    The scene when vergil was defeated is more tragic than any other scene , he literally had an ideology , a clear goal and a plan , no friends at all , just imagine the loneliness he felt when even his brother stood against him after arkham's betrayal

      It really does make you sympathise with Vergil. It makes me realise that Vergil isn’t truly an evil person, despite what he’s done. He’s just someone who is conflicted, misunderstood, misguided, and blinded by trauma.

      @@ShadowDante7me too. It’s proof that she really love Dante as a father. Which would have made her & Nero cousins, who are more like siblings. Something interesting to see if we do get a 6th game, now that Itsuno has left Capcom. I also think it would be nice for Nero to have her mom as his’s.

      @@marcusmayo basically sums it up. Even though Arkham was a horrible guy, she can’t ignore the fact that he is her father either way
      Idk if she is better or worse now that she killed her father. On one hand she’s definitely traumatised from it, but at the same time she seems to be calmer nowadays

      @@ShadowDante7 I think Lady is trying to cope with it. She definitely looks better, but you know what they say looks can be deceiving. In fact I think it still hurts her, evidence of this was in DMC5 when she and Trish was trying to talk Nero out of not to kill his own father, Vergil. Lady would wish to spared him in the end of what she and Dante went through. In a way, you could say Lady and Dante was attempting to protect Nero in a way.

    • @ShadowDante7
      @ShadowDante7  2 роки тому +4

      @@marcusmayo of course. No matter how evil your father might be, in the end of the day they are still your father. Nero is lucky he didn’t end up killing Vergil, it would’ve ruined him. I mean besides, he was lonely all his life and only had Kyrie and Credo (mostly Kyrie) so honestly he was lucky to actually have a father and uncle in the first place anyway.
      Arkham was despicable no doubt, but it makes sense Lady still misses him regardless of that. Especially in DMC5 when she says “you’d never recover from that” to Nero. She probably had no choice but to kill him and it’s unfortunate. She probably remembers all the good times she had with him before he ends up turning evil.

    24:50: The moment with V and Trish is really cool. Finally, V/Vergil realized that his pursuit of power was false and that he sacrificed his relationship with his brother for it. DMC5 has truly been one of the best stories in the franchise ...after DMC3 of course Or maybe DMC3 and 5 are equals in story telling. :)

    • @ShadowDante7

      I agree! Vergil was always a very interesting, complex, well written character. But V made him even more interesting. I love that V actually shows remorse here.
      Honestly, V is much more like Vergil than Urizen ever will be. The only thing Urizen represents is Vergil’s lust for power, and that’s it. V on the other hand actually shows us some of Vergil’s personality, fears, passions, but also very importantly, his redeeming qualities.

    • @edwaaard46
      @edwaaard46 10 місяців тому +6

      Yes true. V acts/behaves similarly to Vergil. The way he speaks, walks, it's all Vergil. What makes sense, because V is a part of Vergil. Urizen is just Vergils demonic power in full form. It's a very cool concept that the Yamato is capable of separating the human side of Vergil. And that the Rebellion is capable of uniting people. Actually, when you think about it, it was an unconscious smart move by Vergil to separate himself. This way, he got a break from himself and could hang out with Dante and all his friends for a while and experience true friendship with these people. I think it was the only way for Vergil to finally realize that all his power pursuits were not worth it in the end. V said to Urizen/Vergil when he was defeated by Dante: "When we are connected by this one feeling...". I think this "one feeling" was added to Vergils personality and to his emotions.. To feel compassion for Dante again. And overall, to feel his humanity again. He could finally let go of all his hate and pursuit of power. Vergil had some massive Psychological transformations in 5. It's a big lesson in life anyway.. To learn how TO LET GO of things. Letting go creates some space for better emotions, like freedom and love. I think Vergil gained that in the end. He was able to let go of all his negative emotions and let some positive ones in. @@ShadowDante7

      @@edwaaard46 you’re exactly right. Vergil is already a pretty tragic character. If he got all the power he wanted, he honestly might’ve become even more tragic. Because if he achieved his goal, he will realise in the end it all means nothing and isn’t fulfilling.
      Dante’s character arc was about embracing his demonic side, while Vergil was about embracing his human side. And it seems they have both been able to accept that. Because now Vergil can be on the path to true power.

    • @edwaaard46
      @edwaaard46 10 місяців тому +2

      Yeah, what kind of power? You mean the psychological power? The power of higher emotions and love, acceptance, and forgiveness?
      And yes, it's true, Vergil is a very tragic character in DMC. Even though he is a smart, intellectual kind of philosopher, he still thought he was doing the right thing with his pursuit of demonic power. He thought he could be like his father and have the power of Sparda. Did you read the DMC 3 Manga? There is a chapter where you see Vergil abandoned by his mother and stubbed by the Demons countless times. I mean, alone, this is so traumatic for a child. And the ultimate thought is that his mother left him alone to die and rescued Dante. I just can't imagine how deeply wounded Vergil was. Being alone and thinking all the time about all the events that happened. Dante got a goodbye from his mother, at least.
      He later found meaning and purpose in literature. William Blake (I myself actually adore William Blake as a poet). Let's be honest, Vergil was never suited for "normal" life. I don't think he would do the same as Dante, having a store (Devil May Cry) and hunting demons for cash. He always dreamed of something bigger, more important and more fulfilling. He is indeed a true artist, I believe. I think Vergil could have become a great Poet himself.
      If Dante and Vergil ever got out of hell, I can imagine that Vergil would pursue a different kind of life than Dante.
      I like Vergil a bit more than Dante. Just because I have similar interests as Vergil. Dante is just a fucking rock star. @@ShadowDante7

      @@edwaaard46 yes, that’s what I mean.
      And I completely agree by the way. I am still currently reading some of the mangas but yes that is true. It’s really sad how Vergil thought he was abandoned by his mother and that he thought Dante was favoured over him (even though that wasn’t true) Vergil is blinded by his trauma. He wouldn’t have become the way he is if it wasn’t for what he went through as a child. It’s also really tragic how Mundus brainwashed and enslaved him for a long time. Vergil is meant to be sympathised with, arguably even more so than Dante. Since at least Dante didn’t grow up believing he was abandoned, or become enslaved by his the devil who murdered his mother.
      Although I’m not sure if I prefer Dante or Vergil. I love both so it’s pretty equal for me. But I can agree that I relate to Vergil a lot. I also think Nero deserves some love and appreciation too. Those 3 are easily my favourite characters in the series by far

    Credo’s death was an impact to both Nero & Kyrie. Him taking care of his sister & their adopted brother, after their parents died, was rough. He & Nero were like reflections of Nero’s father & uncle. With Credo being a nice version of Vergil. Until he found about Nero being a Demon, who he try to kill. Only for him to learn about his sister’s treatment, that the Order was doing. Which force him to do the right thing by saving both her & Nero. But gets killed by Sanctus. Leaving him to beg Dante to save them, as his final wish. Which was also the reason why Nero save Dante & Vergil from killing each other. Just so they can settle their differences, like how he & Credo did in the previous game. Which Dante could recall of what he & Kyrie went through. And they did. Something that Kyrie & the girls had to be proud of. They know that Nero is not his father, nor his uncle. They love him the way he is. Like a big brother trying to look after his family, as the only man left. While they could tell what a better father he’ll make one day. One who knows how to keep his family safe, & not be anything like the deadbeats that Dante killed for them over the years. It would also be nice for him & Kyrie to have Trish as the Godmother for their children. While Lady would be their mentor, who teaches them how to fight. Nico would also be the cool loving aunt, for them to play with. Which leaves Patty to be another Godmother, who do anything to be by their side.
