To be honest it feel like the tower raid is a "hellraid dlc" but in worst : - It doesn't bring any new ennemies ( the caster/mage , the shielded skeleton , the minautor and the others ). - It doesn't add any news weapons or so it seems ( the medieval style was awesome in my opinion ). - Or even any new types of tools like the "crystal shard" or the two wands that where kind of funny but hard to understand how it work ( plus tools and potion had new skin ). - A run is finished way faster than hellraid. - There was optionnal challenge where you needed to use your movement ability ( even in the normal part of the dungeon you had more room to move , here in the tower its only flat level that doesn't require to use special ability. - The firearm make the run way to easy , in fact the equipement that you bring make the entire process way to easy because you just need to stack ammo and tools and you are ready to go ( feels like playing doom but only with the trash mob in close evironment , pretty anticlimatic if you ask me ). - Some room had special prerequisite that unlock ONLY when you finished the wave of monster. - In fact you shall be able to enter the "raid" and use only what you find in it to make it really challenging. In comparaison the Tower raid is short and doesn't need you to really use your character at it's maximum ( or even too unlock some ability or NR tools to reach some "secret" room or hidden level ) and it's nor even like Hellraid where you could literrally go with a fresh character and maxed yor combat and parcour skill trees ( yep it did it just because i wanted to play with the cool looking weapon from the dlc during a new run ( not my first ) ). For the conclusion i would say that for now ( there is more to come as seen in the dev post for the update ) it is lacking in many aspect and doesn't reach to the level of hellraid right now the only similarity is that they are both quite repetitive and people hated hellraid for that.

Mostly I just appreciate a new method to getting fire-arms- Though I think more unique challenges would be nice, parkour, stealth, etc. It would also be nice if the difficulty varied by player number, stats and gear.
The rewards are pretty lackluster, I kinda wish they gave us something new like new armor to soothe both players with no exotic gear and people with stacks of exotics

I had a few ideas in mind that I think would make the tower raids better: - Different floor types, instead of fighting zombies to get through every floor, why not have some parkour floors where you need to jump, swing and climb your way to the next elevator. Would be a nice change of pace for one of the floors. Some puzzles scattered throughout different floors could be nice as well. - A final boss for the final floor instead of the really long survival defence mission at the end - Have an optional mode to do the tower raid starting with a basic loadout of gear, instead you have to hunt for better gear yourself to become strong enough to defeat the tower raid. - An obvious one but, better rewards. Would be cool to see some raid exclusive gear that is actually worth going for. Just some ideas I had that in my opinion would make the tower raids a lot better. They have a decent game mode here but it needs a lot more depth to it and replay value. But we will see how the next few weeks of beta go. I just hope the full version is a lot better lol.

