LED looks better a lot. You should keep both on display for customers/dreamers to choose and make a lot of money like billions of dollars for selling LEDs in pinballs
Well, if I were to reap some rewards for pushing LED's I probably would. but both Xenon's are gone now
I’d play the LED Xenon first but if I was to play for an extended period of time I’d want the incandescent. I love LEDs but they mess with my eyes.
I would probably change the stadium color lighting myself
The custom Xenon looks great and all, but I’d have to go with the original every time. Games like these are well before my time, personally, but I’m still a stickler for things being the way they were supposed to be. Also, the modified one bathes everything in the same colour and the detail is lost. It reminds me of looking at the Pin.Bot conversion for the NES...
Yeah I know what you mean I'm 23 and my introduction to pinball has been through Stern's The Pinball Arcade game and Visual Pinball but I do agree that while i like the fact that the LEDs use less electricity and are overall cheaper to maintain. From my research it seems that the most common LED to use for replacing the old 44s are frosted retro comet 1-2smd with frosted diffuser; a warmer SMD(surface mound diode) bulb is only a marginally brighter than a GE 44 filament but with the added benefit they last longer and draws way less power. I cant think of any off the top of my head but there's at least some 70s SS and EM games that would look good with superbrites on them but they're few an far between and really only work IMHO for 80s pins and higher.
