All of you folks saying that he is incredibly bad, let me say you a few things. Firstly the singer (Liam Gallagher, he is) has himself stated that he cannot sing for shit melodically, but the thing that makes his voice so unique and amazing, is the power and effort he can put into it. He will never own a voice like - lets say - Justin Bieber's or any of the resent pop-stars of our modern time, because (as he has also said) he cannot sing alone that greatly. He really wouldn't be so big of a thing if he would have gone solo back in the day, but such an amazing rockband as Oasis playing along with him, he became one of the most well known rockstars of all time. Being a good vocalist of a band doesn't necessarily mean being a melodically great, it is about being unique, powerful and dedicated with a great attitude to the thing you do. Thank you

wtsmg was an album of Anthems! Its the 4th biggest selling album in british history. I hate all the negativeness about Be Here Now, I fuckin Love it man!
I agree, BHN is a good album, it was the last of the trilogy of albums from the classic Oasis. Liam's vocals were good during BHN days, don't get me wrong... especially in hindsight, but at the time when it came out, I was wondering what happened to the vocals I heard from Champagne Supernova, but that's just me. I still love Liam and Oasis, different voice even still.
I totally get what yer saying, but there is a difference in how he sounded on the wtsmg sessions versus be here now songs... Liam sang with a bit of sneer in his voice and made it sound "edgier" I guess, but a lot of the songs on wtsmg Liam sang it straight up, imo there is a reason why that album was better received, Liam sang it in a fashion more friendly to pop radio, not just rock stations.
he was able to get just the vocals of this song because it was on rock band u need the master tracks, then u need a certain program to remove different instruments so unless you have the master tracks from rock, if u even want songs from, and the right program, u cant do it

Oasis' missing appeal after the WTSMG album is because Liam's tone of vocals keep changing every album, they get deeper and gruffer/scratchier?... even as a big Oasis fan, I know that America lost interest in Oasis not just because they don't write songs like they used to, but because Liam's vocals don't sound as radio friendly and as clean as the WTSMG days. It took Liam more than 10 years to finally realise this, as he is taking better care of his voice these days or trying to at least.
Liam's voice is ace here, but I think it went downhill after a while, and last year and a bit before that, he was almost incoherent. Definitely think Noel was better. Just my opinion though x

I am well aware that a vocal technique can make your voice sound clean or scruffy, but time has not been kind to Liam's voice because of his singing style using that "technique" and aging, and drinking and smoking is taking its toll. If you don't believe that, you are the idiot to think Liam can sound as good as those morning glory days if he wanted to.
its a good album....the problem is that some songs are way too long. Good album yes. Not as good as defintiely maybe or Whats the story. Its like the flawed third act of a trilogy. (Star Wars, X-men, Godfather)
