It's amazing how many good, solid and fun toys we're getting this movie. No crappy gimmicks, solid robot modes, great vehicle modes. I have been loving every figure in this line I have picked up so far. Makes me wish they would make a new Jazz and Ironhide with this kind of quality.
First thought: GUNS! Second thought: This dude just screams Bulkhead in his design. I have to say, a lot of these AoE toys look really good. It kind of gives me some hope for the movie.
This guy's got enough firepower for all the Autobots! And the spare tire just shows he's crazy prepared, not to mention his arms have a shit ton of ammo belts to feed the fire.
I'll have to wait an aaaage for this in the UK. I love how they made this work, all those weapons, rubber ammo clip arms & beard. The transformation is awesome too! Although I'm not so keen on the vehicle mode I guess it IS how he looks, which in itself is quite unique as a Oskosh Medium Defense Tactical vehicle.
Sun's out, guns out with this bot. I absolutely love this figure and can not wait to get it. It's like you said, this guy's a walking armory of guns! Each weapon would look great on multiple other figures and super badass on Hound. Kinda reminds me of Leader class Ironhide with the hidden weapons in the legs.
While I don't have plans to pick up much from the AOE line, outside of Evasion Op & the BB; I have to say this vid has warmed me up to adding Hound to my meager collection as well!
thank you so much for the Big lebowski reference!!!!!!! Figure looks pretty damn good as well. Love the green and bulk to him. Plus its Hound, and I've never owned a Hound figure before.
If the hand panels really bother you, you can take them off and store them behind the wheels in his back cavity. They're ever so slightly glued in place, but it should be easy enough to unslot them with sufficient care.
Okay, so I was sitting here thinking, "This looks pretty cool, I hope I see this in stores so I can grab one," but then you said he's John Goodman. Now I really want one. Makes me wish Jeff Bridges voiced a Transformer somewhere so I can continue your Big Lebowski references.
One of the most decent Movie figures in a long time. Last transformer I bought was HFTD Bumblebee (the BEST Transformer in years imo) but I'm definitely going to pick this guy up.
Hound weapons can be used by other TFs as well, especially from the Generations line. So yeah you can totally do Peaugh's enthusiastic «Hound's weapon gift-smash with fellow autobots» scene.
Methinks the plastic on his hands looks like knuckledusters. I'm really liking what I see here, I'm definitely getting this guy. I love how they've gone to the trouble of finding places for the weapons that doesn't make it look too goofy like the powerizer line... Just found out who's voicing him. Wow.
Whenever there is a figure that comes with more than two guns, those extras always go to different figures. I only have my hound displayed with his minigun
"The TakaraTomy version, part of the second wave of Lost Age: Movie Advanced toys, features black and brown on his vehicle and robot mode. Hound's helmet has a silver stripe running down the middle."
LOL, you just 'happened to be looking for a John Goodman figure'!? XD I just couldn't see John Goodman as this guy XD Hope he does him justice though =D
Holy crap, all of the guns.... Given that I plan on getting EV mode Optimus just to give his gun to DOTM Megatron, I may need Hound just so Optimus can use one of his spare guns.
Originally I was only going to get Evasion Mode Prime from the movie toys, as I hate most of the movie toys except for a few Human Alliances (Jazz awesome), a couple leader class and 1 or 2 deluxes and that's from all the movies, but now seeing this voyager I am strongly leaning toward this fig. Great review as all ways.
So where can we get this kind of action figure around here in Lancaster NY? I looked through some stores but there wasn't any in sight. I want this one so much!
***** Hasbro probably thinks that they have enough Bulkhead toys already from the Animated and Prime cartoons. Hound on the other hand haven't had an actual toy probably since the one that came with Ravage.
If only the hand kibble could fold away, this figure would be perfect. Just one detail short of perfection, and the designers got lazy. As it is, I'll give him a score of 8 out of 10.
10 points for the awesomely placed Big Lebowski reference!
Finally a toy from this line that isn't chrome covered garbage
this might be the best looking fig in he TF4 line!
Voyagers, this is probably the best. Deluxes will have to go to one of those power-ranger-Dinobots, those things look beast. (hah? get it?)
I've always wanted a Duck Dynasty Transformer! :D
best figure ever
Good lord, this guy could take out the whole Decepticon armada with those weapons!
It's amazing how many good, solid and fun toys we're getting this movie. No crappy gimmicks, solid robot modes, great vehicle modes. I have been loving every figure in this line I have picked up so far. Makes me wish they would make a new Jazz and Ironhide with this kind of quality.
This guy looks pretty badass. There's so much character in the sculpt. I wasn't planning on picking this guy up but may do so now.
The only complaints I have about the hound figure are they forgot to mold his cigar in his mouth and his big gut like in the movie
They couldn't include the cigar coz it's a kids toy....
