In your Setup video, you mentioned that the auto-brightness does not work especially well. I’ve noticed the same, but this was also a minor irritation with my old Max-2. As a result, I typically run maximum brightness in daylight, and switch to auto brightness at night. So, it’s a long-standing issue. Curiously, my old DSP Escort and original Passport were both very good at handling auto-dimming.
It comes out to $73.12 but yeah. 💩 Now I will say this, with the V1 and Uniden, the small suction cups fail and only solution seems to be to buy blendmount, which is 100. So true cost would be 499+100=~599. Whereas the large suction mount that comes with escort has been great in past. I get it, it is the best of both worlds (v1 and r7 ) so they feel its worth more. I'll wait a while and hope for a small pricedrop.

Hi, I have a question about the Redline 360c. I noticed that the speed Display all the way on the Left of the screen does not Change while I’m Driving. Can you tell me why that is ? I also noticed that just to the left of that Display is another Display indicating, which is the current driving speed. My indicator is about 2 to 3 miles per hour off. It’s indicating faster than the speedometer is on my car. I don’t know why it’s doing this either ? I did sign up for an Escort Live subscription and I thought that would fix these problems. How do I get the alerts to play threw my iPhone Bluetooth? I have the detector mounted on my motorcycle and can’t see the display so I need to rely on the detector to alert me threw my helmet Bluetooth
I made the jump and upgraded from the 9500IX to the RL360c and received it the other day. So much quieter with all the BSM faulses. Is there a way to show the speed limit with your phone screen off via bluetooth or do you have to rely on wifi if you don't drive with the Escort Live app open and screen on? My redline keeps alerting to KA and shows how many feet away, i don’t get the normal alarm or red Arrows, Just the green arrow on the screen. When I get to the location there’s Nothing there
Hey Vortex, I have a question about setting up my Valentine Gen 2 for a Cross country road trip. I live in PA and have it set up based on your video (filtering out k bands etc. that aren't used here in PA). However, my trip will take me through several states that use laser, KA, K, etc. What is your recommendation? I was thinking about setting up a profile in the V1 app for each state 1 by 1 and then just changing my setting as I enter each state. Is there a better way?
That took me a second because this is a Redline 360c video, not a V1 video. If you're using JBV1 for your V1 with Android, it can automatically program your V1 like that if you want. That's not an option on iOS though. See this video for more info: ua-cam.com/video/X5NxweDP6WI/v-deo.html

Had a question. What if by accident I hit the lockout on an actual radar band. I’d there a way to reverse it. Or does that work. It’s on a Uniden R9. Thank you for your time and videos.
When you come across the signal again, you can unlock it by double pressing the mute button. Other than clearing all your all lockouts, there isn't a way to delete a specific lockout when the signal isn't present.
I wish we could get a visor mount for these. It kind of makes it pointless to be immune to RDD's if it can't be physically hidden. However, having a true dark mode is nice. Nice vid.
@@VortexRadar I actually prefer a more symmetrical looking detector. Actually kind of prefer a bit larger of a detector than say, a Radenso. Juts like the look of the 360c case platform.
@@ZboeC5 I had a blue 8500 (could have been the blue 9500ix but I can't be 100% posistive and got pulled over for window tint and the cop gave me shit about my radar detector.... but this WAS in Virginia around 2003.
Virginia used to confiscate your radar detector and give you a fine if you were caught with one. I'm not sure if Virginia law still requires the officer to confiscate the detector or not but I would want to mitigate that risk as much as possible with an $800 detector. With the Redline 360C being so large and the lack of mounting options it seems useless to attempt running it in areas where detectors are illegal...or be willing to give up your detector, pay your fines, and accept your points on your license. The risk doesn't seem worth it to me. I'll stick the RL 360C in the glove box and run my R3 with the visor mount in those areas.
@@miked582 Depending on your car you can put a sticky pad on top of the dashboard and have it sitting in a corner by the pillar. Most cars have bends so it can look pretty hidden, might need longer cable though.
One thing I hate about the detector is that when you try to turn it off sometimes you accidentally hit the mark button because the power button is so small
I just pre-ordered a Redline 360c, when it'll arrive, I have no idea as they are still on backorder. I currently own one of the original Redline detectors and have it mounted to the RVM with a Blendmount, its hardwired into the RVM. My question is, with the new magnetic attachment, is there a way for me to continue using the Blendmount or will I need a new bracket that has a magnet? Thanks.
Congrats on the upgrade! Do you know how long it takes for it to arrive because when I ordered it they say said it'll come in two days,because I paid fast shipping. The last 10 plus years or so I've been looking into laser Jammers but the top-of-the-line thing at the time was blinded laser Jammers can you give us any info on those, and what happened to them and if they wore any good. Blinder laser Jammers was based out of Florida. I spoke with them once and it seemed kind of Shady. Back then the only information we got was from, "radar Roy". LOL thanks love your video's
Ah Blinders were great back in the day, yeah. I used to run HP-905's. When DragonEyes started coming out, Blinder and LI got replaced by the ALP. Blinder's main rep, passed away a couple years back. Eventually Blinder wanted to release new jammers that could jam the DragonEye, but since their main rep was gone, they now sell their jammers to Escort and they're sold under the names ShifterMax, ZR5, and ZW5.

