I'm glad I watched your video because I will be giving this kit a wide berth. The fit was terrible and the extent of putty use was unbelievable. Well done for keeping on going and you got a terrific result but I would have binned it when putting the wings together.
You can't use montex masks on ICM kits if they are for a revell kit. each mask set is designed for a specific brand and it will tell you that. All brands are different, one size does not fit all, unless the brand is a re-issue from another brand using the same molds. ICM are new tool and will require specific masks, as you saw, with the eduard set. Nice build btw. :)
Adventures in model building! It’s much more interesting when things don’t go the way you expect.Overcoming short falls and soldier on.(especially when it’s “my” favorite aircraft, the Ju-88) love it! JC : )
This is exactly what I wanted to achieve - to show the building process as a journey instead of a 'fast hands' video where a guy builds a 300-pieces kit in 20 minutes. Thanks for your warm words!
Revell of Germany has released both the 1/48 Dragon Ju 88A-4 kit and the ICM Ju 88A-4 kit over the last 10 years or so. (I have bought them both!) The Revell -sub-brand, Promodeller also released the Dragon Junkers 88-A4 (Which I also have!!) so the Montex masks would suit 2 of the 3 brands of kit. (Eduard always specifies WHICH Brand or brands their masks are designed for.)
