I was interested in photography the same way you would view any other visual art. Now I'm on the technical side of it. I wanted to look at cool photos and now I'm learning about f stops and exposure and all that. I don't even have a camera

As a professional photographer who just had a photo printed in the New York Times, I bow down to your expertise and experience and learn something every video of yours! There’s so much sunlight all the time Where I live in Florida so I love this video thank you
Congrats!
What’s the point of bringing up the exact publication? 💀
@@ei3554 Because it is a gold standard publication that most photographers aspire to their entire lives and never achieve
@@AngelaCruzTube If you're a professional photographer, then I'm the 9th Hokage.
LOL
Hey! Would you possibly shoot with a plus sized model? I'd love to see how you capture their beauty (:
Yes please!
THISS!!! ❤️
my take will be, I focus on their outfit more to be the most flattering to them, and getting to know the subject
I’ve started watching you 2 years ago. Now I have my own photography/videography company. Thank you for inspiring me and for sharing your knowledge with us.
I always avoid shooting in direct sunlight, but maybe I should just give it a go after watching this video. Thanks!🥰
thank you thank you! im a new photographer and most of my clients as of now are african american sooo with our skin tones people love shooting directly in the sunlight and so its something i've been working on to perfect, your advise was great and will apply it to my next shoot (which is tomorrow) take care stay safe!
I shoot photos for work, and our shoots are with real employees based on their schedule (which means, rarely during golden hour and usually during the hottest time of the day) so this was actually super helpful! Thank you for the advice Jess
The deeper I get in to learning about photography the more I realize there is to learn
I love love love your channel so much Jess!❤️
Your mode of delivery is soooo fun! 😄
The way you explain things, it feels like I am talking to a friend over coffee! 😊

Yeah. I’ve been having issues with direct sunlight for a long time. I have only tried changing angles. The rest of these ideas are super helpful!
Me looking at the back of my camera after this vid: "How's the family, how's everything"

Can you do a video about shooting at night?!?! Idk if it’s something that you do often but I would LOVE to know how you do shoots at night or with terrible lighting in general
Can you make a video on winter photoshooting?💙 When models wear warm clothes, more layers. How to pose them?
Ugh Jess your amazing 😻
Jessica, you are so hilarious girl. I love your personality and content so much 💛
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who has moments of wishing I didn't have a shadow

Such great tips! 😍
I love my shadow it goes with me everywhere. 😂😂 I love you Jessica!
Love this! thank you!!
That was very helpful and interesting, thank you!
Damn girl your look is POPPIN in this video!!
I’m just a beginning photographer and can’t explain how often I’ll adjust exposure because of the direct sun. Thank you for putting this video out👊
“How low can you go? Your ISO!” 😂😂😂
This is so interesting as a film photographer. I would say to overexpose to preserve the details if using film. Listening to you as a digital photographer is so refreshing from a different perspective ❤️
It has never occurred to me (hobby photographer only) that this is opposite. But it's true. (I've DONE both many times, but never actually thought about it.)
Thank you for sharing, Jess
Wow. This is really helpful information!
just started & have to say i love your eye makeup
Yes make this a series please!!!
Love this!
Love this thank you! I love shooting in direct sunlight too :)
Yes watch your shadows!!
She's the greatest 🥰
THANK you for this! this will be helping me!~
Awesome tips
The first photo is AMAZING!!!!
Omg i needed this
Great video! I enjoyed filming my taking my own IG pic video and I wish I had this info for that those pics. I had to scrap too many😔
Hey Jessica, I love the grade on your portraits. Especially the one at 3:40. Is that one of your presets? I like how it’s super warm but the different colors have just the right amount of saturation.
ugh the tones in this video set up r soooo nice
I love your videos so much
These are some great tips I will definitely watch my Peter Pan to my shadows !
Finally, Jessica made a video of my biggest insecurity.
I actually really like shooting in direct sunlight, its a great way to challenge yourself!
so helpful💖💖
What about white balance settings, what would you recommend?
i literally cant sleep without watch at least one of your videos
Is that a BLONDE Azizi in the thumbnail??? Omg I’m in love 😍
My preference for shooting underexposed is to go for a faster shutter speed rather than closing down the aperture. the amount of background blur is an aesthetic consideration as well as an exposure one.
i'm literally the 2nd like!!
Sooo early!!!
Great vid
Can you make a video on mobile photography..... please
I needed this... mentally
thank you
Thank youuu
Hi Jessica, How are you? The link to the page says: sorry page not found. When i type i myself then you get to the right page.
I love your shirt! 😆
Your are really a fabulous photographer ❤️
Love from India❤️
Can nd lenses be useful in those cases?
Thank you for all your content! Can you please do a video about posing people with round faces? I have a pie shaped face and I’m not sure how to pose.
After shooting strobe all the time it was refreshing to shoot natural again last week!
You can take a shot-through umbrella with the strobe pointing at the sun and bounced as a reflector. The shot-through will shade the subject. You power the strobe to mimic the sun intensity, shadow and direction. Imagine it as a fill that has a relative size that is a huge sun. It works!
2:50 “Peter Pan Peter Pan “ lmfao I’m freaking dying!!!
Hey can you show what a diffuser looks like, the price, which one you use from where and most importantly how to use it plss... Really love your work thanks ❤️
Anyone know the camera she is using?
Been here since the swimchick days Jessica 🙌
Shot with a wide open aperture in direct sunlight and wondering why my colors were washed out and blurry. Thanks for this
1:58 "Just think Peter Pan."
Me: Okay, time to have a child army.
Thanks @JessicaKobeissi Now I will always be thinking "Peter Pan!" and singing "how low can you go🎵 how long can you go 🎵"
Hi Im a Fan from Philippines!

Any tips on starting a UA-cam channel ? I’m currently trying to start one and have posted one video so far