I think the mode is kinda fine but yeah I can agree on the rooftop fight is kinda not what I was expecting as I was thinking it will be some kind of a big boss fight like imagine a DOOM Eternal final boss fight like. Each floor's area is too tight so there is not really much you can do except go back to the open room again. I don't feel the parkour utilization at all, I hope they will do a floor where you have to do actual parkouring to get to the next floor and not just all fight. I mean, getting chased by 10 volatile so you must run to get to the end sounds fun right? LOL Else than that, I think why Tower Raid progress is slow becuz they fully focused on DLC2 more while Tower Raid is like a project they do in smaller size of team
Ngl, i dont expect anything to be really good in the new update like the tower raid beta. Yes, the rooms are tighter, a lot of zombies. The mode still has a promise. Good thing i got the glitched weapons and finishwd earlier.
In the future, I hope they add wayyy more floors per playthrough (maybe like 6-9, in single player and like 12-16 in multi player), I also hope there are some broken parkour only floors that have banners you can slide on, poles you can swing on, etc... This could also be a good opportunity to introduce a zombie that can crawl on walls and ceilings, and they could grab your leg like in the E3 demo. Just some ideas i would like.
Tower Raid should be like Devil may Cry's Bloody Palace mode or Heavenly Tower from Battle Cats (if anyone is familiar with that game) with a random assortment of enemies and actual GOOD rewards like weapon charms, progress toward any of the vendors, or maybe give us a way to earn DL points by completing challenges within the tower
When I think of a multi-story building, it would be cool to have zombies that have stayed there for a long time and are different and stronger, that gives the player a feeling of discovery and fear at the same time, and the place itself shows how old it is. and lifeless, it needs to give a similar feeling to when we explore the buildings in The Last of Us, I know it's a beta, but it gives off an empty vibe like the rest of Dying Light 2
I think that for tower raid to succeed there needs to be a lot of variety. More objectives, more varied floor layouts with evironmental dangers and parkour and there needs to be loadouts like in the harper missions that you can choose from so you can't just steamroll everyone with easter egg weapons. The floors themselves are lacking a lot of detail, they look too clean for a building filled with infected tens of years after the apocalypse. I guess that's why it's a beta because it sure feels like it.
I think they should make some changes when you go to the wheel to change accesories because it always stops your game and its not sensative so if you accidently equipped a grenade andd you thought it was a uv flare and you placed it down, you'll be dead. They should also add an option to make the keybinds of the game to switch to dying light 1 keybinds/controls
A cool idea that I think should be added is an infinite floor mode, where you go up infinitely, and the everything gets stronger and stronger, like above level 9, and each floor instead of the same thing to get to the elevator, you add some parkour levels, wave levels, and a bunch of new types of zombies.+ they could do something with the portals that u got to access during the tolga and fatine side quest
I personally really like it so far, my only "big" issues are Polishing and how it doesn't look very abandoned for a place that nobody's cared for in 15 years, there being no parkour or time-trial levels, and rewards (basically no Legend XP, no Gear/armor and no poppies)
But it is an excuse for being underwhelming, its not even close to gully finished and Techland knows that. Feedback from the community will 100% get to the devs and they listen. Ik we have to say this a lot when it comes to this game but stay patient brother it will eventually deliver!
Techland never fails to disappoint, I know it’s just a beta but fuck man after all this waiting I was expecting more a full release even atp with all this waiting dlc 2 not finna come out till end of 2025 or early 2026🤦🏾
personally i think them giving us a beta and not the full game is good for everyone! its not common for things like to happen and telling techland our thoughts and what can be changed and improved before release is perfect so then were all satisfied! :) Only problem is the risk. There is no risk or worry of dying i run solo nightmare with only two weapons and i can just ignore the zombies and enemies with flares:/ Its way to easy to cheese the game just by running and ignoring it. And on the topic of running through the enemies... why not add a parkour puzzle? Or stealth ones too. Its a fun mode and have been playing since it came out but wish there was more then run and kill. (edit) Also the boss fight at the end was nothing :( Throw flares and molotovs and do nothing. Why not add different Boss enemies? Like demolishers, tyrant, volatiles, THV monsters basically. But not the same ones all the time though because it would be boring or id know what to do at the end and cheese it more. And one more thing! With parkour there should be puzzles to get out as well, maybe finding a key card or having to parkour through areas that have fire below or that surround you so you would have to watch your step. Listen the game is done. They can't release mid betas anymore. The game is dead and the hype of the tower raid is gone now. Tte leaks from dlc2 are mid. This game is over the ledge of being boring. Everyone is tired of the game at its core
@@Billy_the-cat I did. But the reason for the beta is to see what can be fixed, Improved and added into. Plus this is the first beta test for the community lol. And were waiting a week or so for the other update for the tower raid. Then dlc2 comes out around August-october more likely too. And tymon was talking about a survival game mode after dlc2 so there is plenty :)
Honestly, why is it so difficult for techland to just do something similar to the prison heist (harran prison) from dying light 1? I don't think that anybody would be upset if they use previous work as a reference. I just feel like techland is stuck in a perpetual state of mediocracy for a while now.
My idea for the vnc tower climb a couple years ago was a massive dark zone with rng floors and enemies but no segments and sections just one continuous climb to the roof. Which includes boss fights and parkour sections easy and hard. I wanted to feel trapped in this building and having to fight my way out to the roof. There should also be infected we never saw in the vnc with a alpha volatile or night hunter waiting on the roof. The vnc tower needs to feel like a nest/ground zero. Kinda like a resident evil hunk side mission.
What I hate most is the lack of end game. Me and my friend was farming to upgrade everything and get stronger but we realized it was only for the sake of farming more efficiently. Tower raid sounded like a good idea of end game. But the second thing I hate most is that apparently we have guns now. This was supposed to be a parkour survival game with strict melee combat. This video looks like every other zombie shooter game.
I do still wish games took example of deep rock galactic and hell divers whether it be the in game currencies being able to be unlocked through weekly or daily quests or just being able to unlock a random item in a crate
Hi~ Has the physical effect of water in the game been improved? Specifically: 1. Are there ripples when walking in a pond? 2. Are there ripples when swimming? I'd just completed the roof stage with no lives left, and I was right about to open the door to leave the area and 2 virals spawned in behind me and killed me 🤬
I had low expectations and still got underwhelmed. I love the new interior designs and the new zombie models but the gameplay of it is just kill zombies and/or find a key card. Those 3 extra floors for the next week better mix up some new stuff and the full release has to add a lot more creative ways to escape the floors or else this has no chance of being replayable. And they gotta change the final fight on the roof. It's too easy to cheese it with the flares that are provided and we've seen it before with the survivor challenges.
