Arslan really wanted this evo, he didn't even enter at the kof xv tournament.
Because he learned a very important lesson. Before this tournament he was struggling against Knee and many others because he spent a lot of time focusing on getting better at Street Fighter 6. When he plays or focuses on 2 games, that nerfs his Tekken 7 tournament form. Before this tournament, he aimed to only focus on Tekken 7.

most dangerous player in fighting games. yeah maybe he only plays the one title on the big stage but his domination is unquestionable. it's not just that he wins, it's how he wins.

I already saw that Arslan got Ao's Kuni number by the end of the previous set even though that was a close set. Ao would have had a better chance with any other character than Kuni because there was no way beating him in a mirror match.

im kind of lost on this one since im busy but can you guys tell me what happen to knee ?
Knee lost to joey fury in winners bracket in early stages (day 2 of evo) and then in the losers bracket knee lost to Farzeen (pakistani) who was playing his first evo (farzeen came 13th in the end)
Knee was playing heihachi against farzeen's akuma.. knee lost 2-0 in the end.. a sad way to pave goodbye to tekken 7 i guess.
Glad it was a Kuni mirror match. If Kuni had played against any other character, haters would have talked about Kuni and not how to appreciate the player when it's available for everyone.

I know that not everybody is dogging on Ao for losing this one because they understand how incredible Arslan is, but to anyone who is dogging on Ao or saying that this set sucked, don't forget that Ao would absolutely whup all up on you in a set. Everyone on that stage would. Ao did a fantastic job making it to 2nd place at Evo, that's no small task. It's just that Arslan is that much better than everybody else at Tekken. Out of context, there's nothing exciting at all about this set, but remembering that these were the two best players at the tournament and watching Arslan absolutely have his way with the second best player there, that's a lot better. It had to be done. Arslan is top dog and this set was a reminder of that. Talk about this set when your Tekken friends who haven't started watching LANs yet ask you who the best is.

I might be delusional but it's crazy that Arslan doesn't have a true fanbase outside of Pakistan. Of course in this case he's up against the home favourite but not only in this case, because when I watched his highlights, his opponent always receives more cheer and support from the crowd compared to him. Am I trippin' or is there's an underlying reason for it?

@Hamza-jn8dj basically. Zafina wasn't even considered that good until Arslan Ash began doing well with her, she had unknown good potential. Then Arslan realized that Kuni is better as just about everything Zafina has and picked her up to win easier. Chanel is decent but not as good. Arslan is just a better player, but you don't see Chanel using Alisa anymore who use to be his main. He's all Eliza and Kuni now and everyone knows both of those characters are bullshit.
