Jack Greene's contribution to Country Music is very under-tated. Jack could sing the telephone directory and bring a tear to your heart and warmth to your heart. I love everything he ever released - What a Wonderful Singer and Performer!!! Thank You for sharing the Gem of a glimpse at one of my all-time Country Hero's.

Amen. As an audio engineer I have recorded some greats in country music and I never get tired of hearing Jack sing. His albums still live in my computer and played regularly. I'm a big fan of Mike Johnson on that steel guitar too!

Jack Greene had a very rough childhood but he sure turned out to be a humble gentleman with a fine voice. Great REAL COUNTRY MUSIC as George Jones would say ❤

I am not at all familiar with Mr. Greene, but I am familiar with this beautiful song! I first heard a recording of this song by Willie Nelson and Ray Price. I’ve loved it ever since! I will do more research on Mr. Greene’s recordings and hope to discover more treasures! Thank you for sharing! ☮️🖖🏽

Jack would have been 93 yesterday. I think Ray Price did a version of this song as well.

Yes. I heard Mo Pitney sing this before Jack Greene passed.
Mo is good but I loved Jack's version many years ago.

Does anyone know who the Young Lady with white shirt and dark hair is sitting to our left of Jack Greene? I can't place her. This is great hearing and saving this stuff on tape so we have it for all time. These great country stars are fading into heaven fast now. Happy Trails

The lady to Jack's right (our left) is Mandy Barnett. The lady on the other side of Jack is Carol Lee Cooper, leader of the Carol Lee Singers and longtime backup singers on the Opry. Carol Lee is the daughter of Stoney Cooper and Wilma Lee Cooper.

Mr. Jordan, I'm surprised nobody else answered your question. If you're talking about carollee, she was a long time featured backup singer of the Carolee singers.