At the end after I collected the rewards I was about enter the elevator then a zombie glitched through the wall and one shot me at full health( I had no more lives left)
i think its really cool and can only get better. its a good rogue-lite experience with friends. edit: have 3 random loadouts per player, and use modifiers on top of that. (+10% health, -25% ammo capacity, etc.)
I think it’s a fun little mode. I hope in the future they keep updating this mode, adding new floors, features, and enemies. There definitely needs to be a boss fight at the end, like in DL1’s prison heist
I think the tower raid could be made more interesting if maybe 2 or 3 new infected were introduced and were meant for the tower. This would certainly create a new factor and challenge, encountering infected that don't act like any we've seen before. Bosses that act differently from normal variants (like the gorilla demolisher) would also greatly help this. The reward does seems to be a bit lackluster (a good bit of materials and a weapon) but tower raid exclusive weapons and armor could also improve this (like the fantasy weapons from DL1's prison heist)
Reminder this is the first phase of a beta, since they're going to be taking off shelves after 3 weeks I'm assuming they're properly going to work on it after
well you could say its done right now after they release all those more floors and other stuff, the reason they take it off is cause of adding stuff players might want.
I don't have any idea if they are planning to make this into a rogue-like mode. But if they are: 1. Give zero weapons and utilities from the beginning. The player has to scavenge for them by killing zombies and looting them or explore the environment. 2. DL is a zombie parkour game. They added the zombie but forgot the parkour. 3. Ammo is fine, but better weapons should be given not just a higher rarity. 4. I don't know how many times you played the mode but I believe they should add more types of final rooms as well. 5. They need to add an objective as to WHY the player is in the tower in the first place. Like, looking for certain kind of loot that can only be found in the tower and no where else, which is why the player will have to look around for the item in question and that's what will be delivered in the final box on the roof that will be extracted out of there. 6. This was absolutely stupid. Where are the volatiles in a VOLATILE Hive? 7. After watching the gameplay in a different video I have come to this conclusion: They are trying to replicate Left4Dead and trying to add some spice by using modifiers. But they have definitely failed. Cooperation is not required on this mission. You can even do it solo ( which is not a bad thing, but they need to do something about the biter grabs and the spitters vomiting around them preventing the player from getting closer.) 8. The floors need to get noticeably harder as you progress through the them. Starting with only biters and sparse in number, you manually climb up for a few floors so that you can get your bearings (refer to point 1). Then you use the elevators. As you proceed using the elevators the floors will have virals, then add in the banshees and goons, phase out the biters and keep doing this process so that each floor feels harder than the previous. 9. They need to take into account the number players in the tower. The more players that join through the coop the more zombies. 10. They need to add some zombies or tweak the existing ones so that actually they promote working together (refer to point 7). As you showed in the video, you were easily able to run far ahead of your co-op partner without any repercussions. That needs to change. GENERAL CRITICISM ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Why does Aiden start bouncing when I run into a zombie and try to attack it? Because of this my attacks don't connect and it's so fucking infuriating. 2. When a molotov is thrown or a fire is lit why doesn't it cast proper light around it, instead of just glowing on my screen while it's surroundings are still pitch black?
I think instead of a single chest at the end. There should be like 10. And you actually have to defend them cuz they’d have lower health and when they break they’re gone. But pretty much have it be like a reward from killing a borderlands boss. Just a lootsplosion with the occasional god drop amongst other decent weapons and supplies.
Tower Raid is alright I suppose but even with the randomised floors and modifiers it still feels repetitive I don't think I'll be playing it again or playing DL2 until the second DLC drops
Those cool weapons they have in the Bundle would be dope rewards for doing a raid (non repairable to justify buying the dlc, let’s be practical here). Remember those weird gold tier weapons in DL1 like that ancient club that had skulls on it n stuff? Good stats but couldn’t modify it? Really just novelty but cool to use. Tribal axe n stuff.
Ive trained myself for years to not be dissapointed in video games as long as Im entertained its ok. I just play video games for story/campaign and mostly solo. I rarely if ever do touch multiplayer games because of toxic hot mic people, and I just dont want to deal with that.
I feel like the roof level should have a new big boss maybe a armored demolisher like the ones in dl1 but with the ability of the gorilla demolisher from carnage hall but it can jump up on the ledges maybe pick up a rocks in both hands and throw them at the player or even make it like a fire demolisher that throws flaming rocks and all its ground slams have fire effects or even maybe a night hunter as a boss
First of all i'am not trying to hate it in any way. I like the game being developed and i like the idea of tower raides but at the moment it looks absolutely the same what i do outside when running through the city of Villedor but inside a tower. I think it should have something unique that makes you want to click the tower raid button...maybe some rare items that could be dropped only by the tower monsters and can not be shared. That's good it is an open beta so the community can share ideas to make it better. Kindest regards to the developers. Hope they can make it the best part of the endgame activity.
I agree with this criticism. I hope we started with no weapon at all and need to find one to survive with limited ammo or the durability for each floor but that is just me
I really don’t like how loot works in DL2. Like guns are locked behind Jai. I miss just being able to find various rarities of guns anywhere, randomized stats, or just part of the environment like boat paddles n stuff. It’s all tied behind some type of overly gamified grind or fixed location random event pop up. No point in exploration.
They need to put some uniqe awards, this beta is probably just to focus on how gameplay looks. Different rooms, with different enemies, some special fights, it works for me. I say they did pretty good, and it's not everything that this mod will bring to the game. I say it's a W for Techland, as it bring me a lot fun.
yes of the game mode they announced 9 months ago and was originally planned to release in February. I'm not shitting on the gamemode just stating its mediocre atm and could be better, as I said I see the potential and will make a more in depth vid stating how they can improve on this beta.
i just hope it's a lot more better when it's the full release because it is pretty meh and the rewards are pretty bad but i enjoy my time with it let's just hope they add more in the future quickly and not make us wait for so long
I gotta say I am pretty disappointed In The tower raids, all that hype since last year for yet another misson and grind for rewards I can grind in the normal game. 😢 why don’t they focus on the next dlc like they should have done in the first place instead of all crap like this.

