Rather than upgrade the speakers which needs the original speakers driller out from the doors as they are secured with heavy steel rivets, simply install a HU813 radio from a same year car, add the amplifier and the cable to the amplifier. A completely different sounding system. I have the HU813 unit with the stock speakers and there is simply no comparison with the HU603 coupled the premium speakers. I actually removed the premium speakers and put back the base paper speakers which sound more reach and whoomp with the HU813. For later models, the HU650 can be upgraded with the HU850 + amp + harness.
hi I have hu-650 - if I will put central speaker in - will it work with this radio ? and if i will put blaupunkt subwoofer to conection for sub will it works ?

i cant find any 813, also how would you put the amplifier in? would you have to get all wires out and put them in there?

Under the right (passenger) frontseat usually. It's under the exhaust from the AC.
Does the 850 play mp3 CDs?
No it doesnt play mp3 cds

The radio in the Buick Century sounds better than the standard Volvo speakers. Haha.
