I like the power these ancient gods, goddesses, and their stories have to activate the imagination and see magic in the environment all around us. I dont see much practicality in using any of these stories to create histories that justify and excuse the embodiment of victimhood in our species, though. We are too powerful to allow a group of possibly fictitious beings from thousands of years ago to justify our continuing weaknesses.
