I just got into nfl this year and I chose the bills as my favorite team, which came with many disappointments leading into the bye week, but man has it been fun these last 5 weeks. My nephew is 22 years old and a diehard Bills fan. Before the playoff drought ended in 2017 he lived his entire life with the Bills through mediocre to bad football. He said to me one day back in 2016 “I wish I was alive when the Bills were good”. Even as a Bills fan, we know how you feel.
The Dolphins might be better off losing this game to Buffalo. If they had won, they would be playing Buffalo at home. I think they have a better chance against the Chiefs at Arrowhead

I simply dont know how this team has picked up loyal fans in the past 20 years like youself when its been one joke after another in QB's, coaches and awful GM decisions (Drew Brees..). I love your passion and you are correct on everything - McD knows how to beat the lower rung teams but has been out coached on every playoff level game this season and Tua needs to be able to make an audible. If we cant put it together next year its back to the drawing board..

It's not fair to think like that about the Titans game. The Bills shouldn't have lost to the Patriots, Jets, Jaguars, Bengals, Broncos, or Eagles because they were the better team in every single one of these games. Look Buffalo would have been undefeated and than this game wouldn't have mattered. The only reason Miami had such a good record is because of the soft schedule which wasn't so soft during final stretch. Miami is just not on the same level as Buffalo.
Jaguars: team was sleep walking the first half, terrible situation to have a home game against a team that sees London as home and was already acclimated. Bengals: Could have gone either way but without that Dalton Kincaid fumbles we probably win. Eagles: Definitely deserved to win but it's not insane that the Eagles pulled it off. Broncos, Jets, and Patriots were dumbfounding.,

As a Bills fan I feel your pain. At least your franchise has won it all…maybe not in your lifetime, but the Fins owned the Bills for many years. I think Shula was the best coach all time. I do feel that the current edition of the Fins is too showy for their own good. I watched some of the Hard Knocks coverage and didn’t feel like they took things very seriously.

Fandom isn't something you're born with. It's not like brown eyes. Changing your fandom isn't hard at all. I understand the want to be a loyal fan, but what sense does that make? Bills fan here with unsolicited 2 cents: 1. If you move on from Tua, Hill is gone unless the replacement is an established QB bc he won't put up with a rookie - and then you might as well tear it all down and rebuild since Hill clearly makes or breaks your offense as McD has designed it. I agree with you that you don't have any better options than Tua right now. I think he has potential but i truly don't think McD is the right head coach to get the best out of him. 2. McD's quirkiness gets annoying very quickly when the results aren't there. I don't know if he has the killer instinct to pull a team over the finish line.
Yeah I'm not 100% sold on getting rid of McDaniel either though. He did unlock the offence's potential under Tua but he does still make terrible decisions like when he abandoned the run game on Sunday. After living through Gase and Flores he's a vast improvement and it's still his second year but I think ownership needs to light a fire under him to fix these mistakes.
Dude I total agree with everything you said I wish this team can make something happen I was hoping for Mike McDaniel to just stand their in the locker room and congratulate the defense except for the return then look at tua and walk out so that he sends a message and hopefully will make him stop being a hit or miss player and do what he came to the league to do. You're in Buffalo as a Miami Dolphins fan. Trust me it's harder being in Miami as a BILLS fan. I've been a fan from the 60s. OJ era too. 4 super bowl losses and everything in between. Here's some advice given to me by Jim Kelly (respect to Jim) it's a game. They get paid millions and have an off-season . Can you say the same? Relax, sir, enjoy your friends and family, and just watch football. NFL is a business presented to us as a game. Chill out.😅
@johnhofer7281 Jim Kelly didn't miss the chip shot field goal. Buffalo was out coached. Bill Parcells told his team before the game, "if we try to match Kelly and offense, we don't stand a chance" his plan was eat the clock and keep Kelly of the field to have a chance. It worked.
I am glad that there are people who still staying strong and hoping for Miami. I was a fan from way back (70s) but it is pretty hard to support a team as horrible as Miami. This franchise is one of the worst in all sports. When you consider how long it has been since they won a playoff game or how infrequently they even appear in the playoffs, it is a bit sobering. Good grief, nearly 50% of all teams make it into the playoffs, so it isn't a hard feat. The fact that this team soils itself whenever an opportunity arises, isn't exactly inspiring. They will likely lose to KC and one has to start wondering what would it take to turn this franchise around. Tua is not worth big money, he has literally blown every big game this year. McDaniel seems too weak and erratic to make this team into a championship team. When McDaniel chose to kneel the ball instead of make history against Denver, I knew that he was a chump with no killer instinct. I wish Miami fans the best of luck but it is best to lower your expectations.
Personally I didn't have an issue with kneeling the ball there. Getting too cocky and going for the record would've probably come back to bite them in worse ways. But I agree that Tua and McDaniel as they are aren't getting this team anywhere

