This video was very informative. Thank you!
You're welcome.
I wish I could have access to you for a provider. So many questions and not enough answers. I have followed you and others of the EDS community since both my daughters and I were diagnosed and currently have new symptoms if you will that I can’t get to the bottom of. Thank you for providing all of your knowledge!!!
Sorry to hear that you and your daughters are going through that. We do see patients from out of state often. Please reach out to us via our website using Klara if you'd like to discuss scheduling.
Do you know of anyone in the Nashville or Middle Tennessee area that could help with a diagnosis? I have so many symptoms but none of my current doctors know enough about hEDS or HSD.
Unfortunately, we do not know of anyone specific. However, The Ehlers Danlos Society has a list of providers by country, state, and city that might be helpful.
If a 60-year old has lost hypermobility with age… such that she might miss the 4-point Beighton score by a matter of a few degrees… (for the pinky and the knees…) though she is still, for example, able to do the prayer sign behind her back and sit in a W position… is there no way that such a person could ever get an hEDS diagnosis? Is it even worth the expense to make an appointment for a diagnosis? Thanks so much!
..and what if you don't know your family history? Being adopted and seeking medical help is even harder because " I don't know" to that question are treated as a "NO" and they close the case if the criteria includes "family history" ..and there's nothing wrong with U.. 👀🤷🏽♀️