Tower Raid was fun but it felt too similar to the base game. It wasn't really random and the loot wasn't interesting. I hope they'll fix the loot at least in the full release. And they should do as you said and make you start naked on floor 1 and you have to collect the weapons and equipment as you go. That'd make things way more challenging and interesting. They should be random too.
They should rework whole loot system and making money more relevant that would change the game aloot and maybe make co op raids better cuz clearly that not it and in this apocaliptic world you know the money should be a big thing not sou ez to get
i disagree wth the finding loot thing. the raid is supposed to be an activity similar to other game's with an endgame; take in your max level character with your best gear for a shot at unique gear and items. it just needs to be harder or more complex. truly difficult encounters that require thought and strategy beyond holding down left click. maybe even puzzles to figure out the encounters, like destiny raids.
Nope having own loadout is mid, best way is to make elite missions without own gear so that the people who want to play it easy can do it in the standard one if they want. Me and many others want a challenge and that won’t happen when we have 999 boosters and 200 military medkits
@@jahmy there's better way's to go about it though, while also letting people keep their loadout. limiting the amount of resources that can be brought in, for example. limited ammo, meds, tools, etc. as well as not allowing thing's like the doom shotgun or korek machete.
People will directly say "but its beta, you have no right to say its bad" You guys need to understand that it took them over 8 months to release Tower raid and this is what they gave us? At first Tower raid initial release was supposed to be in February so imagine how broken and empty that shit would have been. So yes, Tower Raid is trash and its time to stop throwing flowers at techland every time they do something. Tower raid is empty, its lacking in everything and the Beta is an excuse. If they truly wanted to do test with it, there's something called "experimental build" on steam, they should have release an experimental build of the game with only Tower raid so people could give a long and detailed feedback over the months since the beginning of 2024 so when we actually get Tower raid it would have been fully polished and complete and not an empty Beta to get resources.
5 minute required end fight, lackluster rewards that aren't even unique to this mode, and an okay level 5 chase track.. I'm kinda glad I fell off this game.
Everyone does need to keep in mind that this is a beta for a reason. They want our feedback so that they can make most people happy before releasing the final version. So, if there is something you don't like or want improved. Let them know with your feedback

