The ads, the prize, the fact that I sooooo badly wanted my school to be chosen for this show when I was a kid, mate it made my day. I miss being a kid, adulting is hard and it sux
I was in year 8 in 1994. I remember watching this when I got home from school. If memory serves, it was on at about 4pm or 4:30pm. I then watched Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune, Seven Nightly News, and Sale of the Century before going to bed. This channel brings back so many memories of my teenage years back in the 1990s.
OMG!!! I was on this show & Our Lady of Fatima was my school!!! 😂 It was a lot of fun - unfortunately our competitors not so much - but James was super lovely! He kept us laughing & he kept the show going because we legit had no idea what to do! 😆🤣
I was so happy watching this, then I paused to think and now I’m sad. I know everyone says you remember your childhood fondly, but it was genuinely a better world back then, when I didn’t have to worry about the world being on fire. I’m content to carry the burden of growing up but knowing there’s nothing I can do to make the world better for people is painful. Anyway hehe bubsy bobcat
I watched this in my country when I was a kid but didn't remember the show name. Until today someone posted this show screenshot in my former office whatsapp group asking what was the name of this show. And then somebody researched and came up with the answer. And that is how I ended up in this youtube video. Cheers to you all fellow 90s kids. 🙌🏻🙌🏼🙌🏽🙌🏾🙌🏿
I'm 33 years old this year. Suddenly, I remember this show which I saw as a kid years ago. Not too much. I just remember the maze. Greeting from Indonesia.
Thanks Steve, Great to see one of these Earlier episodes. This is the original 90 second key run challenge. If I remember correctly, they changed it to 120 seconds in 1995 onwards. One team found all 7 keys in one of the 90 second runs. Love to see that again. Thanks again. Please keep them coming. Best game show ever.
Not quite. Five keys were found in the 90 second run. After it was extended to 120 seconds, James said in his commentary once that they hoped/figured that the extra 30 seconds would allow the other two keys to be found. The one time that all seven keys were found, it was in a 120 second run. It was on a Thursday of the first week of a series. James came back from hiatus sporting a very small goatee. He was asked if he'd honour the two-series-ago promise of getting his head shaved, but compromised to getting the beard shaved off.
Well competition is frowned upon these days and the insurance would be more expensive than the show. Australian tv don’t like to spend money these days.
Oh dude.... Me and the Mrs were just racking our brains trying to figure out the name of the host, and this show. We used to watch it after school. What a blast down memory lane! So damn good!!!!
Well, when I watched "Amazing," when I was young, I didn't want to be on the show, but I did like watching it, seeing as I wasn't normally a active girl.
Oh my fucking god. 14:02. I could never remember the name of these chocolate bars but I always had this vague memory of them and the faces! Glo-Bar! I figured it out after all these years. xD I've done a quick Google search. You can't find a trace of these things!
So like this the game is running.. im watchin this tv show when i was 5 y.o. n really excited to watch that tv behind the contestant, also it make me curious that they play cartoon on tv, and that time i dont know what is that. (#console, game). In my country 90s, my town, that thing "console" still pretty rare to own one.
Always knew that the "When old enough, I'm really looking forward to..." part of the player profile wouldn't last long, since almost everyone said "Driving a car".
I'm sure he was just trying to joke around but taking a kids name and using it like he did at 15:35 is just what a bully would do, so he just (unintentionally, I'm sure) gave potential bullies some ammunition. If they hadn't thought about it before, they wouldn't have forgotten to tel her to "Jemma sock in it" after that. When he starts talking, she smiles but afterwards, her smile fades instantly, as if she too realizes what he's done.
😂 James do you have to be so bloody funny Rebecca-would like to be dieter bummer girlfriend James- does that mean you want to be angel in home and away Rebecca-no James- you want to be his girlfriend in real life Rebecca-yes James-ah right I’ll give you his phone number later on and we can see what we can work out 😅
I'm 35 and remember watching this as a kid, nostalgia right here🤟
I used to pretend with my siblings that we were on a*mazing at home
@@lanacox4125 Im 41 and I still do 🙁
You're not the only one
Me too
I spoke to James Sherry once when I worked at Foxtel!

