Really impressed to see this type of content. I’ve progressed past having the “it” fashion bag and have a real appreciation for quality, design and functionality. I’ve become obsessed with Longchamp and my go to daily bag is the quilted affair by Rebecca Minkoff. I have it in 15 colors and with Florida monsoon rains for months on end…I don’t sweat getting that bag wet. Value is in the eye of the beholder. This video struck a chord, and I’m interested in these brands. Thanks for stretching the bar a little higher.

Sezane!! I have been shopping their site since 2020 but haven’t really liked the more recent collections (the ones I do like are very similar to pieces I already purchased ). I do love the Milo bag and was deciding between that and the apc grace one ! Hope you find some great pieces for your wardrobe !!❤
I have a Songmont chocolate bag. I couldn't be happier. I wear it almost everyday and it always looks great. Materials are of superior quality and it has many nice charming details like the butterfly silk lining in some of the pockets. Everyday I like it more.
Btw, I was looking into the Songmont and thought the bag was beautiful. However, what bug me is the gold clasp. The gold clasp seems like it is made where the back is hollow and it leaves an indentation in the leather when open. I wish they would ensure the claps is closed all around. Other than that, the bag looks really good. Thanks for sharing this video. I am always excited to see what you find next.

I don’t own any (so called) luxury bag but I do own and collect many high quality, beautifully designed handbags, mainly from Spanish, Italian and French brands (and some American as well). I always look for quality, craftsmanship and understated design. By the way, I love the recommendations, three of them are new to me, only Sezane was known to me. I just purchased the Luna bag in Jade color, gorgeously understated. Thank you so much for your videos!
You know what, it so nice to see those new brands from your channel, with a fraction of the price and not shouting designers. I still love my LV, Channel and other contemporary brands, don't get me wrong but as handbags lovers, regardless of brands, we love handbags 😍. I got the Uniqlo easy breezy bum bags too that you featured in your video. Got 2 in fact, one vanilla and one black. So light and i really love it and i already had one slidely smaller cross body type from Uniqlo too but without the form inside. Use it a lot for at least 2 years and still going strong. I think those with form ones can't be wash, as stated in the instruction but we can still wipe it with those wet wipe. Easy pissy. Thanks for sharing more 🤩🥰 and i really am eyeing the Cuyana with Mini Lindy's vibe, Songmont with Picotin's vibe and Sezane, which have Celine vibe but just have to choose 1 perhaps 🤭🤔
Songmont bags are so elegant. I really love how their hardware gives classic designs a fresh look. The Song bag makes me think of what would happen if the Picotin and the Lindy had a baby that lucked out and got both parents' most appealing features.
hi I love your analysis of handbag brands and I love your channel. However, I must say about Cuyana, I've had several of their pieces over the years and they just don't hold up. Mainly invested in small leather goods, and one of them a cosmetic case set the leather fell apart on 2 of the pieces just after 2 years. Given the high price I paid for this item I would have though it would be better quality. Thank you for this channel I've always been into handbags but never thought about some of the points you bring up about the different bags. I've already purchased a parisa wang and I love it.

Thanks for sharing this. I am definitely into no hype, no drama, and no crazy high price tags brands especially handbags these days. If mid brands can match glazing color with the leather color then there is no reason why designer bags cannot do the same with that kind of price tag. Also, less marketing is more appealing for me these days because company pays a lot of money and gives free bags to celebrities to market their handbags while making us pay for that. No thank you. I have been looking into new designers looking for quality materials, good design and it is a real reassurance to see that you have picked up on some of the brands I have noted. Loved also Amelie Picard and Lancel. Beautiful brands and with a more sustainable business model. It seems like a lot of us are moving away from luxury and more into premium quality.
Songmont is a chinese brand. I knew this brand because a lot of chinese celebrities and bloggers wear this brand (if they’re not carrying LV Hermes etc.) same with oleada and amazing song
I have various clothing and leather items from Cuyana from over several years. Their product quality is excellent. I only have Sezane clothes, but overall good experience with them.

