While these people are utterly unscrupulous and abominable, I think it's easy to get stuck in the trap of assuming everyone around the world needs a car. The woman Kit was portraying definitely shouldn't have been driving. Also, car ownership isn't the necessity for a lot of South Asians (primarily Indians, where these centres tend typically operate from) that it is for many Americans, but a luxury. I wouldn't assume they imagine they're stranding someone with no way of getting around. Not that I expect they'd care all that much if they *did* think that.

When the scammer gets anxious whenever Kitboga mentions calling the bank, should be the biggest red flag for any victim.

I get a lot of people telling me their entire life story, where they grew up, what they did for a living, how they met their significant other... Surprisingly enough, I never ask for it but get hit with it for no good reason as their response to my question of "Which doctor are you here to see today?"
Moral of the story, no stranger wants to hear your life story unprompted, unless they're a scammer, then they totally want to hear you talk about your life for hours on end so you don't give them money