I absolutely hate the Dying Light 2 weapon firing animations in third person (in multiplayer). Look how good the weapon firing animations are in this cinematic. PUT SOME LIFE INTO THE WEAPON ANIMATIONS PLEASE FOR FUCK SAKE
I like the new zombie styles and level like the floor and random buffs and debuffs but the tower raid is boring when I did it for the second time the end was good but after that it was boring and the normal missions for jai is faster to get rp then doing tower raid and the floor are to easy like what the hell man the reward at the end exotic I already have them they give exotics that I already have they could make it more harder for us legend lv player and also the 5 Min time is boring I would make it 2:30 or 3 minutes at least and sometimes the elevator doesn't go down at the end and we wasted our run and time and no rp it happened to me like 2 or 3 times some glitches with the zombies and stuff but mostly boring the rp is good like 3000 is good but after that rp 1000 per run for like 10 Min long idk how long so yeah this is okay

They should add legendary armor sets that give unique powerful bonuses when all set pieces are equipped.

Tower Raid should be like Devil may Cry's Bloody Palace mode or Heavenly Tower from Battle Cats (if anyone is familiar with that game) with a random assortment of enemies and actual GOOD rewards like weapon charms, progress toward any of the vendors, or maybe give us a way to earn DL points by completing challenges within the tower
When I think of a multi-story building, it would be cool to have zombies that have stayed there for a long time and are different and stronger, that gives the player a feeling of discovery and fear at the same time, and the place itself shows how old it is. and lifeless, it needs to give a similar feeling to when we explore the buildings in The Last of Us, I know it's a beta, but it gives off an empty vibe like the rest of Dying Light 2

