- Quick thoughts on the system, recorded with my cell phone. Video is for information purpose. IMO this system gets 4 out of 5. The remote cell phone app viewing is were this system is seriously in need of a major update.
UPDATE! Since this video was posted they have definitely improved their app dramatically.
No issues with my night owl app on apple phone! Works real well...

No they haven't improved unless they have lost their touch I just bought the system and the app has a 2.6 star rating we might need to get the dvr
Can you turn the cameras or can they only point straight and up or down?
You can manually turn them up, down, left and right.
tHANKS FOR YOUR review - First, how do you like it the 1080p version? 2nd is there a monthly fee that you have to pay? 3rd - how hard is it to hook up and run your cords from my garage to my router which in my case the distance from my router to my outdoor camera would be about 50 ft.? What are your final thoughts and concerns on some of the pro's and con's -let me know? Last will it notify you when it picks up any motion on your Iphone?
I love the system! There is no fee for remote viewing or any I'm aware of, and the mobile app has improved dramatically since I posted this video. The software is o.k, not my favorite but not bad. I ran the wires through my attic and I didn't find it hard at all to hook up; just took a bit of planning. I think the wires are 75 feet each (could be 100 don't remember). I run a 50 foot Ethernet wire to my rougher since I have the system in a different room. I found the motion detection to be very sensitive (which I did't mind) and was getting constant notification for any little movement. I think it's a great system and would definitely buy again.
Are you required to have a static ip address with this system?
How do you turn these off?

You mean, it doesn't embed it on the video, like a digital camera that would have a "date stamp"?
I'll look for that, because I just bought a 4-camera model. WalMart is closing them out. Bargain time! ($179 for the wired 4-camera setup, 5MP, HD, July 2019)
Does the dvr record 24/7?

Yes you can. It comes with a DVR box which allows you to plug a USB to export the footage. Internet is only if you want remote viewing capabilitys.

Yes I do. Since the time of this video they have definitely improved their app dramatically. Definitely thinking about making the updated version about the application.
do we need wifi with this - is that a smart tv or a moniter you are using - i have a freind that wants one and wants to use it offline as a ciewing camera, i want to use mine with a smart tv - how do you plug in the camera
It's a regular Monitor and it plugs in with HDMI.
It all runs off your Wi-Fi right no wires?
NO it's all hard wired.

is there any "montion" monitor the will pop up or alert your phone/pc when something moves?
excuse me, you did mention is does have a motion option for recording or not. I was more focused on will it "alert" by test or etc. on when there is a motion in camera views?

Can you used a different camera with this system?
they sell different types of cameras for this system. The setup looks identical to some EZviz ones I have also.

@@UA-camrvideos125 I'd wait til Black Friday, That's when they all go on sale. I personally have NightOwl, Ezviz and Ring. I like them all TBH. The most useful one (the one I recommend everyone to start with) is the Ring Doorbell. It's $99 and 30 bucks a year for the subscription (Which you don't need to buy). They all work good.

What app do u use ?
I used the one they recommend for cellphones. I no longer use the app because I don't do remote surveillance with this system. It's still one of my main systems, I just have another setup for remote viewing.
@@GenXKid26 what do you recommend for remote View system because I can't get my app and my DVR to connect it keeps telling you failed I was looking into Arlo I think I Costco it's like 350 I want to say for 3 cameras
@@angelaranda6187 Sorry for the late response. I use a combination of Ezviz and Ring along side of my NightOwl.
