You guys, I loved this video. The tour around where you were going, the decision of picking the van over a NY apartment, and the funny turn of the camera to the window lingerie, as you were talking about fun (good timing). The view with you two on the bridge where you were both so happy made me smile again, and my favorite was seeing how happy you both were to be back in the van with Frank. Lots of smiles here. Thank you for sharing these moments.
Okay, some people get addicted to TV shows we have gotten addicted to Trent & Ally videos! My wife texts me from work and says did Trent and Ally post something new today?! And I'm like not yet! And then you do and we both get all excited! It has to really do your heart good to know you have two senior citizens hooked on your videos! Ha ha ha ha
I’m born and raised in Queens, NY. I cherish the experience because it was unique and I grew up and experienced some iconic NY only things. I moved to rural CT in 2002 and love it here and I am happy to be living in the country and away from the crowds and concrete. I’ve never been to the Highline and have wanted to go for so long. My family has all moved out of the city and I hardly ever go down further then Pelham. Again you two have inspired me to get out there and do all these things I’ve been wanting to for so long.
Great video as always. I really enjoyed ur tour of NYC but I truly understand "there is no place like HOME". Ur smiles really came out in the end when u were reunited with Frank and those comforts of HOME. Thx for sharing ur experience once again.
NYC is a love it or hate it place like no other...no in between. New Yorker’s come off cold or indifferent on the street but when you get to meet them they are nicer than you think and the multicultural side is unique. So grateful for the time I got to live there although it was only 6 months.
My son lives in NYC in the East Village and I am going to visit soon. I have been several times now and love the energy there and want to thank you for showing me some places I have been and places to see. NYC is awesome! Thank you both it was fun being there with you!
I have to say, one very important thing I love about you Trent is that you always speak your truth. You don't censor your opinion to cater to the masses. I love your true and honest view.
You both are very special! Look foward to your videos. I am from NYC originally. Havnt lived there in over 40 yrs. I would say fun to visit and even better to go back home!
Loved video! I want to visit NYC once, but I know I could never live there, too many people!! I don't do well with that many folks! Lived in Lubbock, Tx all my life almost, and in the country to boot! I love watching the sunsets and sunrises here, they're beautiful!! Glad your staying in the van! Can't wait to start my nomad journey! Safe travels!🤗👍💗🐶
Loved that Van Live clothing store you walked by. Fun and exciting. And it does not take up much room. lol From an urban renewal point of view, the Highline trail is a huge success. thanks for taking us along.
My wife and I took a trip to NYC and yours reminded me of ours. We too took the tour on the big bus and rode upstairs. Very enjoyable also brought back some enjoyable memories.
So much fun guys! This reminded me a bit of living in Toronto (Only Toronto has loads of green spaces that can make you feel like your in the middle of nature...I'm a bit bias :) ) Van life in cities seems hard, but you can always take a mini van break! Thanks for sharing!
You guys inspire me. I’m a pharmacist in Florida. I worked hard to become ‘successful’ and I’m thankful for all I have but think a lot about going back to living a more free & simple life. Thank you so much for sharing your lifestyle with us. I’d love to meet you guys one day!
Can't tell you the tears this brought to my eyes. At first it made me soooooo home sick, but than I was like "home is a-where you hanga u hat!" (see if you can identify that quote). And than I was just missing being in New York to show you around, but looks like you did a pretty good job on your own. Glad you made it over the Bridge and explored some of Brooklyn Bridge Park. Enjoyed this episode immensely!
Aww Ellen We really missed you on this trip! It was very strange to not have a base in brooklyn, but Asheville will provide it's own level of paradise :)
Aloha! I just came across your channel and just wanted you both to know I really enjoy it! I will be making the transition to a truck camper in the future and it is encouraging to see your excursions and hear your advice. So thank you and keep on enJoying the ride! Maybe our paths will cross one day. Till then, Aloha!
Yep thank you for the tour of New York! I was trying to see you living there but home with Frank was the absolute best 😍👍Watching this on my phone it works but the ads makes me a bit off since I don't have premium or adblock but your video was as always great so gracias, grazie et merci 🇺🇸
Some places are meant to visit while others are meant to live. That being said, glad y'all had fun but glad to see you back to the life you both love. Brandon
👍 as always. Great video, was kinda hoping to see the apartment too but I love the van and seeing you guys home. You have a cozy van for sure! Why no apartment viewing? Just wondered
Thanks, for the New York visit, enjoy your trip.Show us cool places ! Thanks for info on places. The Hy lane riding a bike. That's cool Booklin,New York.
