Correct sir. Great song. That transition from the guitar solo to the ending though could use some work.

Wow what a way to disrespect the band, Guess what Cliff Burton didn't record anything for this song and there are numerous other bassists that have done bass solo's not just cliff, maybe you should expand your music horizons if you think that's the case.. its like saying wow love the kirk hammet solo in this song.. you realise how stupid that would sound right?

This song came out on my former fiances birthday. She was about 6 months pregnant with our child at the time.
2 months prior I had found out she had been sleeping with her friends husband behind both our backs for about 2 years. I was working 48hrs a week and finishing up my bachelor's as a full time student. Buying a house for us to have a family in. I guess I was a little to busy being the best I could share with her.
Anyway on my way home from work, on her birthday in 21 youtube recommended this song that came out that day. I cried the whole way home. Like I had for months.
I decided that day that I would never give her the opportunity again.
She could stay at my house. I would provide for our son and her the best I could but I wasn't her man anymore.
She decided to run back home to her parents.
Now I have a better job. And a better part time. My house is getting fixed up how I like. Life is much better.
The only heartache I can't get over is my son being 2000 miles away now.
I've missed so much of his life already. Changing diapers. Peekaboo. Reading to him. Dancing with him. First steps. Getting to hug him every day.
I would anything to be with him right now. Anything but forget who his mother really is.
    I can feel the pain.
I can live with it though. One day i will be with him again
Until then I will avoid Harry Chapin
