Neeb used to be genuine at his debuts when he talked about middle eastern brands like Oud Elite, IAQ, Taif El Emarat, etc. But now he is a real salesman to my humble opinion.
Your right. I have been burned by blind buying hyped fragrances. Learned my lesson. I only trust the nose of very few UA-camrs now. It’s a shame this is the reality of the situation, but it is good to know. We need to realize as a community that a lot of UA-camrs nowadays are producing nothing more than glorified commercials…..

Can't believe The bow tie fragrance guy didn't get a mention. Constantly telling people you have to smell this, you need this in your collection ect. Hardly ever has a bad word to say about any fragrance, always has the discount codes. I find it all very dishonest.
I have lost all respect for curlyscents Micaela. I listent to others just to compare opinions before i can actually smell and test. Performace is key as well. I have so many cheapies and dupes, my favorite mostly Alexandria fragrances Own like 20. Now i want niche amd original. Need 10 good ones. Started with royal tabbaco amouage. And now ordered venigio 21 from merchant of venice. Waiting to smell sample now of v canto mea culpa next. Grest video my friend , it explains alot thank you!!

Honest fragrance UA-camrs need to network more. Do collaborations. Mention other channels to follow. That is the only way you will get the word out. The UA-cam algorithm just is not going to recommend smaller channels. I'd love to find a channel that does something like "This week in fragrance" where good UA-cam fragheads are featured and promoted.

Honestly the way every reviewer bash on "designer" perfumes like it's so nasty thing to wear. I recently tried a lot of niche samples as well as recent interesting designer release, in my opinion those designers are way better and interesting than niche ones. For example PDM perseus is a clone of Eau Givree, and i would like to call it a clone because it is, if it came from a budget friendly brand like lattafa or armaf they were going to also making faces not right clone or like not to the point.

I think the general theme is that this hobby has went from a few people (-20 years ago) making youtube videos talking about and reviewing fragrances because they were really passionate about it, to a lot of people now making videos about all the new fragrances (many given to the "influencers" for free) and giving them rave reviews. The hobby has now become an inauthentic business and that's what pisses off a lot of people who have been in the hobby from the early days.
@FragranceGuru viewers should be accountable and take responsibility for their spending. Whether its a sponsored review or not everything as should be seen as promo because the source of the info is coming from an influencer
