If it takes an expert gemologist with magnifyng glass to tell the difference then the the difference isn't enough to justify the extra cost when just wearing as part of an outfit

I will always choose moissanite over cubic zirconia because CZ is a softer stone that scratches easily. The facet edges of CZ are often rough-not clean as they are on moissanite or diamonds-because of the softness. The roughness and lack of polish usually means that CZ shines less. Now that I am familiar with moissanite, I will choose moissanite because I love the double refraction, the rainbows, and the big size for the money. Moissanite doesn’t need to be cleaned as often as diamonds. Diamonds won’t sparkle when they’re dirty; moissanite could have so much shmutz on the back and they will still sparkle.
As for things being “real or fake” being a feminine thing…. Well, that’s probably a psychology/sociology/gender studies PhD dissertation. DeBeers has been working a long time “educating” the public on what diamonds “mean” in our culture and why they should be worth so much. Thanks to videos like this and advertising from the lab diamond and moissanite industries that facade is getting broken down. I am seriously thinking about selling all my natural diamond jewelry because I feel that in a few years the market is going to be decimated once everyone understands the superior value and beauty of lab diamonds and moissanite.

Swarovski Zirconia is the BEST zirconia. It outshines moissanite and a lot of diamonds. I have all 3 types of stones and keep going back to wear my Swarovski Zirconia pieces. They are breathtaking.

moissanites will test real on diamond testers too. i rock a 10 ct moissanite as my engagement ring and get told its beautiful an asked all the time if its real. i love moissanite.