I loved this video! Thanks for showing the city I love as a tourist. I'm always on my way to somewhere and do not take the time to appreciate it sometimes. There is so much to explore in NYC. It may not be ocean, but it's not far, and the city is filled with parks. But agree, there is no place like home. I love to visit NYC, but I love my home 2 hrs north on the river in the woods.
Looks like a lot of fun. Glad you got to get-away. Thanks for taking us along. Wouldn't it be gr8 if big cities had a little RV park in the center of town?
Keep that back pack on the front when inside or on the subway that way you won’t hurt anyone. Glad your opted for the Van over NY cause it makes you both more interesting to me.
Just watched this video you did in my hometown NYC. Its nice to touring my city through someone else's 👀 . Will be going to the start of your youtube channel to start from the beginning.
It's a shame that in some big cities a van is not suitable. We're in Stockholm, Sweden, and every single parking space is paid for or reserved, and it feels as though driving a van here is not welcome, or you must have a lot of money to do so, which is a big shame.
The picture for the video Allie you looked scared but Trent you just looked scary😂. New York trip was great. I think I'm a foodie now. Where was all the good food? Torture me, please!😋Frank! I bet he got spoiled. Love y'all!😘💖🐾💖
Frank definitely got spoiled and we didn't film the food because we didn't do as much eating as we should have!! Glad you liked the video Gibbs and thanks for calling me scary lol
Click your ruby red slippers Trent and repeat 3x's "There's no place like home". For me thats the feeeling I get everytime I return home. NYC is great to visit. Museum's, great restaurants, ethnic diversity, and just people watching in general. Did you see the USS Enterprise?? That's a neat attraction even though it's a tourist trap. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit with family, and friends. Safe travels always. Love & Peace
Thanks for taking us around New York one of my favourite cities in the world. I went there a few years ago when I stayed with my sister near Amherst MA, it was so lovely to be back there with you guys while I lie in my warm bed in Australia in the middle of our winter ha ha
Hey guys..i subbed a long time back and have seen quite a few of your great videos which are really enjoyable to watch but haven't commented until i saw this and thought ''oh no i hope they haven't succumbed into city life''..anyhow so glad you haven't but it was good to get a look around NYC and who doesn't want to get home to their pup. all the best and safe and happy travels to you both..oh and of course Frank.lol.
I really enjoyed this video guys! Not a big city girl myself, much prefer vanlife! Isn't it hilarious how excited we are to see our fur babies when we get home? Sometimes more or just as excited as they are! Lol Big hugs to Frank from my Hank! 🐶💞🐶
We were there in 2017 and we loved it! Went to the Friends building, High Line etc and loved it so much. We were there for 16 days and walked for miles and miles whilst we were there! 💕
Thank you for taking me with you on your tour to New York City's always been one place I'd like to actually visit but I probably never will... I don't have the patience to deal with pushy yelling people... I'd have to deal out some Northern ornery Justice for them being rude LOL
Love that y'all took us on your tour of NYC. Another place I've driven through but did not take the time to visit and see....Got stuck on the George Washington Bridge in traffic so many times that I was like..GAHHHH Just Get To Maine already! ahahahahhaaha Man, I'm going to have to make the Upper East Coast a bucket list must see...AGAIN.....LOL I honestly think it was because I was by myself. And though I'm getting pretty okay with doing things alone, those kind of things I want to share with someone else. It may sound stupid but I want to ooooo and ahhhhh with someone who gets why I am oooo'ing and ahhh'ing...lmao...I'm such a dork...anyway, much love and safe travels guys!
It's hard to explore and really enjoy sites and places without sometime to share it with!! I agree! and we tried to make the title clicky but not too deceiving haha. Sorry you felt clickbaited ;(
How surprised I was to see you at my Subway station (181st St, A train) in this video...my guess is that you came uptown to visit The Cloisters during your NYC jaunt.
My in laws live in Kew Garden, NY. I enjoy visiting them and they know to put beer in the fridge when i get there because this is how i tolerate New York. LOL. But of course its always nice to see them. Enjoyed the video.
Oh thank goodness! I thought you guys were giving up van life!! No can do!!! Have fun! It’s s great city. I lived there when I was 21 to 24 in the 1960’s. Ask me if I had fun!!!!!!
I've lived in an apartment in NYC my entire life and love it but lately I'm been considering van life and getting out in nature. Only thing holding me back is I don't have a travel buddy and I think that van life solo must be fairly lonely. Would you do van life if you had to go it alone?
At this point I think I would do it alone if I had to but in the beginning it seems more daunting to do it alone. I understand where you're coming from but I think you'd still love it if you just did it!!