Some schools chosen twice for this show, like Vienna Woods State School 😀
We adored this show growing up! Every kid wanted to be a contestant and have a crack at the maze! Great times.
I always wished I could win a GameBoy
Well the equivalent of this for me would of been double dare, guys, or legends of the hidden temple
He'll yeah I loved this in the afternoon and then I binged abc till the simpsons came on lol

I cant believe I watched the whole thing and missed the ads the most. What a nostalgia hit 😊

James Sherry was a good host but you could tell sometimes he had filmed 10 shows in 1 day and was sick to death of kids 😂
Yeah you can tell this one was done at the end of a string of recordings. He’s just not as upbeat as normal here.
Loved this show as a kid! Also enjoy seeing the ads and what was in fashion 25 years ago lol
One of my favourite afternoon kids show from the 90’s 😁😁😁
These kids are now around 36 years old and James Sherry is 51!
James was 26 years old here.
& bald

James Sherry had a bet that he is putting up his hair that says there's at least 1 key (intact) in the maze

I loved this show as a child. I wanted to be on this show. Ahh back when kids were allowed to be kids.
I remember being this age and watching this ,god my childhood has gone
Who the hell doesn't know tetris
My partner just informed me he was on this show!!! Blast from the past
Chris talked a big _Tetris_ game and got rekt!
electricmaster23 legend says he still hangs out at channel 7 telling people how good he is at Tetris
@@johnwilliams2183 HAHA!
Did well to contain his rage and utter self disgust!
Haha nice one Chris
He could talk the talk but not walk the walk
Bring it back as a 7.30pm primetime show
It's about 1000 times better than the garbage that makes up prime time these days.
Well competition is frowned upon these days and the insurance would be more expensive than the show. Australian tv don’t like to spend money these days.
I wonder what it would be like hosting a show like this for the kids,
And without any limits what's so ever
The ads were so quick. Now ads run forever.
Jesus this was worth watching just purely on the ads alone.
That's the thing I like about tv,
The fantasy when you wanna leave your problems on the shelf
James chooses to stay at the River Plaza hotel 😂
Oh dude....
Me and the Mrs were just racking our brains trying to figure out the name of the host, and this show.

What a blast down memory lane!
So damn good!!!!
Me and my mate used to guess where the secret key would be hidden at the end. Good times
I’m tripping out a bit. I 100% remember this actual episode. (How is this possible)
mate...my child hood right here
AAHH MY DAD WAS IN ITTT
I'm 34 it's amazing

Damn that sucks. Sorry to hear 😥
Oh I mean I'm sorry for your loss.
Your mom is rebecca from this episode?
Sorry for your loss x rip Rebecca
Bring it back!
I always when I was young wanted to go on this show to find the letters lol
I always dreamed of being on this show now I have nightmares about it.
I think I watched this episode because I remember thinking 'the kid has tetris and can't play it for sh-t!" :)
Did Ben ever became a mega millionaire?
Well, when I watched "Amazing," when I was young, I didn't want to be on the show, but I did like watching it, seeing as I wasn't normally a active girl.
Dude was so devastated he only found one letter 😂
Nostalgia 😊
Shane and Angel. Wow that takes me back. So long ago haha 🙁
The cactus, there was always a key behind the cactus
Scott McRae was Australia's best kids game show host. Vidiot was awesome. I used to watch this show as well. While not as good, it passed the time.
Mcdonalds ad was awesome. Wish they still marketed to kids.
I want to go baccckkk 🥺
Is that you on the show??
The keyboard always drove me nuts. When you would see a kid pressing the damn button and it didn't register and they missed out
Acara jadul jaman dlu
I see the ending of Duck Tales :D
Lol Birkdale SS ...
Was the best primary school EVER
Please upload more Glenn Ridge's era of Sale of the Century.

2:32 with closed captions on is pure cold
is there anyway I can get an episode from 1995? any ideas who I could get in contact with?
These kids are in their 40’s now
What’s with tetris’ scoring system?? Going from 90 points to 300 just from clearing a couple of lines with an I piece
everyone liked stamp collecting
So, was this basically an Aussie version of Fun House?
the macdonalds intro from my era
My brother was on this show when he was in primary school. Any chance you would have the footage when St Bernardines participated?
Hi Rachelle, I do not think I have any episodes with St Bernardines sorry!
I watched Yugumbir vs St Bernardine's in TVRI🇮🇩 (1996)

what else was there to do in the 90's though unless you wanted a specific career car driving was probably the first on most peoples minds.