+Ian Sin Duh, TF4 Is a movie for kids,
@Hideri Kanzaki bro this shit is five mf years old why the fuck you bringin it up again
It looks like bulkhead!
I usually stay away from movie figures, but I gotta say that this figure looks incredible! Love it! I might have to pick him up.
First thought: GUNS!
Second thought: This dude just screams Bulkhead in his design.
I have to say, a lot of these AoE toys look really good. It kind of gives me some hope for the movie.
I totally agree about the walking armory. "Oh you need another gun, here ya go!" Exactly what I was thinking seeing all those weapons on him.
This guy's got enough firepower for all the Autobots!
And the spare tire just shows he's crazy prepared, not to mention his arms have a shit ton of ammo belts to feed the fire.
ain't NO rollin on Shabbos!! XD
Love it peaugh, the reigning king of TF reviewing on youtube!
*hears the joke about Hound patroling on Saturdays*
...leave the jokes to Vangalus, ok?
I'll have to wait an aaaage for this in the UK. I love how they made this work, all those weapons, rubber ammo clip arms & beard. The transformation is awesome too! Although I'm not so keen on the vehicle mode I guess it IS how he looks, which in itself is quite unique as a Oskosh Medium Defense Tactical vehicle.
I swear to god if Hound doesn't kill like, a hundred cons with this arsenal in the movie, I'll be massively disappointed.
Finally movie came out and you won't be disappointed.
He does exactly that and uses every single thing considered deadly to get the job done. Even is shell casing cigar!
Malik
I have yet to see the film, but I have seen that in trailers, even him flicking the cigar at one of the humans.
No I mean *minor spoiler* a man made robot was on top of him and he made the cigar blow in the mmr's face
***** I just saw the movie, you won't be disappointed.
Sun's out, guns out with this bot. I absolutely love this figure and can not wait to get it. It's like you said, this guy's a walking armory of guns! Each weapon would look great on multiple other figures and super badass on Hound. Kinda reminds me of Leader class Ironhide with the hidden weapons in the legs.
... goddammit i was planning on skipping this movies' toys, but i literally cant resist robots that come with 10000 guns
Awesome figure of Hound its a combination Bulkhead (body) and Kup ( face of old autobots) Love it :)
"I bought him mostly because I wanted a John Goodman action figure."
Made my night.
Totally loved the Big Lebowski reference Peaugh!
Nice Big Labowski reference.
Thank you for making a The Big Lebowski joke
If the hand panels really bother you, you can take them off and store them behind the wheels in his back cavity. They're ever so slightly glued in place, but it should be easy enough to unslot them with sufficient care.
Bumblebee also used a john goodman sound clip from Lebowski when he gets next to springer "I'm perfectly calm dude".
This is automatically my favorite AoE toy so far. Which means I won't be able to find it until 2016. LOL
This guy looks freakin awesome.I am really impressed with this guy.
This figure seems great from what I see, I greatly look forward to buying him. Thanks for the review, peaugh.
When you got excited over the walking armory it kimda made my day :)
nice transformation scheme.
pretty simple yet fun looking
One of the most decent Movie figures in a long time. Last transformer I bought was HFTD Bumblebee (the BEST Transformer in years imo) but I'm definitely going to pick this guy up.
This figure SCREAMS effort! Galvatron...well let's say all of the effort went to this guy.
Hound weapons can be used by other TFs as well, especially from the Generations line. So yeah you can totally do Peaugh's enthusiastic «Hound's weapon gift-smash with fellow autobots» scene.
I was having the exact same thaught with you while I was watching. I hope there is a scene that Bumblebee takes a gun from his hip!
Wow.
Holy crap...
I haven't bought a transformer in years.
But this Hound might be enough for me to get back into them...
OMG how are the voyagers for Age of Extinction so much better then the leaders or year of the horse figures???
I mean seriously, THE DING DANG LEADER GRIMLOCK IS JUST RETARDED LOOKING ALONG WITH THE LEADER OPTIMUS!!!
NVM, i take back optimus, BUT GRIMLOCK IS JUST RETARDED AND THE T-REX MODE JUST LOOKS STUPID!!!!!!!!!!
Michael Heniser AGREED
Nothing about the leaders or year of the horse figs can compare to these...
Well you can always blame Michael Bay
troll post no. 1: 'meh, needs more guns'
troll post no. 2: 'ey yo dawg, i heard you like guns so we made a gun made of guns'
When you mentioned 'Throwing a shot gun' all I could think of was Red vs Blue Season 9. Anyways, great review and I really want to get him.
Hound has so much fucking character...
Hasbrotoyshop.com had this in stock??!
