  • Check this beast of a trailer out! Haven't posted a walk-through in a while so it was about time.
    Don't bother commenting how shaky the video is or that you can't hear me. I don't claim to be a youtuber, I'm not good at it and not getting any better.

    Ive seen hundreds of trailers and I still very much like yours for its simplicity and "SIZE"!!! Im a 200lb guy with 3 kids and a wife so the tiny campers always leave me wanting a just a tad more space. Not many people make a square drop trailer big enough for bunk beds or a chair and a desk setup inside. Great work!!!!!

    Absolutely love Tern windows and doors. Everything about this trailer screams quality. Great idea not following the crowd and squeezing a big fridge in the galley. DIY access is also fantastic. Can't wait to see the XL version.

    Fantastic build. The Artic Tern pieces are what pushes this trailer into the high end category. Well done sir

    Wow. Possibly the best build I've seen of any manufacturer, and the options chosen are also fantastic. I will call you to discuss more about a couple of different options I'm looking for. Fantastic design.

    Dude, a flip out, drop down carrier for the powered cooler in the kitchen area that would float the cooler in the open space above the counter top would be epic and would completely free up the front storage box.

    Nice build but I have a couple issues. The intake and exhaust for the air conditioning is dumping out into the same small space which wouldn't be a issue as long as you keep the back hatch open all night while you're sleeping. Second issue is the electronics area behind the panel doesn't seem to be vented. Those electronics will put off a considerable amount of heat in a small space shortening the life span of them and adding unwanted heat into the living area. Overall though I like the build. I know it's hard to pack so much into such a small package

      I wanted to see on top, under the rack. That would be good for some small vents to vent that heat you mention. Its an easy solution, but good point. I would have them added for that very heat issue.
      You could also put a vent along that back panel door that reveals the galley to to vent that air at night. Again, an easy fix!

    I would just like to point out that a bear, even a small one, would absolutely destroy that stainless steel mesh.
    Do not keep food in this thing when you are sleeping.

    Very interesting. I have been following Hiker Trailers and the new Encore ROG for a while now. Trying to decide what I want and what I can modify, etc. Seems you have maybe taken the best of both. Look forward to the larger size on its way.
    I am very curious why this is set up backwards from most trailers - awning and frig opens on drivers side, utility plugs/water fill and spare tire on passenger side. Usually the opposite?

    • @valiantexpeditiontrailers9905
      @valiantexpeditiontrailers9905  Рік тому +4

      That fridge and the awning can be swapped to the other side if the customer wants, it's just a few bolts to have the drawer come out of the other side of the tongue box. Same for the awning. As far as where everything else is, we started setting them up the way we'd like to have it out on the trail, whereas a lot of other manufacturers are focused on what's easier for campground hookups. I'm pretty sure no matter where that stuff is, half the time you'll be going "oh yeah this is perfect" and the other half you'll be going "son of a b**ch this hose doesn't reach."

    Wow! Really impressed by this trailer! I cant wait to see the XL version! Love the storage! We're a family of 6 so bigger is always better for us! How much weight can the rear Hitch hold?

    • @valiantexpeditiontrailers9905
      @valiantexpeditiontrailers9905  Рік тому +3

      Thanks! The we've got some XL's on the books that customers have ordered so those will start showing up probably around April. That rear hitch has a 250# limit because if you hit a good drop on a trail 250# can turn to 500# pretty quickly. The XL has 2' of extra room in the main cabin, which allows space for a 2' bunk along the back wall that doesn't interfere with the main queen mattress. For a family of 6 though, someone would probably have to be in a roof top tent on the roof rack!

    If the a/c's intake/exhaust is in the galley, then the galley door would need to be open when a/c is in use. ?????

    I get not wanting to quote a price before options on a potential build out are agreed upon. But why not divulge the price this build sold for since it's already spec'd out, built and more or less sold? The quality, materials, attention to functional detail and execution look to be absolutely top notch. I would expect to pay a good bit since it appears to be made so well. Just kinda strange to not include what this one sold for. Those zero breeze ac's, I believe, run off of 24v dc or 110v ac. How is this one being powered voltage wise. I think they even have 12 to 24 volt converter that they offer. They are intriguing little ac's. Curious what route you took voltage wise. Fantastic build!!! Very impressive!!! Thankyou for sharing. If the price was mentioned during the segment, sorry, I may have missed that detail.

    • @valiantexpeditiontrailers9905
      @valiantexpeditiontrailers9905  Рік тому +4

      That one came out just under $40k but it was a little strange in that it was a mix and match of a few of our packages. I'm going to be posting a video to our channel shortly of the new Expedition package with the latest upgrades you should check out. That Zerobreeze is running off the trailer's inverter, 110v AC. We've changed up the way the exhaust is plumbed since this one, now it exhausts out the side wall so you don't need to keep the rear door open while the AC is running.

      @@valiantexpeditiontrailers9905 Thankyou for the reply. The work and build quality as seen and described in the segment are very impressive. I expected a price in that range because of craftsmanship and detailed design and functionality. You got a winner here. Great reveal and breakdown of the what and why.

      Price out the components, add in the proper wages for craftsmen, tradesmen, add a profit margin of 20-30%; you're there.
      That Dometic fridge and those Arctic Tern windows are $2k +.
