yeah, you know how i felt about topspin... and the wreckers in the movie in general weren't that appealing to me actually... i never got why they were hillbillies in the first place...LOL
this is actually the 4th set of movie verse wreckers i'd be getting rid off if i can sell them,
hasbro wreckers, takaratomy wreckers, dreamwave wreckers, and now these ss wreckers... seems to be a pattern right? definitely not liking these transformers hahahahahaha :-)
yeah, i noticed you've been reviewing quite a lot of stuff that i never thought you'd be interested with... maybe get rid of the non-100% stuff as fast as you can while a lot of collectors are still interested in getting them so you can still get good prices for them :-)

I think it is great seeing collectors post videos like this. It shows a lot about how people frequently collect things just collect them but lose sight of what they actually love. I've been where you are with a number of different things I collected over the years. I have been trying hard to get away from big collections. I have a seven 3rd party MP figures currently with one coming in December but I have set a hard limit of 16 (8 Autobots and 8 Decepticons) total for my collection. In setting hard limit I have to really consider which characters matter to me most then I spend a lot of time considering the different options that exist for these characters and which ones are well made, super poseable, fun to transform, and match the aesthetic I like for the character.
I have done a lot of scaling back over the years and I plan to do more. I absolutely love Transformers but I don't have a special affinity for many of the characters so for me it is just about deciding if a character that matters to me is out there that I like and if it is high enough quality to get. There are several characters I really like but so far there isn't an MP out there that will fill the spot. So I may never get to my self-imposed limit but I won't fill the spots I am saving for them just to fill them.

As a collector, I know how hard it is give these figures away. I was in that situation myself. Tried to keep some, held on to them for as long as I can. But had to unfortunately sell them all away due to troubling times. Except for the Universal Studio Megatron, those two gold Bumblebees 19 & 20, the 24 & 25 Bumblebee 2-pack, and the 15 Bumblebee with Charlie. Didn't have those. The WFC Trilogy is a similar story. But if I had to keep some, base on the figures that you have, these would have been the ones to stay. All is just my opinion, since Studio Series is a cool toyline.

-The Constructicons should stay as well. Rampage or Skipjack is up to you. But looks like Skipjack wins. If in the future you want to give away the Constructicons for third party versions, at least wait till the other third party figures of those guys are fully revealed. For Bumblebee, choice is yours. For Dropkick and Shatter, would recommend to keep the modes that looks better then the other. If you're getting rid of the Wreckers, at least keep Topspin. Since Studio Series will eventually make TLK version. So it could be a cool comparison and you can just rename it Twintwist and have the Jumpstarters. That's all just my opinion.

If you can't see the number, you can display the box to the side that didn't have the number. Great decision. You should keep starscream, no megatron without starscream, it's go the same with soundwave and shockwave. I prefer the movie 01 starscream over the tatto version. It's funny you still maintaining the sarcasm toward rotf soundwave figure. I like your channel, you are my favorite transformers toys reviewer, keep the good work.

what i did was put together figures that have a direct relationship with one another, that way the numbers are in complete disarray and i won't see the gaps

I'm glad that you got rid of so many, it's often a big relief to let go of such a BIG burden.
Me personally, I would always aim for the leanest, most efficient collection possible so I hope that you get rid of even more if for no other reason than to make room for the figures that are to come.
I hope that after you sit and think for awhile you can do another video of what you decide to do with the remaining figures as well as those that are 100% right now.

@@chefatron I'm only new to the scene, but from what I'm seeing Scrapmetal was released last year and hasn't been reissued since his first initial release. Fast forward to a year later when I searched for him the first time he is hard to come by now unfortunately... I hear Hasbro is not that great for doing reissues.

Its a good thing you're doing this , I myself have been getting ride of or replacing a lot of older figure and making the wfc trilogy my main collection because I'm for one getting tired of buying the same characters over and over so the wfc and ss are my last time , I buy a lot of figures and I only buy the same character if I need to replace it or is an better update to the figure I already have .

That is a really solid lineup of 100%.. If I were you, I'd keep everybody from the middle row, because Grimlock (he has an upgrade kit that elevates the figure), Blitzwing, Ironhide, Sideswipe (on his case, you should wait for the upcoming ROTF Sideswipe, to decide whether you'll keep the DOTM one), Car Dropkick and Jet Shatter are all really good figures. If you're considering on keeping Ratchet and Jazz (I think you should), then I'd sugest keeping Brawl, Bonecrusher and Barricade at least from the ones on the left pile (and at least one of the DOTM Megatrons)

Seems to me what triggered this was that ss Devastator the complete pack that was going to be issued ! Lol ,well all collectors go through this . We purge for many reasons but mostly for balance in our collection. Keep your favorites and no regrets ! Thanks for the video !

@@chefatron I keep those 3 in their vehicle modes for display. Don't really care for the Bayverse overly detailed robot designs. I do see your point about Topspin. His bendy plastic parts could have been done so much better and just look cheap. Their car modes are beautiful though imo. I have too many bills to pay. I'm strictly only buying updates on classic G1 characters until I win the lotto.

Sucks when you work hard on a collection just to purge but at the same time between the vast amount you have and the amount you have coming in to review plus 'rona it makes sense to get rid of some. I used to be a 100% person but between space, having kids, and other things i personally kept only what I absolutely love.

Good call on keeping the constructions. You see, I know your a Revenge Of The Fallen fan more then the other movies like me! And because Revenge of the fallen has you know, the main ones like optimus, Jetfire, devastator, megatron, and starscream ect. This is going to be hard for you selling all these figures, but it’s for the great or good lol. Especially those upgrade jugs from DNA, it usually makes the figures a thousand times better, but yea like I said remember that you can just go with a specific movie because then you won’t have the correct characters when you sell the others from other movies, sure you can keep some others like Sentinal and others to have a good collection, so that’s cool. Anyway thanks for reading!

Me personally would've kept all the ones who had some great screen time in all the movies. So yeah the main AutoBots like Jazz, Ratchet, Ironhide, Sideswipe, Jetfire, AOE Drift, Grimlock and Cliffjumper I would keep. For Deceptacons I would keep would be Movie 1 Megatron and Starscream, Barricade, DOTM Soundwave, Blackout, Bonecrusher, The Constructicons, Shockwave, Sentinel Prime, Lockdown, Dropkick and Shatter in car form. Optimus Primes would be ROTF Prime that combines with Jetfire and The Bumblebee Prime. Then for Bumblebee since there were so many I would keep beater Camaro Bee, The Last Knight Bee and VW Bee. I'm surprised there hasn't been a Studio Series Hound, Crosshairs yet too when there is a Dino and Cybertronian Bee on the way next.

May I please suggest that you keep the saw accessory of the Revenge of the Fallen Starscream and sell the rest? It does devalue a bit but you’ll get to have the better figure of the first movie and both the accessories.

This video messed me up lol. Can't believe some of the figures that went into the left "sell" pile. Those Wreckers are sweet, especially if you paint Topspin's floppy guns with a gun metal silver coating. And copter Dropkick, although not movie accurate, is such a fun Transformer. But I respect your decisions, even though they are killing me lol

Well done, mate. I think you've made the right decision for you. I did the same recently and made about £1000 on ebay. Half the money went on the mortgage and half went back into my collection. The beauty about collecting Transformers is that there is always something awesome coming out around the corner. I gave up trying to be a completest years ago and apart from filling some of the gaps in my G1 collection, I just buy modern figures that really sing to me, in my case I love the weirder stuff like the Seacons, Terrorcons ,Horrorcons and Monsterbots etc. Quality over quantity my friend.
