Vanessa. You are the best teacher by far on UA-cam. You don't skip the important details and teach like you really care about the people on the other side of the screen. You have more than a knack for teaching.
You've boosted my self-confidence. The easiest loyalty card tutorial I've seen. Thank you!! I'm a total novice and I appreciate that you were very explanatory. I totally feel that I'll be able to make one along with watching your tutorial at the same time. I agree that I will be looking for cell phone, cash and change slots as well.
Great tips! I'm sooo picky when it comes to wallets so when I find one that works for me I carry it until it literally falls apart! I also have to have a zippered change pocket, a good spot for receipts, lots of card slots and another pocket to carry my business cards (always gotta be ready to network!).
I really love your style of showing and explaining things. Sometimes I have to rewind (!) because you make it seem SO easy but thanks to technology it's no problem. I actually like that your videos are lively and fast, they keep me on my toes :-) My sewing is all self-taught and you really make me want to keep learning. Thank You!
Can you show us how to make an around the waist, or belt like, fanny-type of cellphone bag? Those are really in right now! I had never seen your videos before and I just saw you and wow! So young and intelligent! I am definitely interested in learning how to make my own wallets. How do I join your club? Thank you.
You’re the best teacher, you hooked me at “put the pretty sides together,” to a non-sewer that made sense. That was 6 years ago, your 12-block video quilting tutorials. Just finished the 34th quilt, and a $99K house remodel to add a quilting room. All your fault. LOL
Love this new wallet club, love to make a clutch wallet that is able to hold money, coins, credit card, a pocket on the side to hold cellphone and a few makeup-lipsticks, etc
Would love a wallet to hold a cell phone, cash, change and have 9 or 10 card slots, plus a see thru for ID! Absolutely love your tutorials and can't wait for this wallet club to start!!
Thanks Vanessa I'm looking forward to this and making my sons and husband new wallets for Christmas time. Love all of your techniques shown here!!!✂️✂️✂️
I'm all ready for this!!! I would like to have a medium folding wallet with pockets and a snap closure. When you open it its full size for bills and on the inside are the credit card pockets but it can be carried in a smaller cross body bag without interfering with the zippers at the top.
Wow this is perfect. I've tried wallets without success and am anxious to learn how to do them. I would like folding wallets with a place for bills and coins, long wallets that can be used alone love the see through slot for a license and I sometimes find that I need an area for a card slightly larger than a credit card, so that would be so nice. A unisex wallet, a wallet that holds bulky keys or has an outside key ring and of course one that holds a phone. There are so many types of wallets that I can't wait to learn how to do them. Wallets with those metal closures, snaps, no closure, roomy. Wristlet wallets would be awesome. Thanks so much for thinking of wallets for your next club.
Oh, Vanessa, you are so-o-o cute and inspiring. Thank you so much for all that you do to keep us excited about the things that we do. Please don't ever stop what you're doing !!
Sounds fun and practical too. I'd like a wallet with a wristlet strap to hold cell phone, a few credit cards and money....and dressy type material with bling for date night.
Omg, so excited!!! I personally prefer (faux) leather purses, to fabric ones...but LOVE the idea of a Wallet of the Month!!! I'll 100% be signing up. A wrislet wallet would be awesome too...something for cards, cash, cell...when you don't want to carry the whole purse.
I would love to see a wallet that is built in to a bag. That is what I currently use (Baggallini) that style bag and would be delighted if I was able to make my own.
Love ur tutorials. And saw the 2 videos on the tour of MSQC Due my health i cant travel there anymore. But seeing how Jenny has made Hamilton the place to go in the North . Was awesome.
Wallets are a great idea and something I have wanted to learn. I also like a see-thru slot for my driver's license and a zipper section for change that is easy to get to--my fingers are not as nimble. I usually carry about 10 cards in my wallet--not all credit but health, library, public transportation etc. My patchwork guild met last night and I was talking about how much I enjoy your ideas with another member. Wish we could get you to visit us in Bradenton, FL. Thanks so much.
I'm looking for a wallet that will keep all my credit card type"cards" in one place but that they are protected without being in a special sleeve. I don't really need a wallet to keep a checkbook in. Maybe a little cash & coin but that's not necessary. I'm definitely intrigued by what you have talked about and with what I saw. Can't wait to see the club.
ummm, i can't think of anything in particular but want to do this course! i would love to make something out of faux leather (or vinyl, et al). you're awesome!