I thought you and Baltmatrix got this figure from some super secret source.
LOOOVE the intro music!
the best transformer so far, more like this one plz
Really looks like the best of the line
So basically best figure in the series so far
Whenever there is a figure that comes with more than two guns, those extras always go to different figures. I only have my hound displayed with his minigun
Really cool figure for a really bad character design.
Combined gun just makes me think 'He is going to shoot knives!'.
Hes probably the best Auto-Bot of them all
I wish he came with his double-barreled assault rifle he had in the movie, but still, this weapon assortment is MASSIVE.
Decepticon: I... come... in peace..?
Hound (takes out his giant combined gun): You're about to leave in pieces!
yep I like him
Damn! Best movie line figure I have seen to date
"Say what you will about the tenets of Decepticon philosophy, at least it's an ethos."
This....and Evasion Mode Prime are the best figures from the whole series
In the latest AoE trailer with more Hound, really has me excited about this character!
That's actually a really cool figure!
"The TakaraTomy version, part of the second wave of Lost Age: Movie Advanced toys, features black and brown on his vehicle and robot mode. Hound's helmet has a silver stripe running down the middle."
You know what else you get in the box?? Him in robot form!! start it off this way! I'm going back to baltmatrix
I really want him to sound like a big, bulky Canadian lumberjack! Lol
Chopin' Trees with no axe, only bullets..... eh!
well hes gona be voiced by john goodman
Awesome! Canadian transformer John Goodman bullet lumberjack!!
yeah
The world can never have enough Canadian transformer John Goodman lumberjack choppin' trees with bullets LoLz.
Seeing the movie design, this one looks a little heavy. A couple of grenade belts and a bandolier would probably make him look better.
ack! I meant empty, not heavy
Cool figure. it seems to me that Hound is going to be the Ironhide of the new trilogy
hahaha,i love that big lebowski reference!
He's a good figure as I seen. I hope to get him soon
hound: oh no. my friends are out of ammo (tosses an arm)
LOL, you just 'happened to be looking for a John Goodman figure'!? XD I just couldn't see John Goodman as this guy XD Hope he does him justice though =D
Great Big Lebowski reference!
I wonder if Kermit the Frog, and Hound have the same problem. Everyone knows that "it's not easy being green."
Hound is like the new ironhide. He is loaded with weapons.
More toys needs to come with their personal BFG, especially if the BFG is made from like a billion smaller guns.
Definitely one of the funniest characters in the movie
hound will never replace ironhide. he was THE top of the line Autobot.
Reprolabels get me a few nice white stars to put on him and yeah Perfection G1! son.
thanks for the heads up on how awesome this one is peugh
3:15 Big Lebowski reference
I almost expected that to be Bulkhead, but Hound is awesome. Ironhide will live through Hound.
Hound, played by John Goodman! Co-starring: Guns!
Awesome review as always peaugh.
He has a gun made of guns that shoot guns. And arms made of guns that hold the gun that shoots guns.
YOU ARE ENTERING A WORLD OF PAIN!
If Hound, In the movie, takes that big fuck off gun and attach all the smaller ones to it and starts busting shit up, I will leave the cinema happy...
Oh, ho ho, I am definitely picking this one up when I have the chance! :D
7:29 Yo dawg, I heard you liked guns.
Nice job,armpit holster
Thumbs up for Big Lebowski reference.
He should have been called Bulkhead. It's clear that with these movies, the writers are taking most of their inspiration from the G1 cartoon.
sweet! #1 on my to get list. great review!
nice big lebowski reverence
So where can we get this kind of action figure around here in Lancaster NY? I looked through some stores but there wasn't any in sight. I want this one so much!
I live here in nj they sale them here
you don't say. I just hope we get them up here in Lancaster NY soon
???
TheAvengersRising I live In buffalo and you can get these in target and toysrus
Come on studio series where are you with this guy
Ugh, Hound is a tracker, not a clone of Ironhide. Bay refuses to learn anything about these characters.
This isn't G1. Realize that.
Ok i agree. He is no clone, however in the movie he is replacing ironhide
***** Hasbro probably thinks that they have enough Bulkhead toys already from the Animated and Prime cartoons. Hound on the other hand haven't had an actual toy probably since the one that came with Ravage.
***** I learned it from the start, that's Bay=Gay
He is suppose to be Bulkhead.
I just thought that the plates on his hands were hand guards to prevent his hands from being shot
If only the hand kibble could fold away, this figure would be perfect. Just one detail short of perfection, and the designers got lazy. As it is, I'll give him a score of 8 out of 10.
this and evasion OP proly the only 2 i get for this line. i just still kinda mad that they call him hound when he clearly bulkhead
he is a great robot in vehicle and robot mode, I got the action figure and its pretty fun
