I’ve been playing basketball since I was 4 years old. I’m 17. Maybe just played my last game ever two weeks ago when I fractured my c6 & c7 vertebrae. On top of that I’ve lost my cousin, someone has stolen my truck, and I am realizing all my friends are turning on me. I will come back. Gods setting up something beautiful and I can not wait.

Kendall Burgess about 3 yrs ago my mom got really really really sick She got so sick she couldn’t work for awhile. My mom is a single mom so she is the breadwinner for our household. I have a twin brother and we were devastated to see her like that plus she had always been super strong so to see our rock crumble in front of us took us on a deep spiral. I have this experience recently. I had always been praying to God for more than a year to help me admitted into a good business school. I always prayed prayed and prayed intensively. I did fasting also. I studied so much and did the admission tests, but i failed for a couple times repeatedly. I wanted to give up and claimed that i am a failure. But God's words saved me. So I tried even though i thought that it would be harder than i thought before. I applied for 2 different univs, one MBA and one MA in economics as a safety choice . So i did the entrance tests and i thought that well maybe my chance is a lil bit bigger than i thought. I actually admitted to my safety university. But the announcement day came and i haven't received my letter. The school only sends letter for the successful applicants. I asked one alumni she said that she received her mail at the same date as the announcement date. So i was really disappointed because i've been working so hard and praying also. My parents also prayed for my dream. I was so sad and cried for hours. I knew that i have to be grateful because at least i still have my safety choice. But i thought that i've been praying for MBA not MA, and it just didn't feel right at that time. After crying, i prayed. I prayed and suddenly i remembered for all of the prayers that i always said. The prayers always closed with "I put everything into YOUR holly hands God, let YOU be the one who take control". I cried and feeling really sorry for couldn't accept the truth. I was really sorry because no matter what, i should always be grateful and accept every answers God's gave and also keep doing my best. Even though i was really sad, I have to keep my promise to God. I even thought that well maybe i'm not meant to study in business school. Couple of days later I passed my mail box and saw a white envelope. I was shaking at that moment and really couldn't believe what i saw. I took the envelope with a shaking hands and opened it. The first word i read was "congratulations" and i cried. I fell to my knees and prayed to God. Be thankful for the results but mostly because He never let me down, be thankful that God helped me accepting the "no", and not doubting Him. I was really amazed by what God did to me, the time i was sure that I didn't get what i always pray and work for, made me accepted for every decisions HE made, and actually replied my prayer as a "yes". Moreover, i got scholarship from that business school. Not only answered my prayer but He also gave me more than what i thought. I am really thankful not only because i got what i always prayed and worked for but to always keep my faith on God. I know that you who reading this is on the hard time. I pray for you, I pray God give you all the strength to bear everything that happened into your life, for every "no" in your life. I pray that you will remain faithful on God's words even it's painful. Because God's plan and timing is always perfect.
Amen, I'm facing a similar situation! I've been praying and waiting for over four years for this specific career (job). To, add I've had numerous interviews that all ended with no; we've decided to go with another applicant. Over these four years I had a time accepted the fact that may be it's not for me, but for some reason. Something keeps pulling on my heart to keep applying. Reading your comment made me realize maybe God is going to do it but he's doing it his way! God's promises for us bigger than we can imagine! We think, well Lord I want this so bad I just take whatever you give me, but he sometimes thinks I don't want you rent this I want you too own it. Basically, I'm just saying when God gives it to you, it's way beyond what we could've dreamed. I'm so thank to know my father (God) sees and know what's best for me even when I don't! "The only thing you wanted was the NFL? You limited God to that?" That line has been so true for me lately. I always had my eyes set on what I thought was ahead and what I wanted. But after losing everything, I can now see that God is doing better things for other people in my pain.
Watching this 4 years later and i was tearing up pretty badly. My situation wasn't quite to this severity but I was going into sophomore year highschool and wrestling was my thing. Wrestled for 13 years been alive 16. I was one match away from placing in state in 9th grade and tenth grade year was my year to place, coach expected me top 5 in state. Little did I realize my season would be stripped away in practice when I tore my acl in half. I laid there and cried for 10 minutes and then prayed. My entire recovery process I prayed. I had surgery less than a month later and now 6 months later I'm cleared. This was the best worst experience of my life(so far) because it stripped my ego off of me and drove me to christ. I'm now healthy and ready for sophomore season and I'm dedicated to treating every match as it's my last. If you stuck around and read this I greatly appreciate you, praise the lord!

