Once was the drummer in his former boss’s (Earnest Tubb) band with the rest of the troubadours is now front & center with his own band and has had numerous hits (aka - There goes my everything, Statue of a Fool and so many more). Jack Greene got his start with his former boss (Earnest Tubb) backing him up 100%. E.T. helped a lot of artists get their start & backed them up. E.T. has had his own faults (like his drinking, and other things like losing band members who wouldn’t put up with some of the stuff he did) but he was a great man.
Stellar lineup there..... Kinda strange to not see Jack back on the drums... Leon Rhodes killin it on that big Gretsch, and Buddy C on his Sho Bud. That was when Country Music was REAL.
Love it. Simple but powerful. Buddy Charleton just can't be beat on steel.
