"Dank u bel" for all ur videos and greetings from Barcelona. When i was a erasmus teacher in Utrecht i used to travel a lot with the "Nederlaandse Spoorwegen" and, as a train lover, have to say that i'm really enjoying al ur videos!!! Lekker lekker :)
+VonJanskerkhof mistake: "erasmus student" and not "erasmus teacher"
+VonJanskerkhof Thank you VonJanskerkhof. Always nice to hear. I have plenty of videos of Utrecht, it has changed quite a lot the last year.
very beautiful Videos on your Channel!!!
Thank you for Uploading!!!
Marco Fischer My pleasure. For a complete list of videos visit my spreadsheet: bit.ly/cabview.
I have added this video to the playlist 'long cab rides'. I have reviewed hundreds of cab ride videos and added the ones I think are the best.
+Joe90V, The tunnel at best was built next to the existing track. It was done over a period of several years. That way the train service was not interrupted and the construction could proceed without having too many restrictions. Here's an old video from 2014 where you can see the construction going on: ua-cam.com/video/wfK_RL0So80/v-deo.htmlm8s
Right after the railroad crossing you can see the construction to the left.
O ja ook op de stations alwaar je stopte .
mooie rit gemaakt. meester brax.. top... beter als een camera op het hoofd...
albert pot Ik hou inderdaad meer van een stabieler beeld. :)
uiteraard. dank voor uw bericht..
I've just noticed the oncoming train at 83mins 50secs is just vacating the same line. Glad there wasn't a points failure as I can't see any signals to warn you & it would be on you before you reached your points. Is that normal, because that would test my bowel movement if I was a driver?!
As a civil engineer I enjoy spotting the large bridges that you cross, referencing them on google and identifying them. But, I have a question, how was the tunnel built at Best? Did they re-route the line temporarily or simply close it? Thanks for all the great videos.
Joe90V, the situation around 1:23:43 is pretty standard. The oncoming track is not coming from the same track but from the track beside the track I'm on (to the left). The line ahead is clear, otherwise the signal light wouldn't be green. Before a signal can turn green it has to reserve the track in front of it.
We have had a collision at that exact spot in 2012 but that was because a train (SLT) ran a red light. Here's the video (in Dutch, but the breakdown is that the train driver in the SLT was distracted by a train to it's right which had a defective red light at the end of the train. This caused the train driver to miss the red signal intended for her train.)

Eposis Brax Thanks for the info. Always great to get some background knowledge.
Sorry there appears to be a fault with my comments, and after the last time I checked to confirm there was a reply button, and there was & is, at least on my view of the page. So, could anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong, that makes the reply button disappear?
Joe90V I have absolutely no idea. It's something UA-cam (Google) is doing? Sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not. It even varies with the same person. I have no idea what is causing it.
***** That's nice to hear. Have you also seen my video from Alkmaar to Maastricht? ua-cam.com/video/sTYLVpzc_JM/v-deo.html
zo klote, vermeld station, vermeld snelheid, geen idee waar ik mij bevind.