I think that for tower raid to succeed there needs to be a lot of variety. More objectives, more varied floor layouts with evironmental dangers and parkour and there needs to be loadouts like in the harper missions that you can choose from so you can't just steamroll everyone with easter egg weapons. The floors themselves are lacking a lot of detail, they look too clean for a building filled with infected tens of years after the apocalypse. I guess that's why it's a beta because it sure feels like it.
I think they should make some changes when you go to the wheel to change accesories because it always stops your game and its not sensative so if you accidently equipped a grenade andd you thought it was a uv flare and you placed it down, you'll be dead. They should also add an option to make the keybinds of the game to switch to dying light 1 keybinds/controls
A cool idea that I think should be added is an infinite floor mode, where you go up infinitely, and the everything gets stronger and stronger, like above level 9, and each floor instead of the same thing to get to the elevator, you add some parkour levels, wave levels, and a bunch of new types of zombies.+ they could do something with the portals that u got to access during the tolga and fatine side quest
I personally really like it so far, my only "big" issues are Polishing and how it doesn't look very abandoned for a place that nobody's cared for in 15 years, there being no parkour or time-trial levels, and rewards (basically no Legend XP, no Gear/armor and no poppies)

But it is an excuse for being underwhelming, its not even close to gully finished and Techland knows that. Feedback from the community will 100% get to the devs and they listen. Ik we have to say this a lot when it comes to this game but stay patient brother it will eventually deliver!

personally i think them giving us a beta and not the full game is good for everyone! its not common for things like to happen and telling techland our thoughts and what can be changed and improved before release is perfect so then were all satisfied! :) Only problem is the risk. There is no risk or worry of dying i run solo nightmare with only two weapons and i can just ignore the zombies and enemies with flares:/ Its way to easy to cheese the game just by running and ignoring it. And on the topic of running through the enemies... why not add a parkour puzzle? Or stealth ones too. Its a fun mode and have been playing since it came out but wish there was more then run and kill.
(edit) Also the boss fight at the end was nothing :( Throw flares and molotovs and do nothing. Why not add different Boss enemies? Like demolishers, tyrant, volatiles, THV monsters basically. But not the same ones all the time though because it would be boring or id know what to do at the end and cheese it more.
And one more thing! With parkour there should be puzzles to get out as well, maybe finding a key card or having to parkour through areas that have fire below or that surround you so you would have to watch your step.

Listen the game is done. They can't release mid betas anymore. The game is dead and the hype of the tower raid is gone now. Tte leaks from dlc2 are mid. This game is over the ledge of being boring. Everyone is tired of the game at its core

And were waiting a week or so for the other update for the tower raid. Then dlc2 comes out around August-october more likely too. And tymon was talking about a survival game mode after dlc2 so there is plenty :)

Honestly, why is it so difficult for techland to just do something similar to the prison heist (harran prison) from dying light 1? I don't think that anybody would be upset if they use previous work as a reference. I just feel like techland is stuck in a perpetual state of mediocracy for a while now.

My idea for the vnc tower climb a couple years ago was a massive dark zone with rng floors and enemies but no segments and sections just one continuous climb to the roof. Which includes boss fights and parkour sections easy and hard. I wanted to feel trapped in this building and having to fight my way out to the roof. There should also be infected we never saw in the vnc with a alpha volatile or night hunter waiting on the roof. The vnc tower needs to feel like a nest/ground zero. Kinda like a resident evil hunk side mission.
What I hate most is the lack of end game. Me and my friend was farming to upgrade everything and get stronger but we realized it was only for the sake of farming more efficiently. Tower raid sounded like a good idea of end game. But the second thing I hate most is that apparently we have guns now. This was supposed to be a parkour survival game with strict melee combat. This video looks like every other zombie shooter game.
I do still wish games took example of deep rock galactic and hell divers whether it be the in game currencies being able to be unlocked through weekly or daily quests or just being able to unlock a random item in a crate
No shet,beta and early limited to see how thw tower raid is, they'll remove it and work out the set from the feedbacks that may have bugs and glitches