He can definitely coach a good offence and he's led the team to back to back playoff appearances for the first time in my life.But after Sunday when he abandoned the run game and just didn't seem to care I really don't know what to think of him. Plus how many speeches can you give on using adversity to help you before it becomes ineffective?

I hear you. I started following the Dolphins from 78. Days of Don Strock, Jimmy Ceffalo before Marino. Not easy to take the loss especially against the Bills. Not easy. Was mad after the game but. Look at the talent Josh Allen has and Miami now goes out and try for another QB. Tua fish is not it. Also McDaniels fault to.Not adjusting to the 2nd half In playing roll outs for Tua to buy time to throw the football.
Diehard Phins fan. I don’t think we ever had a shot at winning b2b on the bills. If we wanted to make any noise in the playoffs this was the only logical path. Jags loss really took the wind out of our sails. It put us in a tough spot Sunday night. As for Tua, we roll into the 5th year without a contract with him and we delay the choice for another year. We also then monitor the QB draft prospects this coming draft and potentially the next depending on how next year goes. Final thing I’ll say is that we seem a bit too relaxed sometimes and that has to be partly because of the 70 we hung on Denver, but we lost the division when we coughed up that game against the Titans
I think we had a better shot at home. The team has been terrible on the road this year and it's supposed to be around 0F in KC. I really hope Tua can clean up his mistakes because he has the potential to lead us back to the promised land if he does.
In a one game scenario I agree we’re better off at home. But Buffalo seems to me to be much better than Kansas City right now. And even if we did win the division on Sunday night. I don’t see how we could possibly have turned around and beat the bills again. I just can’t get past that because I know we weren’t gonna win b2b against bills even in Miami. In retrospect we couldn’t even get the front end of the possible b2b for us to play bills again. Just wasn’t in the cards for us after the Titans collapse in my opinion. Jags losing against Titans also really took the wind out of our sails. It went from potentially eliminating Buffalo with a jags win to you win to have to play them again. It was just a terrible break that we earned ultimately by fumbling away the titans game.
You need to re-calibrate your expectations.....We started the season with a grand total of 3 starting caliber O-lineman, all of which are injured to some extent, 2 of our starters wouldn't make a practice squad if we cut them and our backups are turnstiles on skates. We have to get rid of the ball within 2.5 seconds or our QB will get murdered (I don't even know if we have a backup), despite the fact that no teams blitz against us and we average 6 blockers per snap against a 3 or 4 man rush. There's a zero percent chance we can compete against even decent teams (i.e. Tennessee) with a line so bad we need a whole game plan to mitigate it. We have a roster built for Madden, not real life.

When they moved to Dallas, I continued to like them. I liked the Eagles since the early 80s because I liked Dick Vermeil and Ron Jaworski. I liked Buddy Ryan and Randal Cunningham even more after that
The way to fix the Miami Dolphins offense is to trade up fast and hard for Caleb Williams - USC. Marino had great numbers too - never won anything. The only stat that matters is the score. Tua's had a hip surgery and three concussions. He can't call an audible, he's not agile, he can't see beyond first receiver, and he's leaving receivers wide open because he's too busy throwing in terror. There's not much you can do with him. It's time to move on.....
Tua definitely isn't going to want to leave. You can tell he loves it here but I feel like with the current roster is better to stick with him again that roll the dice on a rookie with a win now roster