Generally no. You could use a GoPro for that, but you get about an hour before the battery runs out. Usually they plug into your cig. lighter for power or hardwire into your fuse box. I have RL360c connected to wifi. But it doesn’t display speed limit. I plugged in the max 360c and the speed limit shows up no problem. Does anyone experience this symptom from RL 360c?
@@VortexRadar Yes I saw that in your tutorial, but on my Redline now while I am driving in dark mode I push one of the buttons and voltage displays for a few seconds and then turns off, and thank you for your response.
The Max 360c is pretty capable too, especially after the latest update to get some features the Redline 360c has. If you need even longer range, better false alert filtering, or RDD immunity then sure, you can upgrade, but I don’t know if you really need to.
I am getting lots of false Ka rear alerts. Is this normal and is it something I can fix or is it a firmware issue. I have the 1.3 version. Oh I have the redline 360c

Oh, you wouldn't happen to be running a Blackvue dashcam, would you? Those sometimes cause false alerts, especially when 5 GHz WiFi is enabled. Switching to 2.4 GHz or disabling WiFi can solve the issue.
I’m confused by what you’re asking, but no that’s not a lockup. Your best bet would be to reach out to Escort customer service so they can help you address any issues you’re seeing.
Cedar Electronics should go back to version 1.5 for International user for their 360C International. Current version 1.6 is a piece of crapp, a lot of bands are just a alarm clock function. Cedar sticks their head into the sand "no back to 1.5" "no updates planned" So my 2 cents : "DON'T BUY CEDAR / ESCORT PRODUCTS UNTIL THEY GET THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IN ORDER"

Other than perhaps an updated comparison with all the top detectors, I don't really have plans for more RL360c videos at this time.

Congrats on the upgrade! The speed limit info comes from the cloud so if you’re not connected via your phone, you’ll need to use WiFi instead.

Yeah it's a large detector with a bulky mount too, not exactly physically stealthy...

On my "old but still great Redline" when in dark mode, I hit a button and I can see the voltage, how does that work on the new Redline 360c?
If you disable the speed display, it will show the voltage in place of it.

Vortex Radar the WiFi is set to on. But I don’t have it connected to WiFi. Maybe that’s it.

Cedar Electronics should go back to version 1.5 for International user for their 360C International.
Current version 1.6 is a piece of crapp, a lot of bands are just a alarm clock function.
Cedar sticks their head into the sand "no back to 1.5" "no updates planned"
So my 2 cents : "DON'T BUY CEDAR / ESCORT PRODUCTS UNTIL THEY GET THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IN ORDER"

I bought one about 6months back & i went back a couple days ago and got a replacement a new redline 360c because it won't work.
So please can you tell me what all segments i should have on & then everything i should have off.

As far as segments for MO, again I have no idea. Looks like 2/5/8 could work, but 2/4/5/6/8 is becoming the new standard recommendation replacing 2/5/8. www.rdforum.org/threads/58040/
@VortexRadar Thank-You just saw this I guess my YT notifications were off. Thanks, brother!! Hopefully, escort will make a radar that has 4 antennas. It seems like false advertising to show on the box 4 arrows and the side 2 doesn't tell you the radar signal directions.
