Jay Campbell, 26, cello, is an ardent champion of 20th and 21st century music. He has worked with figures including Pierre Boulez, Elliott Carter, Matthias Pintscher, John Adams and Kaija Saariaho, and he recently collaborated with John Zorn on the 2015 album Hen to Pan. Campbell has also appeared as a soloist with the New York Philharmonic and will perform in its Ligeti Foward series, which he helped organize.