I'd just completed the roof stage with no lives left, and I was right about to open the door to leave the area and 2 virals spawned in behind me and killed me 🤬
I had low expectations and still got underwhelmed. I love the new interior designs and the new zombie models but the gameplay of it is just kill zombies and/or find a key card. Those 3 extra floors for the next week better mix up some new stuff and the full release has to add a lot more creative ways to escape the floors or else this has no chance of being replayable. And they gotta change the final fight on the roof. It's too easy to cheese it with the flares that are provided and we've seen it before with the survivor challenges.
At the end after I collected the rewards I was about enter the elevator then a zombie glitched through the wall and one shot me at full health( I had no more lives left)

I think it’s a fun little mode. I hope in the future they keep updating this mode, adding new floors, features, and enemies. There definitely needs to be a boss fight at the end, like in DL1’s prison heist
I think the tower raid could be made more interesting if maybe 2 or 3 new infected were introduced and were meant for the tower. This would certainly create a new factor and challenge, encountering infected that don't act like any we've seen before. Bosses that act differently from normal variants (like the gorilla demolisher) would also greatly help this. The reward does seems to be a bit lackluster (a good bit of materials and a weapon) but tower raid exclusive weapons and armor could also improve this (like the fantasy weapons from DL1's prison heist)
I maxed out my battieres along with everything else this update served its purpose.
Reminder this is the first phase of a beta, since they're going to be taking off shelves after 3 weeks I'm assuming they're properly going to work on it after
well you could say its done right now after they release all those more floors and other stuff, the reason they take it off is cause of adding stuff players might want.

I don't have any idea if they are planning to make this into a rogue-like mode. But if they are:
1. Give zero weapons and utilities from the beginning. The player has to scavenge for them by killing zombies and looting them or explore the environment.
2. DL is a zombie parkour game. They added the zombie but forgot the parkour.
3. Ammo is fine, but better weapons should be given not just a higher rarity.
4. I don't know how many times you played the mode but I believe they should add more types of final rooms as well.
5. They need to add an objective as to WHY the player is in the tower in the first place. Like, looking for certain kind of loot that can only be found in the tower and no where else, which is why the player will have to look around for the item in question and that's what will be delivered in the final box on the roof that will be extracted out of there.
6. This was absolutely stupid. Where are the volatiles in a VOLATILE Hive?
7. After watching the gameplay in a different video I have come to this conclusion: They are trying to replicate Left4Dead and trying to add some spice by using modifiers. But they have definitely failed. Cooperation is not required on this mission. You can even do it solo ( which is not a bad thing, but they need to do something about the biter grabs and the spitters vomiting around them preventing the player from getting closer.)
8. The floors need to get noticeably harder as you progress through the them. Starting with only biters and sparse in number, you manually climb up for a few floors so that you can get your bearings (refer to point 1). Then you use the elevators. As you proceed using the elevators the floors will have virals, then add in the banshees and goons, phase out the biters and keep doing this process so that each floor feels harder than the previous.
9. They need to take into account the number players in the tower. The more players that join through the coop the more zombies.
10. They need to add some zombies or tweak the existing ones so that actually they promote working together (refer to point 7). As you showed in the video, you were easily able to run far ahead of your co-op partner without any repercussions. That needs to change.
GENERAL CRITICISM

1. Why does Aiden start bouncing when I run into a zombie and try to attack it? Because of this my attacks don't connect and it's so fucking infuriating.
2. When a molotov is thrown or a fire is lit why doesn't it cast proper light around it, instead of just glowing on my screen while it's surroundings are still pitch black?

I think instead of a single chest at the end. There should be like 10. And you actually have to defend them cuz they’d have lower health and when they break they’re gone. But pretty much have it be like a reward from killing a borderlands boss. Just a lootsplosion with the occasional god drop amongst other decent weapons and supplies.
Tower Raid is alright I suppose but even with the randomised floors and modifiers it still feels repetitive I don't think I'll be playing it again or playing DL2 until the second DLC drops

Those cool weapons they have in the Bundle would be dope rewards for doing a raid (non repairable to justify buying the dlc, let’s be practical here). Remember those weird gold tier weapons in DL1 like that ancient club that had skulls on it n stuff? Good stats but couldn’t modify it? Really just novelty but cool to use. Tribal axe n stuff.

