I thought about the strength that comes when I look into the eyes of Jesus on the Cross as He gave his life for me. His purpose was to bring glory to the Father and He accomplished it by his sacrifice. We can find strength to continue fighting for the purposes we have in this life by doing the same but the difference is that most of the things in this life are temporary. But love, especially for God, our family and for others is eternal and we can find strength in every circumstance when our purpose is to bring glory to God and draw strength from looking to Jesus. Thank you for your message that inspired my comment. As a pastor I see the need for everyone to find a purpose that has eternal ramifications.