I'd add another store to the list called Gotswach! It's a small business in Cali that makes handbags from swatches of fabric that would've been destined for the trash. I have two of their bags, so cute and so nice supporting the smaller businesses

I find the contemporary luxury space so interesting! So much creativity. These days I think they're better than iykyk bags because they're "i know and you want to know" bags. That said I'm sad I stalled so long to get the Songmont Mini Song as it's already removed from the site and will probably never be restocked. I just didn't need any more mini bags so I never bought it. Other brands I'm eyeing: Marsell (shoes look great too), Yuzefi (cheaper Loewe for the sculptural element or Polene rival), Opelle (reliving my Alexander Wang Rocco dreams without the heavy studs), alexbender on etsy (leather looks so soft, thinking of doing a custom order)

I love everything Sezane! I have several of their clothing pieces but always been eyeing their bags and shoes, so classic and well made plus they always include goodies when placing an order! From cuyana I have their AirPods case and it’s so beautiful and well made, it is holding on nicely, definitely looking into buying more from them!
I’ve been to the Cuyana store in Soho a couple times when visiting NYC. I have their classic structured tote for work and love it for work and travel. It looks chic and expensive and is def quality. I also have a cosmetic bag and gifted a monogrammed cosmetic bag to a friend for her bday. Haven’t tried their clothes but their bags and accessories are lovely.
The Songmont Drippy bag looks lovely. I have my eye on a Jerome Dreyfus suede tote which is of a similar vein and I’ve spotted the Sezane suede one too! Jenn Lee is a new one to me. I will explore, thank you. My go-to brand for raffia bags and hats is Helen Kaminski, Australian brand but can be found in the US too. Lovely quality and a fair price for seasonal pieces. Luxury Houses are nice to buy from but I don’t want to spend those big bucks each time and I enjoy exploring other brands. Thanks for sharing.

I loved Sezane until they went to Mexico and exploited a Zopotec community! They offered a Zopotec elderly woman in her 70s to be part of their campaign and made her dance while mocking her! They never paid her the measly 200 pesos which amounts to 10 dollars. Even the owner is seen laughing at her. The National Institute Of Indigenous People Condemns This Act! This was big in Mexico! As a woman of Mexican descent i condemn racist behavior! I will never shop at Sezane again!
Songmont; I hope they pay the local artisans well, worthy of their skills and time. (Companies tend to under-pay workers, many times the reason why they open shops/factories in SEA countries)
I'm pretty much "anti-brand" because of all that goes along with it, from the absolutely ridiculous prices (I see you, Hermes), to the over-the-top gushing from buyers, and everything in between. There are MANY pieces on Etsy and other sites made by hard-working creators who can create full-on leather bags (like the ones mentioned in this video) that are gorgeous, and are even spot-on in replicating certain high-end brands, while doing so for MUCH less (even custom bags, plus shipping costs!). THOSE are the bags we should be buying, and we should treasure, instead of perpetuating those high end brands that aren't really worth the hype (I'm talking to you, LV).

From cuyana I have their AirPods case and it’s so beautiful and well made, it is holding on nicely, definitely looking into buying more from them!
I’ve been to the Cuyana store in Soho a couple times when visiting NYC. I have their classic structured tote for work and love it for work and travel. It looks chic and expensive and is def quality. I also have a cosmetic bag and gifted a monogrammed cosmetic bag to a friend for her bday. Haven’t tried their clothes but their bags and accessories are lovely.
Sezane's stuff has always caught my eye for a couple of years now... great selection of brands 💯
The Songmont Drippy bag looks lovely. I have my eye on a Jerome Dreyfus suede tote which is of a similar vein and I’ve spotted the Sezane suede one too! Jenn Lee is a new one to me. I will explore, thank you. My go-to brand for raffia bags and hats is Helen Kaminski, Australian brand but can be found in the US too. Lovely quality and a fair price for seasonal pieces. Luxury Houses are nice to buy from but I don’t want to spend those big bucks each time and I enjoy exploring other brands. Thanks for sharing.

I loved Sezane until they went to Mexico and exploited a Zopotec community! They offered a Zopotec elderly woman in her 70s to be part of their campaign and made her dance while mocking her! They never paid her the measly 200 pesos which amounts to 10 dollars. Even the owner is seen laughing at her. The National Institute Of Indigenous People Condemns This Act! This was big in Mexico! As a woman of Mexican descent i condemn racist behavior! I will never shop at Sezane again!

I'm pretty much "anti-brand" because of all that goes along with it, from the absolutely ridiculous prices (I see you, Hermes), to the over-the-top gushing from buyers, and everything in between. There are MANY pieces on Etsy and other sites made by hard-working creators who can create full-on leather bags (like the ones mentioned in this video) that are gorgeous, and are even spot-on in replicating certain high-end brands, while doing so for MUCH less (even custom bags, plus shipping costs!). THOSE are the bags we should be buying, and we should treasure, instead of perpetuating those high end brands that aren't really worth the hype (I'm talking to you, LV).

I believe you'll really like their bags - good quality and very light weight leather bags which I think you will appreciate. I believe they also offer a program to buy/sell used cuyana bags which also shows how committed they are to sustainability. I like that they are actually taking action vs only talking about how they aim to be sustainable.