I'm a former resident of western New York and have been going Bills games since I was about 10 years old. I can remember a time when the Bills went 0 for an entire decade against the Dolphins and lost 4 straight super bowls. I probably just gave away my age , but who cares. I'm still waiting for a super bowl victory and don't know if it will ever happen. I think a lot of these games are fixed. I really do. So don't let all this shit get to you so much. It's not so much your roster, but I really think McDaniel is just too raw a coach and his style of coaching is not right for this team. If Sean McDermott was your coach this team never would of choked a 3 game lead. That disaster you had in Miami is 100% on Mcdaniel not keeping the Miami players focused. Miami has a tendency to lose focus at inopportune times, that's a lack of discipline, and that's 100% on how McDaniel coaches. Tua may learn and grow to be a good QB, but I think you've guys have seen enough to know he's not a franchise QB. Yes Allen turns the ball over more than he should, but his upside and intangibles are far more above Tuas skill set. In a nutshell and IMO, McDaniel really isn't the right coach for your team. Also you have to have quality depth to absorb injuries. McDermott is a master at developing depth, McDaniel in time has to learn his craft as a HC. It's not an overnight process. McDermott had 16 years of experience before Buffalo hired him, McDaniel is no where near experienced enough to be a HC.
Look at how he struggled behind that line and with those weapons. Instead of potentially ruining him wouldn't it be better to let him sit behind someone till the offense around him improves?

Yes but I'm pretty sure it's still only the 4th appearance in my lifetime. They won the division in 2008 and made it in as a Wildcard in 2016. I was technically around in 2000 and 2001 but I was too young to even know what football was so I don't count it.
His top WR his rookie year was Devante Parker and he was still winning. He's got the arm and accuracy but he's lacking in decision making in key situations right now
That's the issue I have with his decision making. He has proven multiple times he can throw an accurate deep ball though. I think he's trying to play hero ball too much

Arm strength doesn't change with the opponent. If you can throw deep against one team you can do it against anyone. Whether that pass connects depends on coaching, decision making and route running all of which have been the issue

1. If you move on from Tua, Hill is gone unless the replacement is an established QB bc he won't put up with a rookie - and then you might as well tear it all down and rebuild since Hill clearly makes or breaks your offense as McD has designed it. I agree with you that you don't have any better options than Tua right now. I think he has potential but i truly don't think McD is the right head coach to get the best out of him.
2. McD's quirkiness gets annoying very quickly when the results aren't there. I don't know if he has the killer instinct to pull a team over the finish line.

Yeah I'm not 100% sold on getting rid of McDaniel either though. He did unlock the offence's potential under Tua but he does still make terrible decisions like when he abandoned the run game on Sunday. After living through Gase and Flores he's a vast improvement and it's still his second year but I think ownership needs to light a fire under him to fix these mistakes.

Here's some advice given to me by Jim Kelly (respect to Jim) it's a game. They get paid millions and have an off-season . Can you say the same? @johnhofer7281 Jim Kelly didn't miss the chip shot field goal. Buffalo was out coached. Bill Parcells told his team before the game, "if we try to match Kelly and offense, we don't stand a chance" his plan was eat the clock and keep Kelly of the field to have a chance. It worked.

I am glad that there are people who still staying strong and hoping for Miami. I was a fan from way back (70s) but it is pretty hard to support a team as horrible as Miami. This franchise is one of the worst in all sports. When you consider how long it has been since they won a playoff game or how infrequently they even appear in the playoffs, it is a bit sobering. Good grief, nearly 50% of all teams make it into the playoffs, so it isn't a hard feat. The fact that this team soils itself whenever an opportunity arises, isn't exactly inspiring. They will likely lose to KC and one has to start wondering what would it take to turn this franchise around. Tua is not worth big money, he has literally blown every big game this year. McDaniel seems too weak and erratic to make this team into a championship team. When McDaniel chose to kneel the ball instead of make history against Denver, I knew that he was a chump with no killer instinct. I wish Miami fans the best of luck but it is best to lower your expectations.
Personally I didn't have an issue with kneeling the ball there. Getting too cocky and going for the record would've probably come back to bite them in worse ways. But I agree that Tua and McDaniel as they are aren't getting this team anywhere

He can definitely coach a good offence and he's led the team to back to back playoff appearances for the first time in my life.But after Sunday when he abandoned the run game and just didn't seem to care I really don't know what to think of him. Look at the talent Josh Allen has and Miami now goes out and try for another QB. Tua fish is not it. Also McDaniels fault to.Not adjusting to the 2nd half In playing roll outs for Tua to buy time to throw the football.