I freaked when I saw the headline! Glad to know it's just a few days! I went to New York in August for the first time ever! I loved it! Go to museums - the Native American Museum, The Metropolitan Museum, and go to The Public Library! Great places!
If you had a car in NYC, you could go to the mountains from here! And we have loads of grass in parks! There's Central Park and Prospect Park in Brooklyn, which is also huge. :) But I hear you. I'm still hoping to do van life someday, but am worried about making a living on the road... :D
Nah we would never!! haha glad you liked the video, we didn't film the apartment since it was Allies uncles and we didn't want to put it on the internet
I'm glad you two are not going to leave your van behind for some fancy shmancy New York apartment! Good choice! To be honest, having people up on me and beside me would drive me nuts! I was born in a small town and I guess that's what I will always prefer. It would be nice to visit there, though.
Hey guys. From we’re your standing. Look across the river. To the left of the Brooklyn Bridge. See the Green glass building? That’s were I work. Just left there this morning. 😁👍
Thought same lol. Hey listen from GWB. STRAIGHT UP PALISADES PWKY. exit 17. Think it’s 17. 7 lakes drive. It’s Bear Mountain. You will never know you just left manhattan ! Truly some beautiful sites. If your up that way. Signal and I’ll get my wife and me to say hello. We are off exit 6 😁
It's so funny to come across this video now in Nov. 2020 during covid times knowing your now married and building a house in the mountains of Utah. surreal for sure!
This is the first time I feel kinda baited yet enjoyed a video this much. I got the eebie-jeebies after not too long and am Glad you left, I was afraid you might stay.
Bad kids! That really was clickbait as you made us think you were giving up the van life! I'm glad you're not. I'm old enough to be your grandmother, but I do so enjoy watching you two as you travel. I hope to get on the road myself come spring, but in the meantime, get a lot of van ideas from you two. There are 3 or 4 couples your age I love watching, so thanks for sharing! I'm glad you haven't given up on van life, but also happy for you that you got to explore the Big Apple! It's a fun city to visit!
You two, you got me worried there for a minute, I thought reading your video title that you were trading your van towards an apartment lol Funny seeing Trent wanting to see the friends apartment, I was invited to New York several years ago to collect my Shorty Award, which was presented to me by none other than Kiefer Sutherland, he had just finished filming the last of his 24 series. Whilst in NY I went to the top of the Empire State Building, and visited some filming locations from The Equalizer tv series from the 80's, not the latest revamp movies. Also got to see where NYPD Blue was shot, the police station, talking of which they are releasing a new NYPD Blue next year I believe.
I've lived in NYC practically my entire life and the secret to living in NYC is to have a second home in the country, the mountains, or the beach.......I realized this in my mid 20's and bought a 2nd home in my early 30's......I'm now 70 and have been enjoying both worlds immensely for a lot of years......life is a matter of balance.......
We spent 10 days in Manhattan and it wasn't enough to see to see all the sights we wanted. I found New Yorkers to be very nice, one even paying our bus fare when we didn't know they didn't take cash, only the transit card. Take care
I moved out of NY in 1970 , my dad & mom owned a beauty salon on 42nd & Madison Ave in Manhattan for over 40 yr It was in the 50 east building we had half of the third floor it was the largest one in manhattan . we sold it in 1970 and moved to Fla. I miss the food of NY but not the people I use to hang in Brooklyn and went to school in the Bronx . I lived on the subways from age 12 till we moved. I went back for a fam reunion I was there for 72 hr and it was 71 hr to many I hated it couldn't wait to get back to Ga. well I hope to be full time nomad by summer next year. Looking for a short bus or tall van to convert getting close yea. hope too meet you guys on the road and cook with yall take care stay safe stay strong , Hug Frank. Peace
Whew...busy place 4 sure! I couldn’t sleep with all that noise & the traffic...I have a little road rage 😂😂😂 I’d have free room & board in the local jail 🤷🏻♀️😂😂❤️❤️❤️✌🏻
Shocking!!! I thought! I thought you guys were leaving the van life. You guys scared me... I wish we could see you, you guys are our insperation and also bec&emon. Thats why i bought our promaster cargo van 2500 159 WB non-extended. But we have not started yet. Still having trouble picking what we would want inside our tiny house van. 🤔😥😓😔😕😟😩😬
The title scared the crap out of me. How could you trade the van? It's family. I almost cried. Do you think I enjoy taggin along on your travels? Just a tad. Glad it was just a vaca. Deep sigh of relief. Carry on.
You guys, I loved this video. The tour around where you were going, the decision of picking the van over a NY apartment, and the funny turn of the camera to the window lingerie, as you were talking about fun (good timing). I love your true and honest view.

