Nice to see a fire department finally using self locking carabiners with proper gate strength. Well done. As a rope rescue instructor I have One critical recommendation and that is to always have students practice installing edge protection otherwise they will forget during the real thing. Always train the way you want them to fight cause they will fight the way they were trained.
Ok; I'm going to age myself. I am AMAZED at how far the gear has advanced for rope work. I can only drool over this gear and wonder how we ever did it without this level of both equipment and safety. In the military, 1970's - early 80's, we used a rope Swiss Seat, our anchor point was usually a tree on the side of a cliff. A few years after I got out I went through a rope rescue course with the fide department I worked for. I was amazed then at the advancement in technology and equipment. That was 1987. Then I see this video and I'm like, Holy WOW. Thanks for sharing. Y'all be safe out there.

Yea you were expendable too lol . Cheaper to get another soldier than buy good equipment lol . Appreciate your service!
Good ascending music ...loved it
Good stuff there. Using the ASAP with the pulley is something people seem to forget. Have to keep it inline and in a good position to catch if needed.