Diehard Phins fan. I don’t think we ever had a shot at winning b2b on the bills. If we wanted to make any noise in the playoffs this was the only logical path. Jags loss really took the wind out of our sails. It put us in a tough spot Sunday night. As for Tua, we roll into the 5th year without a contract with him and we delay the choice for another year. We also then monitor the QB draft prospects this coming draft and potentially the next depending on how next year goes. Final thing I’ll say is that we seem a bit too relaxed sometimes and that has to be partly because of the 70 we hung on Denver, but we lost the division when we coughed up that game against the Titans
I think we had a better shot at home. The team has been terrible on the road this year and it's supposed to be around 0F in KC. I really hope Tua can clean up his mistakes because he has the potential to lead us back to the promised land if he does.
In a one game scenario I agree we’re better off at home. But Buffalo seems to me to be much better than Kansas City right now. And even if we did win the division on Sunday night. I don’t see how we could possibly have turned around and beat the bills again. I just can’t get past that because I know we weren’t gonna win b2b against bills even in Miami. In retrospect we couldn’t even get the front end of the possible b2b for us to play bills again. Just wasn’t in the cards for us after the Titans collapse in my opinion. Jags losing against Titans also really took the wind out of our sails. It went from potentially eliminating Buffalo with a jags win to you win to have to play them again. It was just a terrible break that we earned ultimately by fumbling away the titans game.

You need to re-calibrate your expectations.....We started the season with a grand total of 3 starting caliber O-lineman, all of which are injured to some extent, 2 of our starters wouldn't make a practice squad if we cut them and our backups are turnstiles on skates. We have to get rid of the ball within 2.5 seconds or our QB will get murdered (I don't even know if we have a backup), despite the fact that no teams blitz against us and we average 6 blockers per snap against a 3 or 4 man rush. There's a zero percent chance we can compete against even decent teams (i.e. Tennessee) with a line so bad we need a whole game plan to mitigate it. We have a roster built for Madden, not real life.

When they moved to Dallas, I continued to like them. I liked the Eagles since the early 80s because I liked Dick Vermeil and Ron Jaworski. I liked Buddy Ryan and Randal Cunningham even more after that
The way to fix the Miami Dolphins offense is to trade up fast and hard for Caleb Williams - USC. Marino had great numbers too - never won anything. The only stat that matters is the score. Tua's had a hip surgery and three concussions. He can't call an audible, he's not agile, he can't see beyond first receiver, and he's leaving receivers wide open because he's too busy throwing in terror. There's not much you can do with him. It's time to move on.....
But who do you replace him with? There's no available QB that can immediately take over a win now team

I know a little bit about pain myself. I'm a former resident of western New York and have been going Bills games since I was about 10 years old. I can remember a time when the Bills went 0 for an entire decade against the Dolphins and lost 4 straight super bowls. I probably just gave away my age , but who cares. I'm still waiting for a super bowl victory and don't know if it will ever happen. I think a lot of these games are fixed. I really do. So don't let all this shit get to you so much. It's just a stupid game. 😊

It's not so much your roster, but I really think McDaniel is just too raw a coach and his style of coaching is not right for this team. If Sean McDermott was your coach this team never would of choked a 3 game lead. That disaster you had in Miami is 100% on Mcdaniel not keeping the Miami players focused. Miami has a tendency to lose focus at inopportune times, that's a lack of discipline, and that's 100% on how McDaniel coaches. Tua may learn and grow to be a good QB, but I think you've guys have seen enough to know he's not a franchise QB. Yes Allen turns the ball over more than he should, but his upside and intangibles are far more above Tuas skill set. In a nutshell and IMO, McDaniel really isn't the right coach for your team. Also you have to have quality depth to absorb injuries. McDermott is a master at developing depth, McDaniel in time has to learn his craft as a HC. It's not an overnight process. McDermott had 16 years of experience before Buffalo hired him, McDaniel is no where near experienced enough to be a HC.

Yes but I'm pretty sure it's still only the 4th appearance in my lifetime. They won the division in 2008 and made it in as a Wildcard in 2016. I was technically around in 2000 and 2001 but I was too young to even know what football was so I don't count it.

His top WR his rookie year was Devante Parker and he was still winning. He's got the arm and accuracy but he's lacking in decision making in key situations right now

Arm strength doesn't change with the opponent. If you can throw deep against one team you can do it against anyone. Whether that pass connects depends on coaching, decision making and route running all of which have been the issue