I lost my father at the age of 17. Kept watching this video every single day. Crying every time. So touching, because it helped me understand the value of life. The value of being able to wake up. My wife and I have been trying for a baby for three years. Last February we got the good news that we would be parents. 21 weeks into the pregnancy we lost the baby when we thought we were out the woods. Crazy how life works huh? I have a similar story to Johnson, only that I had a concussion in high School that paralyzed me and stopped me on my dreams of playing at least at a collegiate level. That was about 2-3 years ago. Now, I’m in college, chasing another dream of becoming a nurse. God bless us all and may God tell us which direction our lives truly will be the “correct” path.

When I was little my mom was addicted to bad drugs, I used to always walk to our soccer field and practice for hours and hours, and she came to pick me up and once we got home she fell to the ground and had a seizure, but when she fell she hit her head and I called 911 and they picked up the phone and they tried to keep me calm but I was yelling and screaming for someone to help and my mother passed away , but I made a promise to her that I will buy her a house someday and now I’ll buy us a house someday.
Make no promises with the dead. Lest u bind yourself to the grave. Live your best and happy obedient God fearing life n go unto eternal salvation. U are the best gift she ever had and God allowed her to create His prize thru her womb n that prize is you. She is resting n will face her own personal judgement day. Pray for her soul and eternal destiny that if by mercy God may remember her name in the book of life. Pray for her proper resurrection n that she will submit to Christ's rulership n reign n pass the great tests that lay ahead for her. There is Life after death you must believe. AMEN... N surely God go give you that lovely blessed n fine house n a new matrimonial family and offspring of your own. Let that be a reward n covenant promise between the Great I AM and Yourself. I just did a work out. Testosterone pumping. I'm sitting here crying. When God says no, I have learned to follow blindly because even though it's not my plan, it's his. Amen and Amen, like me, run over by a tractor 48 yrs ago at the age of 4..T7 para, my Christian faith never left me, spent my life just shorter in a wheelchair. it did not define my life, I manage a ranch, run equipment, grow hay, run tractors, skid steer, lumber equipment, go 4wheeling, camping, hunting, etc.. wife, kids, business owner, I will not allow the world to define me, only how my Lord defines me... I have been greatly blessed and I give all the glory to my Lord an savior!! man I'm a new fan of the Ink Man, Mighty Man of God!

I needed this right now . Was only one board exam and once clinical exam from becoming an MD. N all my hard work n dreams completely shattered when I could not even finish my clinical exam . Anxiety took control over my whole body n mind n went completely blank . It’s difficult to think my life is being redirected to another career after all the effort n money I spent in med school , but I will continue to have faith that he knows what is best for me .
My brothers just got saved and played football in there early years. I’ve been searching for a message to ministry to there young christian journey. This is something they can relate to. Ink has a sad story but he saved so many lives that were falling apart by sharing his story. I listen to his story everyday to lift me b4 i get my day started. *Since my traumatic brain injury, I thought my life was over and for the rest of my life I will be nothing but a burden on my parents & thought about ending my life to release myself and my parents off of all the misery but then I realized god always has a plan. They give it a thumbs down because it’s truly heartbreaking that you can give something your all that’s you deep in your soul or hearts desire and have it taken away that quick just because you didn’t spend everyday praising someone or something that may or may not exist
I swear this puts me in such a place because people take everything for granted as if it will always be there or if they will always be there! This life isn’t guaranteed to last forever, but how you live it can make a forever impact on the next to come! I wouldn’t change anything that God has done in my life for me, it went that way because going that way made me an even better person than I was! I have ton of distractions around me but I never forget that it’s God that’s guiding my life! And I thank him for everything he’s given me and what he’s going to do before he does it! I’ve never been this happy in my life before and I owe it all to God. I smile all day and I feel good a lot more than I feel bad, and it’s like he removed all my anger and hate from my heart I can’t get mad anymore and I thank him for it because I used to get pretty angry!
I'm going through this right now and have been for I'm embarrassed to say how long... Just recently I'm coming to point where I'm just beginning to say, I've got to let " that " go and just maybe, just maybe God has something else planned... Sometimes wondered maybe it's all over, after all God does heal everyone, God doesn't deliver everyone... Sometimes, got to go into fire and not come out... I can't see my way through it, but I'm going to keep on keeping on... Perhaps the whole purpose of what happened was and is to drive me to my knees and become more committed, more serious, more obedient and be lead by the Spirit... Tear jerking 😢. I've been in his shoes before. I thought that working and getting an education was more important than being a wife and mother. I had a car wreck (my daughter was suppose to be in the car with me, but my mother said "I have her, run your errands. I know you're busy"). that left me on bed rest for 5 months. I talked to God and yelled at him on why did this happen to me. I was at my Mom's house healing up and she heard me, she said to me "Stop! You think you have all the answers about how your life is suppose to be. You mapped it out, but it's not what God has in store for you". I changed my life completely! #wakeupcall God is 1st, husband is 2nd, children 3rd, and everything else falls behind. I wouldn't change what I have for the world right now! I was selfish and pig headed, 8yrs ago I got a true wake up call. I'm not that boss that walks around in heels all day and criticizing others on the job, nor going to class after work neglecting my husband and kids. I praise God daily, cooking, cleaning, helping with homework, wifely duties, charity work, etc while wearing flats😆!! GOD IS GREAT!!

