I've not gone grocery shopping in the week before Christmas for about 15 years. My patience levels wear out quickly, watching people putting 10 x 4 pints of milk and 20 loaves in a trolly. I mean, the shop shutting for a day, they may run out. I'm all for a simpler Christmas lunch. Something I remember growing up was mum spending near all day on Christmas day in the kitchen either prepping, cooking or cleaning up just in time to start it all again for the next meal. The reason some things aren't suitable for freezing is that the food company has already frozen and defrosted it at least once. Prepacked cooked meat is a prime example.

Me and phil was going out for Christmas dinner but my giddy aunt £89 each not including drinks. Doing it at home now and doing and cost us less than £100 for the both of us and the family visiting this weekend. Finished the shopping at 7am this morning and if we havent got it tough. A great shopping hawl thanks for sharing 😊😊
Hi there Dan & Mazzy,hope your both well 😊 loved your food haul,god I'm dreading doing the Christmas Foodshop think we're planning on doing it on Sunday but I'm so fuzzy as I only will have my joint of beef from Sainsburys rest of my family have turkey so they don't care were they go,think we're going to tescos & aldi. Just thankful present side of it is done,but its going to be a quiet Christmas because 2 of our son's have lefted home 😢still have one with us but he keeps himself to himself as he has severe autism & severe learning difficulties so likes his own space,but our other 2 son's will be having Christmas dinner with us so looking forward to that. But just hoping a few presents actually turn up before xmas eve 😅 anyway hope you both have a fantastic Christmas 🎄 from the Hewitt Household xx

On the sixth day of Christmas I’m on the phone for wine bauble on the doggies head Oh doesn’t she look Devine... On the seventh day of Christmas they gave the storm a name let’s play a game of hide the shed in the ditch? oh what a shame On the eighth day of Christmas Dan and Mazzy start a vlog Building a new shed we bought Whilst drinking more egg nog On the ninth day of Christmas the lights look like they’ve fused a funny smell of burning now the dog REALLY looks bemused. On the tenth day of Christmas I’ve now got flour on my nose mince pies and lemon curd tarts Snapchat photo lets all pose.
