- As a first-time mother, FUJIFILM X-Photographer Mindy Tan documents the early days she spends with her newborn daughter. It is a challenging time but she forces herself to pick up the camera to capture these fleeting and precious moments before they disappear.
The photos are taken using the X-T50, with various Film Simulations, shown straight out of camera.
The BTS video is filmed with FUJIFILM X-H2S, using the Nostalgic Neg. Film Simulation straight out of camera, on 4K.

it's one of the sweetest and most tender things I've ever seen since I've been following this channel... very touching ❤️
thank you 🙏
@@MindyTan thank you, congratulations on the little one and I wish you the best 🥰
I was thinking how to describe the purity of the essence of this short film and came up with
authentic,
bright,
classic,
natural,
neat,
perfect,
real,
simple,
true.
Fujifilm X
The pure essence of photography ❤
Beautiful. So moving. It gave me goosebumps.
So sweet
thank you :)
brought back the memories when my daughter was born.. my old beloved xe-3 and 23&f2 was always there on our sides to make those precious moments everlasting.. she's now 6 yold and i still keep rocking with the same setup..
I have used that combination too, its great and simple
watched really a lot of videos on this channel and very often its (of course) marketing or advertising. but this video is an exception, its just pure love :-) thx very much.
thank you very much
One of the best Fujifilm promo videos ever. Very nicely done!
Hello! Here is a brief suggestion.
At 3:05 we see that Mindy chooses her custom profile and then her film simulation on the dial. But it makes 2 steps instead of one, when you can apply a film simulation to the custom settings profile. So the suggestion is to let the user attach a custom profile to a particular film simulation of a dial which will be used by default with that film simulation. That will make the film simulation more useful and make 1 step instead of two.
Dear Mindy, a small message for you.
I am happy to see your personal happiness. I remember your youtube videos which were useful when I began my photography journey, especially one when you took people of people who work in waste disposal. Hope your baby will join you in your photography one day :)
PS My name is Sasha, too, btw :D
Hi Sasha, thank you for your well wishes. I think you are mentioning the waste disposal video for X-T5. Please watch the earlier videos of Fujigirl I made for X-Pro3 too, they are generic and contain snippets of photography demonstration with tips you might pick up :)
@@MindyTan oh, thanks for your reply, I definitely will check that out!
Thank you fuji I cried.
... wunderbares Video. So schöne nachvollziehbare Gefühle. Love it ❤
Danke schön!
You kinda convince me to get a xpro-3 by the documentary you did, and now you kinda convince to have a baby since i own a really good camera already!
Very nicely done, the editing is amazing. And very interesting the use you have with the custom settings, i always preset a particularly film simulation and never occurred to me to set a specific "feel" and the apply the sim, i'm gonna check that out in my camera.
LOL, its harder to have a baby than to buy a camera, but maybe you should!
Each film sim has a life of its own, within itself, it can have different feels too. For example, for ACROS, I like it stark and will push to its extremes. Have a go
I hope that film dial can be remapped with a firmware and hopefully someone will sell a skin / cover to cover it up. I love my X-T30 for the size but the X-T50 dial has put me off this line.
beautiful
0:12 A shame there's no way to directly print from the X-T50 to any of the Instax printers. Have to first route the photos through a phone.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
👍👍👍
Very nice video. I'm curious to know what lenses did you use with the X-H2s to shoot this video? Thanks
We used the new X-T50 kit lens, XF16-50mm , and the XF23mmF2 prime
@@MindyTan Ahh nice. Thanks for sharing. Looks like Singapore. Great place to live. I lived in the Woodlands area several years ago, for a few years. Very enjoyable and definitely miss the food. Cheers 🥂
I would’ve loved to color grade this 😍
how would you have done it?
Good.
If shoot at home, maybe a7cr + 35mm Master lens is better, because she said she take picture in low light environment
Nice video and style of documenting life. Beatuiful. Thank you. Cannot agree more with some of your statements, e.g. on low (available) light, apperture etc.
Dear Fuji though: Please, please work in the reliability of the AF / Eye Tracking. In my experience (x-t5 and various latest gen prime lenses, mainly the f1.4 ones, 16/18, 23, 35) it even worsened with the latest FW update. "I do not want to loose the memories of a single day" - yes, exactley! These moments simply pass by, unfortunaltey on many, too many out of focus images); to much to call it "character shots". But, in every shot I have to beg for the camera to somewhat reliably focus in real life situations with kids. Kids of young age do not do sports or are not fast flying birds. But they move. My cameras' AF/eye detection, sometimes detect eyes, but more often pebbles, food (beans...) or anything. Occasionally it's almost funny to the the little green box trying to avoid my kids' eyes... FW 3.01 did not improve, more the opposite. I am really getting frustrated with my formerly beloved x-mount system. I really want to focus on my kids and document them growing up and loving life and not on technology. Please, please, focus on the reliability and not so much on life style street photography etc. Thank you. (more and more I agree with a German content creator who posted sth like "Fuiji sells SoXX cams"... (different story behind that, I can just tell you that for me the entire AF topic makes me look outside your offerings - noise (qaility with low light as described here), availabliity and too much of hype generation comes next)
This camera at most should be 1000usd or euros........Fuji you are ripping us off. Do better!
Nice video. The camera looks nice but family photos are better if you have a camera to shoot it with. Keep doing your artificial scarcity thing Fuji!
富士のカメラで子供撮りたいけど、在庫ないのが普通だし、高いし、日本市場どうでも良さそうだから買えない