Tragedy is not falling short of one’s goal, tragedy is having what you want then losing it.
I have this experience recently. I had always been praying to God for more than a year to help me admitted into a good business school. I always prayed prayed and prayed intensively. I did fasting also. I studied so much and did the admission tests, but i failed for a couple times repeatedly. I wanted to give up and claimed that i am a failure. But God's words saved me. So I tried even though i thought that it would be harder than i thought before.
I applied for 2 different univs, one MBA and one MA in economics as a safety choice . So i did the entrance tests and i thought that well maybe my chance is a lil bit bigger than i thought. I actually admitted to my safety university.
But the announcement day came and i haven't received my letter. The school only sends letter for the successful applicants. I asked one alumni she said that she received her mail at the same date as the announcement date. So i was really disappointed because i've been working so hard and praying also. My parents also prayed for my dream.
I was so sad and cried for hours.
I knew that i have to be grateful because at least i still have my safety choice.
But i thought that i've been praying for MBA not MA, and it just didn't feel right at that time.
After crying, i prayed. I prayed and suddenly i remembered for all of the prayers that i always said.
The prayers always closed with "I put everything into YOUR holly hands God, let YOU be the one who take control".
I cried and feeling really sorry for couldn't accept the truth.
I was really sorry because no matter what, i should always be grateful and accept every answers God's gave and also keep doing my best.
Even though i was really sad, I have to keep my promise to God. I even thought that well maybe i'm not meant to study in business school.
Couple of days later I passed my mail box and saw a white envelope. I was shaking at that moment and really couldn't believe what i saw.
I took the envelope with a shaking hands and opened it.
The first word i read was "congratulations" and i cried. I fell to my knees and prayed to God. Be thankful for the results but mostly because He never let me down, be thankful that God helped me accepting the "no", and not doubting Him.
I was really amazed by what God did to me, the time i was sure that I didn't get what i always pray and work for, made me accepted for every decisions HE made, and actually replied my prayer as a "yes".
Moreover, i got scholarship from that business school. Not only answered my prayer but He also gave me more than what i thought.
I am really thankful not only because i got what i always prayed and worked for but to always keep my faith on God.
I know that you who reading this is on the hard time. I pray for you, I pray God give you all the strength to bear everything that happened into your life, for every "no" in your life.
I pray that you will remain faithful on God's words even it's painful.
Because God's plan and timing is always perfect.

