I think it has more to do with the cultural significance of Melle Mel in hiphop. Compared to Drake and J. Cole, some could argue Melle Mel to be a "bigger artist" in terms of significance.
I can’t believe I missed it but the beat is from a song called Everlasting bass….its an old classic. I’m NOT up on Kendrick Lamar so for the Kendrick fans please understand that my intro to him is a slow walk. Just like J.Cole and some others that many of you came up on. This song is 10skates by the way. When I review a song it’s a virgin listen so I WILL miss stuff but that’s the price you pay for an authentic reaction. Thank you ALL who support the channel. Bless you and Godspeed!!!
The sample is from 1980s rappers from California in the Bay Area called Rodney O and Joe Cooley the song is called “Everlasting Bass” and the other sample is from Eazy E song called “Eazy Duz It”. The J.Cole diss is from him saying he got a stick but not Andre 3K J.Cole has a song called “Stick” and J.Cole on the song “First Person Shooter” said Kendrick, Drake and J.Cole are the Big 3. Kendrick basically saying F the Big 3 to Cole because he doesn’t like Drake they have a beef for like 12yrs now. It stemmed from when Drake and Kendrick were cool but Drake decided to take Kendrick off a that turned out to be a hit when he originally said he was going to be on the song and he had a verse on the song but he took Kendrick verse off completely and lied to Kendrick saying he didn’t remember saying he was putting him on the song. So ever since then Kendrick has had a distain towards Drake. Because he doesn’t stand on his word he’s a snake in the industry. Now J.Cole recently been collaborating with Drake a person Kendrick doesn’t like because he’s a backstabber. So that’s why Kendrick said he feels paranoid because now my friend(Cole) is clicking up with the opposition trying to be a team. Kendrick Lamar grew in the hood he’s from Compton completely gang infested and Kendrick is a part of the Pirus a gang in Compton. He’s from the ERA where OGs seen a talent kid and kept them out the streets and purposely instructed for that kid to be protected and not to be involved in gang activity only stuff towards his talent. Kendrick use to go from hood to hood battle rapping every hood’s best rappers for money. He never lost a rap battle but since it was getting too dangerous his gang introduced and encouraged him to go to the booth. Because people were getting tired of him winning and probably wanted to shoot him. Because they’re losing money every single time they challenged him but Kendrick didn’t care he said he just loved that environment. Kendrick hated the booth he said the street battle rap was where he was in his element. We all know he can rap in the booth but he was comfortable in that street battle rapping environment it brought that lyrical beast out. So J Cole has been saying a lot recently that he’s the greatest rapper and he feels like it’s no competition out here. He said nobody rapping for real out here everybody trash. So Kendrick is challenging him to that rap championship belt he acts like has. Because like I said J Cole has been saying in songs he’s the greatest rapper of this generation.

dot and drake been beefing since 2013 when kendrick dropped “control” where he dissed EVERYBODY in the rap game. ever since then they’ve been throwing subliminals at eachother but the biggest jab from kendrick to drake was control and the tde bet cypher (react to that btw). cole gets in the mix because cole has been hanging with drake alot lately and kendrick, i assume, isn’t a fan with all the clickin up stuff from them two. kendrick sees cole as his contemporary so it’s more competition to cole but with drake it’s been personal since DAY 1. after control, drake got in his feelings in interviews when asked about the record and neither cole nor drake been wanting smoke w dot ever since. lately drake and cole been playing with that “big 3” topic for a little while now and their fans are throwing kendrick away cause of his consistency but everybody fails to realize that KENDRICK IS THE GOAT AND IS NOT FOR PLAY PLAY! big ups to yall 💪🏼
i love how the son thought he was gonna catch all of the bars then the dad js catches almost everyone one and the sons just sitting there while he breaks it down to a adom😂😂 great video
There isn't competitiveness because today's Rap fan has been siphoned off into niche crowds where it doesn’t call for it. Drake, Kendrick, Cole, and their entire class were the last of that underlying competitive nature in Hip-Hop where they wanted to prove how good they can rap, how much better they are than___, etc. Kendrick usually focuses more on the art of music-making but do not get it confused, he is still K Dot from Compton.

