Believe it or not that blue oval ragtop you said was your favorite belongs to a close family friend his names Alex. He redid the car a couple years ago he had it sky blue with the white two tone and matching interior, porsche boxster wheels and more of a custom feel to it. But he's gone back and done everything more original, period correct paint and interior, real fuch wheels and went through the turbo setup and had it redone at chico performance. The car is even more sick now than when i used to ride around in it as a kid. My hero car.
@@Louis_B_creations yeah np I'm gonna try and go out to the open house next year i just bought my own beetle a 63 that I'm gonna take out there hopefully.
Believe it or not I had a 58 that wasn't an Oval Window like the split oval olive one I had the small square European model. I miss that car back in the early 90s, that car got me laid a lot! 😂😂😂😂😂
Hey everybody thank you to everybody who showed a lot of interest in this video. I just released another VW event video make sure to check it out. Thank you guys
100% agree.! I’ve owned one for about 6 months. And sadly I had to get rid of it. That was about 9 years ago. And I’ve been looking and wanting one ever since.
Have had a 63 rag top, and a 68 convertible Ghia. My parents had a 70 Bus and a 65 Bug. I would like to do either a pre 70 Ghia as a cruiser or drag car, or a baja bug that's front halfed, caged, powered by a VTEC, Ecotech, or Subie; something I can drive hard in the So Cal desert.
I was just looking at air-cooled VW show content. I see EMPI Grand opening, thinking, alright all kinds of VWs. No, we're just looking at bugs... All the beautiful, 'other' VWs get walked passed. "I'm not a, fan, of the busses. But, it's cool." "See, I like the verts. But in my opinion, they only look good with the top down." I was starting to question how deep into the scene you were. Usually VW people are into everything air-cooled VW. But seeing you have an interest, and are just getting into it, a bug is a great starting point. I remember when I was still super green with the VWs. It is definitely an educational experience. My first year with my Beetle was a learning process. Thank God for UA-cam. There's so many things to to be aware of as far as upkeep and maintenance, you get to develop a good connection with your vehicle. And you definitely find a big appreciation for when you see one of these running down the road. Good luck with the raffle. Seeing that you want to do a car as a mother son project, really makes me want that for you. I've had my project I restarted a few years ago with the intention of being able to take my mom out for drives and ice-cream runs. But she passed lst November before Thanksgiving. You obviously have a great relationship with your mom, and she seems to have a good sense of humor. I'm glad I stuck around until the end to see your whole video. I'm definitely subscribing to see where you go on this VW journey. As well as see what this G35 is about.
Louis, great video, great bugs! Thanks for sharing. Yes I agree the convertibles look better with the top down. And yes you can fix up a cool bug in the year models 68 to 73.
As a kid in the 70's you'd see VW bus and Baja bugs running the streets then the 80's brought performance bugs with dual webers and Porsche alloys definitely a cool time to grow up.
I was born and raised in Riverside, CA, the home of Empi. I remember seeing the building and the original logo. When we were first married my wife and I had a yellow ‘63, white turn signals and all.
@@Louis_B_creations we would really like to but both now being retired and such it’s just not ‘in the cards’ as the saying goes….but we remember what a great vehicle it was (stock as a rock).
Thank you for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed it. I know there is just something about them, maybe cause they are like lil go karts lol but thank you I appreciate it I really hope I find one too. I just filmed another event today so stay tuned I’ll be posting that video next week sometime

❤❤❤❤ we have Herbie the love bug 1969 VW beetle 🐞
I'm thinking you might want togo some shade of blue on your bug😘
What sounds better than a cleverly modified, normally aspirated VW flat four? A more modified, normally aspirated VW flat four of course.
Why wait years I have a 65 sunroof sitting in my back yard
Nice video!
Beetle people don`t get into road rage incidents, bar fights or any type of gang wars.At least I`ve never heard of any.
You should do it.
Hitlers Dream Car! still lives!
I want one too !
That would be awesome content you and mom on a build
That’s the plan one day if I can land myself a bug
That is nice
Thank you for this video. Have always had a soft spot for these classic Beetles. I want one too they are so cool and quirky! 😁👍👍
Hope you find one.

17:40 What’s the motor? 😲
did your video get demoned. Lots of background music. I could not use actual sound on much of the video.
Yes it did. I still get some monetization but not fully.
Just watched your video it was good man. Really liked it
👍👍👍
Muito doído
Why did you exclude all the Buggies? That’s a big part of the VW scene.
And I mainly wanted to film bugs because that’s what I’m a huge fan of
At the next event I can sell them everything but yeah I’m in the event of the bugs because I used to own one
If you or anyone you is interested I have a 63 original ragtop that I’m going to be parting out
Volkswagen were in style a long time ago lots of people were driving them around
I bet they are timeless cars for sure. I hope to one day own another one. They are so fun
@@Louis_B_creations Yes! If you have the money too keep fixing them
Buy it now before it gone
Do a bug together!!!!!

Smith James Thomas Anna Young Sarah
Nobody even notices the water cooled Subaru powered Bug at 10:55. How the hell do you video something so special and miss it????
