- Rendez vous dans le lieu le plus filmé des sessions acoustiques du Cargo. Beaucoup de rencontres dans cet hôtel. Le lieu n'a en fait que relativement peu d'importance dans les sessions du Cargo. C'est plus la rencontre, l'envie des artistes et tout un tas de petites choses qui fait une session réussie, ou non, quel que soit l'endroit où nous filmons.
Les Kula Shaker. Quelques tubes planétaires à leur actif dans les années 90 et une période plus...calme. Mais cela nous amusait beaucoup de les rencontrer et de voir ce que cela pouvait donner en acoustique.
Crispian Mills le leader des Shaker n'a pas le don de te mettre à l'aise tout de suite. En fait on a plus l'impression que la promo, la session, tout cela le fait plus chier qu'autre chose. Mais qu'à cela tienne, nous sommes là alors autant tourner... et puis l'autre membre du groupe, Alonza Bevan qui a quand même joué avec le mythique Johnny Marr, qui lui est absolument charmant, parlant français...parlant avec vous ...tout court !
Et très vite tout cela est oublié. Deux morceaux. Et cette voix. La voix de Crispian Mills. Un vrai retour vers le futur. Plus de 15 ans en arrière. Une ambiance bluesy, teintée de country s'installe dans l'entrée de cet hôtel. Juste en dessous de Pigalle, il aurait pu pour quelques minutes se situer dans une rue de la nouvelle Orléans.
Et puis en partant on apprend que l'attitude de Mills n'a rien à voir avec une humeur du jour, avec notre attitude à nous ou je ne sais quoi, mais que de toujours il a été...disons... lunatique... insaisissable !!! Haaaa ces artistes !!
