EP51: Gorgeous Gold Coast and Springbrook NP | Surfers Paradise, Coolangatta | Lap of Australia 2022

- This week, we head back to the coast, the glitzy Gold Coast in fact. Our first stop is in Helensvale where we spend a few days visiting the theme parks which the Gold Coast is known for, we love a good theme park! We check out Surfers Paradise and have a wonder down the stunning beach and of course Cavill Ave, before packing up and moving to the south end of the Gold Coast, Coolangatta.
Chris spends the day out at the stunning Springbrook National Park, doing 2 beautiful walks in the area, while Hannah goes and explores lovely Coolangatta. We finish off with a 54 hole mini golf challenge as we end a fun filled week!
We are Hannah, Chris and dog Archie, setting off on a 12(ish) month trip around Australia - our BIG Staycation, with the whole of Australia as our backyard! We've quit our jobs, rented the house and gone from never towing a caravan, to touring the country full time with one! We're learning as we go! / staycationoz

A lovely presentation, as the end of your Staycation draws nearer. The dolphins were so cute and magnificent and the scenery out of this world. Sorry we didn't see Archie but, as you said, he was probably having more fun with the Kelpie.
It was nice to see Surfers' Paradise again, following our stay there with you about 4 years ago, when Chris climbed to the top of what was then Australia's tallest building. What a lovely country - such a shame it's been closed to the world for the past 2 or more years.
Looking forward to the last episodes of the wonderful adventure which you have almost completed.

Thanks guys for the episode I'm a bit behind just had our Christmas holidays at Kirra its the best end of the GC. Waiting for our van to arrive just found out not until September now and will be going back to Kirra for New Years 2023🥳🥳🥳🥳 for 3 weeks

Hey Guys, thanks for another great episode. We are currently staying with family in Brisbane and funny enough just got back from Tweed Heads, Coolangatta and Currumbin for the day. Had a great day and really enjoyed the warm water. We also went to Twin falls last week and thought they were amazing. I think I was only one that swam in the water as it was quite fresh but such a great experience and a place we would definately recommend.

Yay - our home town! Looks like you had lots of fun. We just went to Natural Bridge also. Beautiful walk. Not many pet friendly parks on the GC at all unfortunately.
No there aren’t at all! Those were almost the closest we could get, without paying over $100 a night!! 😳

Hi Peter! Tricky question, I’m sure it probably has some sort of impact, but since we’ve never had a canopy it’s hard for me to say! The Ranger does a great job towing our van though! 👍

Hi Geoff! Welcome and thanks for watching! Yea we’re really happy with it so far, they are a well build van! We’ve had a few minor issues, but Crusader have been great and working through the issues with us! 👍