Amen, I'm facing a similar situation! I've been praying and waiting for over four years for this specific career (job). To, add I've had numerous interviews that all ended with no; we've decided to go with another applicant. Over these four years I had a time accepted the fact that may be it's not for me, but for some reason. Something keeps pulling on my heart to keep applying. Reading your comment made me realize maybe God is going to do it but he's doing it his way! God's promises for us bigger than we can imagine! We think, well Lord I want this so bad I just take whatever you give me, but he sometimes thinks I don't want you rent this I want you too own it. Basically, I'm just saying when God gives it to you, it's way beyond what we could've dreamed. I'm so thank to know my father (God) sees and know what's best for me even when I don't! Watching this 4 years later and i was tearing up pretty badly. My situation wasn't quite to this severity but I was going into sophomore year highschool and wrestling was my thing. Wrestled for 13 years been alive 16. I was one match away from placing in state in 9th grade and tenth grade year was my year to place, coach expected me top 5 in state. Little did I realize my season would be stripped away in practice when I tore my acl in half. I laid there and cried for 10 minutes and then prayed. My entire recovery process I prayed. I had surgery less than a month later and now 6 months later I'm cleared. This was the best worst experience of my life(so far) because it stripped my ego off of me and drove me to christ. I'm now healthy and ready for sophomore season and I'm dedicated to treating every match as it's my last. If you stuck around and read this I greatly appreciate you, praise the lord!

Crazy how life works huh? I have a similar story to Johnson, only that I had a concussion in high School that paralyzed me and stopped me on my dreams of playing at least at a collegiate level. That was about 2-3 years ago. Now, I’m in college, chasing another dream of becoming a nurse. God bless us all and may God tell us which direction our lives truly will be the “correct” path.

When I was little my mom was addicted to bad drugs, I used to always walk to our soccer field and practice for hours and hours, and she came to pick me up and once we got home she fell to the ground and had a seizure, but when she fell she hit her head and I called 911 and they picked up the phone and they tried to keep me calm but I was yelling and screaming for someone to help and my mother passed away , but I made a promise to her that I will buy her a house someday and now I’ll buy us a house someday.

I needed this right now . Was only one board exam and once clinical exam from becoming an MD. N all my hard work n dreams completely shattered when I could not even finish my clinical exam . Anxiety took control over my whole body n mind n went completely blank . It’s difficult to think my life is being redirected to another career after all the effort n money I spent in med school , but I will continue to have faith that he knows what is best for me .
My brothers just got saved and played football in there early years. I’ve been searching for a message to ministry to there young christian journey. This is something they can relate to. I’m so grateful god is so good. He is nightly and knows what his children need. Thank you for sharing it will bless my family tremendously.

Ink has a sad story but he saved so many lives that were falling apart by sharing his story. I listen to his story everyday to lift me b4 i get my day started. They give it a thumbs down because it’s truly heartbreaking that you can give something your all that’s you deep in your soul or hearts desire and have it taken away that quick just because you didn’t spend everyday praising someone or something that may or may not exist
I swear this puts me in such a place because people take everything for granted as if it will always be there or if they will always be there! This life isn’t guaranteed to last forever, but how you live it can make a forever impact on the next to come! I wouldn’t change anything that God has done in my life for me, it went that way because going that way made me an even better person than I was! I have ton of distractions around me but I never forget that it’s God that’s guiding my life! And I thank him for everything he’s given me and what he’s going to do before he does it! I’ve never been this happy in my life before and I owe it all to God. I smile all day and I feel good a lot more than I feel bad, and it’s like he removed all my anger and hate from my heart I can’t get mad anymore and I thank him for it because I used to get pretty angry!

Tear jerking 😢. I've been in his shoes before. I thought that working and getting an education was more important than being a wife and mother. I had a car wreck (my daughter was suppose to be in the car with me, but my mother said "I have her, run your errands. I know you're busy"). that left me on bed rest for 5 months. I talked to God and yelled at him on why did this happen to me. I was at my Mom's house healing up and she heard me, she said to me "Stop! You think you have all the answers about how your life is suppose to be. You mapped it out, but it's not what God has in store for you". I changed my life completely! #wakeupcall God is 1st, husband is 2nd, children 3rd, and everything else falls behind. I wouldn't change what I have for the world right now! I was selfish and pig headed, 8yrs ago I got a true wake up call. I'm not that boss that walks around in heels all day and criticizing others on the job, nor going to class after work neglecting my husband and kids. I praise God daily, cooking, cleaning, helping with homework, wifely duties, charity work, etc while wearing flats😆!! GOD IS GREAT!!
