Excellent teardown--I am thrilled to see that these new screw covers allow you to pass a screwdriver straight through them to remove. That's amazing forward-thinking from Hasbro (and a sigh of relief after dealing with the ones on the Neutrona Wand). Thank you so much for the video!
Yeah, they confused me to start with - but just fantastic - they look like rivets or hex bolts on first glance - but a great way to disguise a standard screw. I'm impressed with this one - I know (talking to Zach from Hasbro) that they had modders in mind! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for answering my question about the hose diameter! Lmao after I saw that I was LITERALLY just going to comment "would it be possible to replace the switch" then the very next thing you said was about the switch.
I've seen so many people asking what are the measurements for screen used traps and throwers and such. Someone said Hasbro has access to the screen used props, so technically measuring their stuff will give you pretty close to screen used stuff I'd imagine.
I wonder what happens when you use one red rod, and one silver rod. I expect it does something easter-eggy... the fact that there are two micro switches, not just one seems like a clue.
After watching the video, the only question I have is how well the handle is attached to the trap. I see three screws in your video, two on the side for the handle and one in the middle for the spring mechanism I believe, but other then that I don't see much. With you having it taken it apart, how well fitted is the handle? Do you think it's a weak point on the trap we might need to keep an eye on when on busy convention floors or heavy use? Thank you so much for taking it apart though, this will help the community loads. (I'm not planning on doing on modding work on the trap myself, this all looks already too complex for me.)
Thanks for the question - it seems well attached to me - but like the man build it is plastic - seems to be held with two screws to the main body. There is some slight movement when picking up the trap but not much. If you dropped the trap and the handle took the brunt of the fall it could break as the trap is heavy. But it seems sturdy to me.
How does the foot pedal work? Gonna be modifying mine to be closer to my reimagining where a Motorcycle throttle switch is used instead of a foot pedal. I wanna know If im able to move the pedal button into a throttle switch?
I’m sure you can - didn’t get this far taking it apart - but I’m assuming it’s a simple switch - it’s probably ‘momentary’ as it both opens and closes the trap!
I don't mind the switch design but that red LED cover does make it look cheap. I may try to model and 3d print my own in clear resin with the ribbed look of the real light.
@@Creative-Geekery I founds good images or some real lights and it shouldn't be hard to model something the right size for the 2-in-1 but just adding the wavy pattern on the inside. Just waiting to receive my 2-in-1 next week so I can take accurate measurements of the part. I was also thinking of designing panels that match the inside of the trap but for the underside of the trap doors. I know that look wise it would be better but I need to test if adding any weight to the doors prevent them from working properly.
it should.. when the doors are closed and the lights light up from the inside you can see the lights from the middle gap when the doors are closed. that tells me smoke will come out through the gap.

You're a much braver man than I😅
Great video, by the way 👏
lol thanks! Appreciate it!
Thanks for the great tear down video Matt!
Glad you liked it!
Well done! I can’t wait to get mine and tear it apart!
Good luck! Enjoy
One thing I’ve learned from this video. Don’t open up the ghost trap. 😂 thanks for making post on these so the modding community can get to work 👍
LOL - yeah I was thinking the same thing half way though! You are most welcome :)
THANK YOU for showing me how to remove the wheels as requested on the other video!!!!!!!
You're welcome!
Very thankful for this! Gonna make modding easier, cause I actually know where stuff is.
Glad it was helpful! Happy modding!

lol - all good and you are very welcome!
Great video brother as usual. Can't wait to get my kit.
Glad you enjoyed it! Hope you get yours soon!
@@Creative-Geekery It shipped very excited.
Awesome and I agree this is very interesting 🧐
Glad you found it interesting! 😊
braver man than me, I'd be scared to tear down mine incase I broke it, but I am gonna keep an eye on modders to see what people do to it
Lol - thanks! It's really well put together - and well designed to mod.
I received the shipping mail, i can t wait
Yay! Great News!!!!
Hi Matt! I’m in jersey for a few more days but I’m leaving on Monday
I've seen so many people asking what are the measurements for screen used traps and throwers and such. Someone said Hasbro has access to the screen used props, so technically measuring their stuff will give you pretty close to screen used stuff I'd imagine.
Yeah, that makes sense to me - would love to put this side by side with a screen used prop!
Any plans on tearing down the PKE meter next? Would love to see how everything works inside and see how mod friendly (if at all) it is
I have to admit - the idea does scare me a bit - I’m toying with it 😂
@@Creative-Geekery well if curiosity gets the best of ya, be sure to film it for all of us to see!
@@Sleikis lol - Will do
Here’s a question for the P.K.E meter: Can you activate the taser while in EMF mode or can it only work in normal mode?
Both modes 😊
Thanks and that’s so cool it works in both modes.
I wonder what happens when you use one red rod, and one silver rod. I expect it does something easter-eggy... the fact that there are two micro switches, not just one seems like a clue.
Interesting I’ll try it!
My biggest complaint is that the handle doesn't seem so strong? I'd love to swap out the wheels for maybe something lighter.
Understandable… the trap is heavy!
You missed the PKE change in function after you hold down the lower two buttons
I’ll check this out! And thanks!
Great video. The audio on my trap is very low. You can only hear when you put your ear to the speaker. Any suggestions on why or how to fix it?
you can adjust the volume with the small dial on the right-hand side of the trap :)
@@Creative-Geekery It's turned all the way up. No change

@ExperienceExplorers So in other words, handle with care like you handle the rest of your GB stuff.
Thank you for answering my question ❤️
@@RyuAuhuo Yep - you are most welcome :)
What's the quality of the EMF detector and is it easy to swap it out for a more High quality one.
It seems very sensitive - but hard to know in a house full of EMF interference. Not sure about swapping it.

Just got mine today. Maybe im missing something . My PKE meeter only makes sound in taser mode. Any tips ? :)
Glad you have it! Check the silver switch under the display is pushed to the left or right - the middle setting is mute.
You should open up the pke meter I want to see how complicated thw parts look like on the inside
Yeah - l might have a go - that one is sure to be more 'delicate' :)
@@Creative-Geekeryok thanks!
Have you tried testing smoke effects? I’m concerned that with the doors closed the smoke won’t seep through the doors.
it should.. when the doors are closed and the lights light up from the inside you can see the lights from the middle gap when the doors are closed. that tells me smoke will come out through the gap.
My smoke machine does not fit - been working on a smoke machine build that will. As soon as I do I’ll share 😊
Since nobody is going to ask.. Are the Wings easily replaceable on the PKE?
I doubt it, the pop mechanism used to change them into taser mode would be difficult to replace or mod.
Not sure yet - it might be hard.
I look forward to see if anyone is going to put a real emf reader in the pke
There is an emf meter in it
@biagdoesstuf yeah but not a strong one
