Cooking Cedar wood Salmon on the Aldi Kamado Oven

  • Got your new Aldi Kamado and no idea what to do next? This is a relatively quick recipe which tastes amazing. It cooks in 30 mins with about 3 hours prep.
    Ingredients:
    Half a side of Salmon
    125ml of boiling water
    50g of salt
    1 tbsp of pepper
    1/2 tbsp of garlic granules
    600ml cold water
    1 cup of ice
    1 lemon
    dill
    Cook at 150 - 180 Degrees centigrade on the Kamado
    Cook until the salmon internal temperature is 63 degrees centigrade.

    thanks for posting the video - your unboxing of the Aldi Kamado and this demo super helpful - plus the temp gauge kit from amazon basics. Would you recommend the Kamado from ALDI? Worried about several 'cracking' stories... has yours been OK?

      Funny enough mine cracked too. Because the spares supplier couldn't get me a replacement until the end of the summer, I ended up sending it back and getting a slightly smaller one from Morrisons. I do regret sending it back actually. It was the fire box that cracked. I would have got a replacement in the end and actually they're quite easy to repair.