Count me in!!! Would love to see, if you haven't thought about it, the addition of a checkbook slot... being able to use NCR (no-carbon-required) checks...
Can we make a wallet that holds passport, credit cards, and maybe even checkbook or a shopping list pad. Or a wallet to hold coupons in. I'm getting nervous and excited about this club.
I love your personality, teaching style and projects! Wish you had a clone you so you could teach me how to do clothing alterations and pattern adjustments : ) Thank you for your great tutorials!
This looks awesome Vanessa!!! I'd love to learn the clutch that we saw in the video. Also, a smaller wallet to fit in a smaller bag. A cute coin purse with the little metal frames. Zipper techniques would be great too. Thanks! :)
I'm looking for the RDIF (?) fabric style that blocks your chip style credit cards from being hacked while walking around in public. Not sure if it needs to be both front to back or can it be one sided to get proper coverage? The explanation of the fabric options would be awesome. Thanks...
I'd like a wallet with see-thru slot for my driver's license. It's always awkward to get the license out of the slot when required so a see-thru option is best for presenting it. Clear vinyl works great but tends to stick to the plastic on the license so my current wallet even has a small oval hole in the see-thru portion so I can push the license out of the slot if necessary. TIA!
Vanessa I love your idea. I have a pattern already and I was fixing to order some RIFD material which I'm defiantly using. But I'm excited to always learn new technique with you. So let's get going girl! lolI also love your hair it's so cute.Cheryl
Hey, love your videos and the range of tutorials! Would love to make a compact day-planner type of wallet- flatter than a clutch and easy to pack in a larger bag or backpack. Looking forward to making wallets 💚
I would love to do a men's wallet and a clutch style wallet that has room for everything including phone with an optional wrist strap or cross body strap.
When I make credit card slots using the doubled fabric method instead of using innerfacing I use spray starch or sizing on the material before cutting.I starch both sides pressing, not ironing, the fabric to avoid distortion. This gives the material some body and stiffness without adding bulk and makes a nice crisp folded edge. HINT: getting starch or sizing on the rest of the material can interfere with any interfacing fusing properly later on.
Did you upgrade your Juki machine to the DX7? I just got one a couple months ago and love it! Would love to see you do a thorough review on it to show the new features from the F600. It is a fabulous machine!
Vanessa, do you have a project/tutorial for (1) wallet - the one you're displaying in this video. Can't afford or need several wallets (of the month style). My leather wallet after 15 years has died. Time for something new and that one looks real nice with metal trim.
I would like to have a wallet with a strap that is long enough so I can use it as a cross body when I want to have my hands free. It would be nice if it also had an interchangeable wrist strap. Thank you.
These classes look great. Would love a wallet to hold passport and identiy card driving licence and travel documents so everything is together in one Place. Casn't wait to see more of what you have planed
Small wallet that will fit in your front pocket, including card slots and place for money. Typically considered s man's wallet but I use one in my front pocket to avoid carrying a purse. Thanks!
Love your videos and the wallet club sounds inviting, but I did notice a little oops. You are using a spool cap that is too small. You want one that fits the size spool you're using so the thread runs smoothly along the outside of the cap and not the spool, which can easily get caught up around your pin or the edge of the spool itself. With that said, in a pinch, I have used whatever I can find first without issue, but then there are times I slap my own hand when the tread becomes tangled or caught and then I'm sewing along only to jam up when the thread isn't feeding any longer. Also vertically wound spools of thread need to feed off the spool vertically and not horizontally due to twisting action. An accessory vertical spool pin or thread stand is your ticket. Your stitches will be so much better and prettier (especially if and when you are working with decorative threads). I'm not trying to be critical, just wanted to point this little detail out since you work a lot with beginners who are absorbing everything. Happy Stitches and Best Wishes.
My daughter was looking for something that she can keep different money in different parts... she goes to Canada often so she has both American and Canadian money. Any ideas?
Vanessa. You are the best teacher by far on UA-cam. You don't skip the important details and teach like you really care about the people on the other side of the screen. You have more than a knack for teaching.
Sweet and caring person. More school teachers need to have your companion and understanding.