I would say fun to visit and even better to go back home!

Thanks for the tour. I am so like you guys....."Don't mind visiting there but wouldn't want to stay"! Great video!
Glad we see eye to eye on the subject haha
Not so subtle change of subject at 6:30 ;) very nice view at 9:30. Vanlife seems to really fit you well, safe travel and thanks for the video !
Glad you liked that Alexandre haha!! Thanks for watching :)
It seemed so chaotic in the city. Even I felt more relaxed watching you get back to the van! 😂😂😂
It's a very anxious place for sure
My wife and I took a trip to NYC and yours reminded me of ours. We too took the tour on the big bus and rode upstairs. Very enjoyable also brought back some enjoyable memories.
It's amazing to see the quality of your videos improve dramatically in a relatively short time. The editing is fantastic. So professional!

Yeah the bus tour almost went by 368 but not quite. we've seen it before though so it wasn't a big deal to us ;)
👍 as always. Great video, was kinda hoping to see the apartment too but I love the van and seeing you guys home. You have a cozy van for sure! Why no apartment viewing? Just wondered
It was Allies uncles apartment and we didn't want to put it on blast. We should have but we just didn't.
I'm from New York City guys and I hope you loved your experience, even though you need more time to really enjoy it. But awesome. Thanks for coming.
All that talk about Home Alone got me lookin for the sticky bandits. Great tour!
Old Marv and Harry huh? LOL

That's actually a great idea!! Thanks Vee :)
Please do not keep your backpack on the front on the subway! 😊 You put it in between your legs so it’s secure and you take up less room
When in stores and stuff it helps to hold the backpack with one hand by your legs so you can easily maneuver

It may sound stupid but I want to ooooo and ahhhhh with someone who gets why I am oooo'ing and ahhh'ing...lmao...I'm such a dork...anyway, much love and safe travels guys!
PS ~~ YAY YOU DIDNT DITCH THE VAN......hahahaha damn click bait titles had me like..OMG NO THEY ARENT.....ahahahahahaa
It's hard to explore and really enjoy sites and places without sometime to share it with!! I agree!
and we tried to make the title clicky but not too deceiving haha. Sorry you felt clickbaited ;(
@@TrentandAllie awww I was totally joking on the clickbait comment. I love you guys!
Allie is just so adorable...beautiful personality, beautiful face, beautiful spirit.
Love binge-watching your videos.
Oh thank goodness! I thought you guys were giving up van life!! No can do!!! Have fun! It’s s great city. I lived there when I was 21 to 24 in the 1960’s. Ask me if I had fun!!!!!!
Oh i'm sure you had fun in the 60's in NYC I'm sure it's so different now though right?
I've lived in an apartment in NYC my entire life and love it but lately I'm been considering van life and getting out in nature. Only thing holding me back is I don't have a travel buddy and I think that van life solo must be fairly lonely. Would you do van life if you had to go it alone?
At this point I think I would do it alone if I had to but in the beginning it seems more daunting to do it alone. I understand where you're coming from but I think you'd still love it if you just did it!!
So funny, just stumbled upon this video I bet you guys never thought you’d be building a house in Utah, the time this vid came out😂👍😎
You guys are my _favorite_ youtubers. NYC is cool, but I prefer the Southern Life.
Honestly I prefer the south as well!! Most hospitable people on the planet!
I freaked when I saw the headline! Glad to know it's just a few days! I went to New York in August for the first time ever! I loved it! Go to museums - the Native American Museum, The Metropolitan Museum, and go to The Public Library! Great places!
All places on the list for next time!! We missed all those spots ;(
OMG I thought you were actually ditching the van. I was like NOOOOOOO!
clickbait victim!
Me too
Same for me lol
We would never ;)
Me too.
If you had a car in NYC, you could go to the mountains from here! And we have loads of grass in parks! There's Central Park and Prospect Park in Brooklyn, which is also huge. :) But I hear you. I'm still hoping to do van life someday, but am worried about making a living on the road... :D
Just trust in the process and something will present itself that will help you make a living on the road :) Good Luck Lea
Nice video. Thanks for the tour of New York! One thing....um.... I didn't get my bagel...are those going to be shipped to us?
Haha I didn't even get to take home a few bagels!! I wish we could have handed you one through the screen haha
Thought you both were giving up the van. Would have been cool to see the apartment. Great video!
Nah we would never!! haha glad you liked the video, we didn't film the apartment since it was Allies uncles and we didn't want to put it on the internet
I’m glad you came home
So are we :) Thanks for watching Lora ;)
I'm glad you two are not going to leave your van behind for some fancy shmancy New York apartment! Good choice! To be honest, having people up on me and beside me would drive me nuts! I was born in a small town and I guess that's what I will always prefer. It would be nice to visit there, though.
