captain that was about 6 years ago And yes those were awesome trips on a small boat now the bigger boat is more comfortable with air conditioning👍😉🛥
looking into this boat, is it worth the price tag? looks like its a killer little boat. how is it holding up? and is the ride wet? (do you get splashed alot)
I enjoy every single video you have made they're pretty awesome but what I wanted to ask you how many engines do you have on that boat and what will happen if your engine fails right in the middle of the ocean I've been wanting to buy a boat to do exactly the same thing but they say it is very dangerous to just have one single engine
Carlos arancibia i only have one engine and I try to all ways have 2 full batteries and extra fast parts and I know some about mechanic bit if I can fix it and bad weather arrives I will be force to use my Personal locator beckon only if my life is in danger if is not I will wait for search and Rescue, I know that is a big possibility but I don't think of that too much on my trips. Thanks for watching my channel. Hello from Florida

What's the skinniest shallow water that you've been through with that jet boat on plane?
Doug Henderson less than 2 ft
How much and what kind of boat? Do you think it will fit in a single family car garage? Garage being 20ft long. Thanks.

How big is your fuel tank?
This year of model of boat only has 30 gallons captain
Now the newer models come with 40 gallons

Wow, that water is so flat, what Time of year did you go??
yaya I go about 4 times a year so almost at winter time I go and I just picked the best weather times so basically anytime of the year
Wow, it's beautiful out there..
yaya I agree it's one of my favorite place to visit and they also have great reef areas
Would August be a good time of year to go? That when I'm planning on going to the south and west side of Bahamas
yaya I've been there in August and it's been great whether you just got to look at the best weather window you can find so you have a comfortable ride
Nice video
Thanks cap that was an amazing trip for me
Nice boat! How do you like it so far? Does it have good power and how fast can it go?
i love it it has 180 hp and i can do about 51 mph with only me on the boat and it handels really good on the water
I have a 19 foot boat sea ray 195 an my wife an I are looking to make the crossing. This will be our first time
How old is your boat captain in is it in very good mechanical?
It’s a 2010 sea ray 195 sport.
I’ve had it service every year before an after boating season.
We are looking to cross a spend about a week there