Love that wallet you are showing

I would love to make wallets for the men in my life. They all seem to like very small ones to fit in their pocket. Thanks for the fun and inspiration.
You are a great teacher!
You are a wonderful teacher ....thank you , love love your hair !!
You are a gifted teacher. I have learned so much from you.
I really love your style of showing and explaining things. Sometimes I have to rewind (!) because you make it seem SO easy but thanks to technology it's no problem. Glad to hear it and thanks for your feedback! The beauty of video! ❤️
That's what I love about Vanessa's tutorials, too. I like that she's speedy and stays on track without rambling on and on.
The wallet idea is just right! As soon as your projects are finalized and the terms offered, I'm in!
Can you show us how to make an around the waist, or belt like, fanny-type of cellphone bag? Those are really in right now! I had never seen your videos before and I just saw you and wow! Those wallets sound fun and a great way to learn new techniques! Hope I can fit it in my budget!

I’ve been away for awhile. Your new “do” is very flattering😊.
I'm all ready for this!!! I would like to have a medium folding wallet with pockets and a snap closure. When you open it its full size for bills and on the inside are the credit card pockets but it can be carried in a smaller cross body bag without interfering with the zippers at the top.

I would love to make a wristlet wallet and an ID holder type wallet. Thanks so much Mama!! You rock!! Can't wait for the new club!!
A wallet like we did in the quilt club except using a zipper that extends around three edges. An attached wristlet would be awesome.
Sounds fun and practical too. I'd like a wallet with a wristlet strap to hold cell phone, a few credit cards and money....and dressy type material with bling for date night.

As always you are so good @ what you do.
I would love a video on how to sew a wristlet with a couple of credit card slots in it. 😀
Yes i can't wait thank you Vanessa.
I like the one you showed with the 18 credit card slots. I need that one. One of the slots should be see thru.
Sounds like fun. Love your hair.
Can you do these in a wristlet?
Awesome Vanessa!

I would like a wallet with some kind of adjustable closure so you can actually get it closed if it becomes thick with all your contents.
Love this idea Vanessa. I just have to finish my last 2 handbags fir8

I loved your idea and waiting for the bag project to come out
I will definitely sign up for this, Vanessa. I loved this sneak peek of the wallets...... Count me in!!
I love watching your videos! I was wondering if you have the instructions to make a zip around wallet or change purse?
ummm, i can't think of anything in particular but want to do this course! i would love to make something out of faux leather (or vinyl, et al). you're awesome!
I'd love a small credit card wallet with magnetic flap closure. Mine is wearing out. It's small enough to fit in my back jeans pocket.
Count me in!!! Would love to see, if you haven't thought about it, the addition of a checkbook slot... being able to use NCR (no-carbon-required) checks...
Sew looking forward to this project!
How about a 7inch wallet with a clasp closing
Can we make a wallet that holds passport, credit cards, and maybe even checkbook or a shopping list pad. Or a wallet to hold coupons in. I'm getting nervous and excited about this club.

what about RFID protection for our wallets?
Yes, Yes, Yes. This sounds like something I may be able to do and finish, is there a number of the pellon interfacting you used in this video? tia
Hi Vanessa, will you be doing a wallet in vinyl or leather?
Thank you for sharing.
Vanessa I love your idea. I have a pattern already and I was fixing to order some RIFD material which I'm defiantly using. But I'm excited to always learn new technique with you. So let's get going girl! lolI also love your hair it's so cute.Cheryl
Well I got the letters turned around. its RFID!

I would love to see a unisex bifold wallet. Simple. 1 slot on the left and 3 slots on the right side no zippers. Thank you,

This sounds great how do I sign up?.
Have you thought of using RFID for your interfacing?
do you know how to make the labels that go inside shirts, like the tags?
Did you upgrade your Juki machine to the DX7? I just got one a couple months ago and love it! Would love to see you do a thorough review on it to show the new features from the F600. It is a fabulous machine!

Like your videos. Very helpful. Thank you!
Great idea!! Would love to see a wallet containing places for pictures, change, dollar pockets. Thanks, Karen/Pickle
will you use Rfid electronic signal blocking fabrics on some?
Have you ever used RFID blocking fabric in credit card wallets?
Love you!!!! Can;t wait to do this :-D

Do you make a video tutorial of the bags on UA-cam?
+riley james hammond The Bag clubs are exclusive membership clubs that require payment.
These classes look great. Would love a wallet to hold passport and identiy card driving licence and travel documents so everything is together in one Place. Casn't wait to see more of what you have planed
Wanting know if we are supposed to get a confirmation, when we pay for the lessons?. Just worried about my credit card?.
You are good to go now, right? All payments are processed through secure payment processors.
Small wallet that will fit in your front pocket, including card slots and place for money. Typically considered s man's wallet but I use one in my front pocket to avoid carrying a purse. Thanks!
What are the measurements for the card slots?
Great news! I would love you to do a mans wallet too with a leaf inside that is see through and not too big that would fit into a trouser pocket😀
I, too, would like a phone wallet with a clear pocket for ID and an adjustable wrist strap! 😉

Great idea! Would love a wristlet for traveling with pockets that will hold my cell phone (in case), passport, etc. Looking forward to this club!
Maybe one with a changeable wristlet strap and a cross body strap. I take walks and like to take my phone and have my hands free.