This song is 10skates by the way. When I review a song it’s a virgin listen so I WILL miss stuff but that’s the price you pay for an authentic reaction. Thank you ALL who support the channel. Bless you and Godspeed!!!
👍🏾👍🏾
react to more kendrick y’all sleeping
It's Also an interpolation of Barry White's - I'm gonna love just a little more (1973)
I use to think pops had no rhythm but I realized he’s just imagining how he’s gonna skate to every song.
The first person shooter line went right over Josh head the first time😂😂😂
Fr 😂😂😂😂
Rodney O & J Cooley are from Southern California. Los Angeles. Riverside and Compton to be exact.
If we talking rapping, kdot and cole is great match up
Eminem still better then both them lol
@@justuschester4602lol Ahahahha this is funny asf he aint on any of there levels
@@justuschester4602 even if he is, not as many care about Eminem like that anymore so move along, Eminem had his moments, even to be murdered album was barely mentioned that year, lmao he might as well not drop. The best song was with Juice and we know what was driving the attention to that
@@justuschester4602no
eminem is up there but we talking kendrick Nd cole rn😂
Anyone who says "Kendrick is conscious" and "not the type to beef" hasn't listened to Kendrick long AT ALL.
Love how Kendrick’s spotify bio towards the bottom says how he and drake went at it and named every diss track, making sure everybody know who th Kendrick is lol
Dad kills me with the Prince and Mike Jack bar 😂
bruh had to pause and see if "first person shooter" was talking about drake/jcole...boy
That sample catch was so epic omg. Bro.
“Niggas CLICKing up but can not B-Legit no 40 water”🔥🔥🔥 The original song rhat future and Kendrick are rapping on is call everlasting bass by Rodney O and j Cooley.. it was used by E40 in another song …E40 is part of a group called The ClICK along with fellow rapper B -legit.
Congratulations 200k👏🏽👏🏽
I keep going back to all your kendrick beef reactions
If you not well versed in they history or don’t be fully paying attention to they verses you won’t notice but cole and kenny been throwing shots at each other for the better part of like 10 years especially cole recently probably why we never got that kendrick x cole collaboration
No. Kendrick and Drake has been rhrowing shots for a decade. The Kendrick and Cole beef is only a few years old.
Yeah i though it was recent too but i saw something that came out after kenny dropped Like That nah they been at it for a good minute especially after Kenny started winning rewards over cole they but been aiming bullets at a hidden target before cole even dropped forest hill drive
Watching this back after everything we know is hilarious omfg. 🤣🤣🤣
Omg I love your dad’s energy 😩🤣 I understand both of you
It's not only Kendrick's voice but also ear is a reason why He always makes beat better, always in perfect EQ place.
11:30 the moment pops got invested 😂😂😂
"thats a lawnmower" meanwhile its snowing where im at 😂😭
dot and drake been beefing since 2013 when kendrick dropped “control” where he dissed EVERYBODY in the rap game. ever since then they’ve been throwing subliminals at eachother but the biggest jab from kendrick to drake was control and the tde bet cypher (react to that btw). cole gets in the mix because cole has been hanging with drake alot lately and kendrick, i assume, isn’t a fan with all the clickin up stuff from them two. kendrick sees cole as his contemporary so it’s more competition to cole but with drake it’s been personal since DAY 1. after control, drake got in his feelings in interviews when asked about the record and neither cole nor drake been wanting smoke w dot ever since. lately drake and cole been playing with that “big 3” topic for a little while now and their fans are throwing kendrick away cause of his consistency but everybody fails to realize that KENDRICK IS THE GOAT AND IS NOT FOR PLAY PLAY! big ups to yall 💪🏼
Original beat is from Rodney O and Joe Cooley- everlasting bass
Yes he is concious. But he did say he chose himself. And now he chose violence. I love it 🔥🔥
i love how the son thought he was gonna catch all of the bars then the dad js catches almost everyone one and the sons just sitting there while he breaks it down to a adom😂😂 great video
Thank you for catching the eazy e easy duz it sample
^^^ the Michelle was sangin
Hey, josh, your dad's right about the history of rap.I'm fifty two years old, and I remember all that stuff.
Yall should also review some of the music your dad listened to growing up. Would be a cool flip
The Dad is on point!! They are perfect together !! Great OG and Youngblood collaboration lol !!