Ive trained myself for years to not be dissapointed in video games as long as Im entertained its ok. I just play video games for story/campaign and mostly solo. I rarely if ever do touch multiplayer games because of toxic hot mic people, and I just dont want to deal with that.
I feel like the roof level should have a new big boss maybe a armored demolisher like the ones in dl1 but with the ability of the gorilla demolisher from carnage hall but it can jump up on the ledges maybe pick up a rocks in both hands and throw them at the player or even make it like a fire demolisher that throws flaming rocks and all its ground slams have fire effects or even maybe a night hunter as a boss
First of all i'am not trying to hate it in any way. I like the game being developed and i like the idea of tower raides but at the moment it looks absolutely the same what i do outside when running through the city of Villedor but inside a tower. I think it should have something unique that makes you want to click the tower raid button...maybe some rare items that could be dropped only by the tower monsters and can not be shared. That's good it is an open beta so the community can share ideas to make it better.

I agree with this criticism. I hope we started with no weapon at all and need to find one to survive with limited ammo or the durability for each floor but that is just me
I really don’t like how loot works in DL2. Like guns are locked behind Jai. I miss just being able to find various rarities of guns anywhere, randomized stats, or just part of the environment like boat paddles n stuff. It’s all tied behind some type of overly gamified grind or fixed location random event pop up. No point in exploration.

They need to put some uniqe awards, this beta is probably just to focus on how gameplay looks. Different rooms, with different enemies, some special fights, it works for me. I say they did pretty good, and it's not everything that this mod will bring to the game.
I say it's a W for Techland, as it bring me a lot fun.

Tower Raid was fun but it felt too similar to the base game. It wasn't really random and the loot wasn't interesting. I hope they'll fix the loot at least in the full release. And they should do as you said and make you start naked on floor 1 and you have to collect the weapons and equipment as you go. That'd make things way more challenging and interesting. They should be random too.
Tower raid should have its own loot pool (its own gear sets and weapons)

I feel the same, defeats the points of finding or grinding to buy weapons and or gear if I can't even use it.
i disagree wth the finding loot thing. the raid is supposed to be an activity similar to other game's with an endgame; take in your max level character with your best gear for a shot at unique gear and items. it just needs to be harder or more complex. truly difficult encounters that require thought and strategy beyond holding down left click. maybe even puzzles to figure out the encounters, like destiny raids.
Nope having own loadout is mid, best way is to make elite missions without own gear so that the people who want to play it easy can do it in the standard one if they want. Me and many others want a challenge and that won’t happen when we have 999 boosters and 200 military medkits
@@jahmy there's better way's to go about it though, while also letting people keep their loadout. limiting the amount of resources that can be brought in, for example. limited ammo, meds, tools, etc. as well as not allowing thing's like the doom shotgun or korek machete.

If they truly wanted to do test with it, there's something called "experimental build" on steam, they should have release an experimental build of the game with only Tower raid so people could give a long and detailed feedback over the months since the beginning of 2024 so when we actually get Tower raid it would have been fully polished and complete and not an empty Beta to get resources.

I like the new zombie styles and level like the floor and random buffs and debuffs but the tower raid is boring when I did it for the second time the end was good but after that it was boring and the normal missions for jai is faster to get rp then doing tower raid and the floor are to easy like what the hell man the reward at the end exotic I already have them they give exotics that I already have they could make it more harder for us legend lv player and also the 5 Min time is boring I would make it 2:30 or 3 minutes at least and sometimes the elevator doesn't go down at the end and we wasted our run and time and no rp it happened to me like 2 or 3 times some glitches with the zombies and stuff but mostly boring the rp is good like 3000 is good but after that rp 1000 per run for like 10 Min long idk how long so yeah this is okay