You're right Sharon!! Fun to visit but not fun to stay haha.
Hey guys. From we’re your standing. Look across the river. To the left of the Brooklyn Bridge. See the Green glass building? That’s were I work. Just left there this morning. 😁👍
That's so awesome!!! Would be cool if you watched this video from that building that's in the thumbnail haha
Thought same lol. Hey listen from GWB. STRAIGHT UP PALISADES PWKY. exit 17. Think it’s 17. 7 lakes drive. It’s Bear Mountain. You will never know you just left manhattan ! Truly some beautiful sites. If your up that way. Signal and I’ll get my wife and me to say hello. We are off exit 6 😁
Holy moly!! I thought you were selling the van!! Especially when you were getting the key for the apt!
Nah!! We would never!!
To be young and active. I love watching your videos.
It's so funny to come across this video now in Nov. 2020 during covid times knowing your now married and building a house in the mountains of Utah. surreal for sure!
Welcome to New Yauk. Big man wear the back pack on the front. Just like you will with your future children. Temperatures are a state of mind!
I really like your take on the temps haha and yeah the backpack in the front is a better idea for sure
This is the first time I feel kinda baited yet enjoyed a video this much. I got the eebie-jeebies after not too long and am Glad you left, I was afraid you might stay.
That's a positive comment to me!! Glad you enjoyed the video :) Sorry you felt some what deceived ;(
Allie in her stomping grounds, woooohooo! Allie💗's NY. Wait,... where's Frank?! Gotta get back to Frank!!!!!
yeah one day away from frank is too much!!
You can totally park in the city! We just did. :-) must have missed you. You can stay at Floyd Bennett Park in Brooklyn too if you want a secure site.
Nice!! Noted for the future :)
Nice to change it up once in a while... see how the other people do.
Yeah sardine life haha!! Not my style that's for sure
I'm from upstate NY! You guys should head up to the Adirondacks! I know its getting pretty cold out but its beautiful up here!
We'll have to hit that area the next time around!!
Yeah we had a blast there and we had to make you second guess if we would give up the van right? haha
You two, you got me worried there for a minute, I thought reading your video title that you were trading your van towards an apartment lol
Funny seeing Trent wanting to see the friends apartment, I was invited to New York several years ago to collect my Shorty Award, which was presented to me by none other than Kiefer Sutherland, he had just finished filming the last of his 24 series.
That's awesome that you got a shorty award and that you watch out videos ;)
I've lived in NYC practically my entire life and the secret to living in NYC is to have a second home in the country, the mountains, or the beach.......I realized this in my mid 20's and bought a 2nd home in my early 30's......I'm now 70 and have been enjoying both worlds immensely for a lot of years......life is a matter of balance.......
We spent 10 days in Manhattan and it wasn't enough to see to see all the sights we wanted. I found New Yorkers to be very nice, one even paying our bus fare when we didn't know they didn't take cash, only the transit card. Take care
They take coins, no bills on the bus.
Yeah most new yorkers are actually very kind!!
Beacon, and surrounding area, was where the cool spooky film The Quiet Place was filmed. If you two are ever in S.NH hit us up.
Will do!! That's awesome they filmed that movie there haha
THE FRNDS BUILDINGGGG😍😍😍
Click bait title... but it worked! I watched it and I am happy y'all didn't really trade the van for an apartment! :)
Sorry you felt deceived but so glad you actually liked the video :)
@@TrentandAllie No worries! It was a good "deception". 🤣 Seriously though, thanks for great content. Blessings!
Peace
That's awesome Chef!! I bet your parents would be rich if they kept that apartment til now haha
Whew...busy place 4 sure! I couldn’t sleep with all that noise & the traffic...I have a little road rage 😂😂😂 I’d have free room & board in the local jail 🤷🏻♀️😂😂❤️❤️❤️✌🏻
Good vlog. Would like to see more of NY.
Next time around, we'll get more time there
Luv this vid! Y'all are great!
Thank you!! and thanks for watching :)
Shocking!!!
Trying to design the floor plan can be the hardest part that's for sure!! Glad we can all inspire you and good luck with your build :)
The title scared the crap out of me. How could you trade the van? It's family. I almost cried. Do you think I enjoy taggin along on your travels? Just a tad. Glad it was just a vaca. Deep sigh of relief. Carry on.
5:50 was music to my ears :)
Don't worry we are so happy to take you along on the journey!! Glad you enjoyed this video even if it did scare you a little ;)
