No. That "full" phrase, and many other "second halves" to popular phrases were affixed to the end in like... the 1970s or something by some author. Maybe even newer than that in this case? The original was just "jack of all trades" and was considered a compliment under most circumstances. "Master of none" got tacked on like a century after the original phrase to make it have a negative connotation. The phrase you're quoting is just more extra fluff someone else added on to make it explicitly positive.

Based on the translation kinohi wood would actually be hinoki wood, its a miss translation, the reason i know this is because I wanted to name a character after a type of wood so i looked it up. This character has earthy tones as their color palette and this name was actually perfect for them.

The thing is the vice principal and principle or so does stupid, for one they could have just put him with the other girls and help them I don't know build more stuff cuz if he can build a house he can build other things all that to do is not put them into special class anymore and it's put him in normal classes that way they can make more money because keep in mind he can make anything with his special jack of all trades which literally means he can do any job. Pretty much he can build a mansion, build an entire city, make weapons, and can create art if he wanted to and sell it to other people making a boatload of money but no they think because his skills are low . That he not good enough but if you can build a house that easily he can build other stuff to make them more money.

The writers are definitely cruel to Leo they have a character just one I point everything is except for dexterity which is 2,000. Now they were trying to make him an underdog but that's a bit Overkill but I know they want to make him a weak character and allow him to grow over time that's usually how it goes. I know his dexterity will actually come in handy later down the line. For example he'll be able to make be able to make deadly weapons or make Invincible armor. And his other skills will gradually get stronger over time.
