***** Please, Rodman's block was great, Jordan's (on Rodman) was weak. He caught it from behind before Rodman had barely jumped. Rodman's block of Jordan's was when Jordan was fully in the air.
Once upon a time, two godlike basketball players clashed.. And later on, they joined forces as then they dominated the league. And they played monstrously ever, after
Bitch please, name me another athlete who could EFFECTIVELY guard all five positions like he did. Defensive versatility made him greater than other defenders. Who else could guard the likes of Jordan or Magic and establish the same dominance over the giants of Shaq and Hakeem. He made the NBA All-Defensive Team EIGHT times and Defensive player of the year TWICE. There were much better shot blockers than him, and players better at steals but his all round game plus his defensive rebouding ability (At his size he rivals Bill Russell) resulted in his defensive Superiority.
The one thing LeBron fans who swear he's better than MJ will never understand. It's not the skills that made MJ the greatest. It's not the rings, the stats, or the MVPs. It's his heart and will to win that separates MJ from everyone else. Even if you get the best of him at one point, he'll make sure to come right back and put you back in your place. You can't teach that kind of willpower.
Stonemansteve II Can't argue with how great Jordan was, but Pippen and Rodman are in the HoF and they had a pretty decent coach. I would call that a super team.
chuck430 He didn't have Rodman for his first 3 rings, though. Rodman joined after MJ came back from retirement. So he only had 1 HoF player (Pippen) for his first 3 rings. It was hardly a super team.
I know Rodman wasn't on the team for the first 3-peat but, I was replying to Stonemansteve's claim to 6 titles without a super team. And that earlier team may have not had Rodman but they had Horace Grant, who was no slouch on D, and still lead by arguably the best coach of all time.
Jordan HATES being embarrassed. So he works three times as hard to embarrass you back to the point that you FORGOT he was ever embarrassed to begin with.
I saw coach Bobby Knight make a quote, he said you got to draft Michael Jordan, and the GM said I need a center, coach Knight said play Michael at center, he's the best player I've ever seen, Michael could do it all, that's why I feel he's the greatest, will and Bill Russell they couldn't shoot three pointers and from the outside and guard guards Michael had a complete game
+Joanna Pezda But the pistons won two NBA championships with rodman and rodman received defensive player of the year. They beat the bulls when they won the championship. Michael Jordan needed rodman too do the dirty work.
kardcarl 3 and then realised when he returned in 94 and the BUlls didnt win the championship he knew he needed someone like Rodman to win championships again, so Chicago went and got Dennis Rodman, and JOrdan won 3 more with Rodman.
Drew Filson it was, especially when Rodman joined the team. It was hysteria here every fricken day. He opened up a cigar bar. Jammed traffic because his face was painted on a building wall next to the express way. But this hair was on a billboard on top of the building shaped like his head....everytime he changed his hair color they would change the billboard to the same color. People would slow down or get off to take pictures.
@Andy Kilker The Cubs celebration was giant (5-10x) compared to any of the Bulls celebrations. The Bulls were a different beast though...everyone knew you were watching the best there ever was and probably will be. It was a sustained success and MJ was simply dominant in an era that had a lot of all-time great players. The Bulls were still a relatively young franchise in Chicago and not as strong a fanbase, though Jordan did eventually turn everyone in Chicago into rabid Bulls fans. The second three-peat they were basically The Beatles. The Cubs were an entirely different story...many more longtime fans and generations of fans that never saw victory - a team that famously loses finally wins...it was historic/epic (tbh some of us are still celebrating). They say 5 million came for the celebration...I was there I would bet it was less but still was huge. There were a lot of tears the night the Cubs won...with the Bulls you came to expect victory - they were never beat in the finals (never really challenged)...they faced a lot more challenges in the Eastern Conference finals. The 1985 Bears...may have been even bigger than the Cubs...not celebration size as it was like -30 wind chill that day...still 300K showed up. Chicago is ultimately a Bears town and that team was a super team - great players, great personalities, bigger than life coach, a historic team that had never won a Super Bowl. Might be the best team in Chicago history for one season...maybe even more dominant than the 72-10 Bulls.
man i wish i was this age when michael was still ballin. i remember when he retired from the bulls the second time, just barely, and I remember watching play with the wizards, but, I was so young I hardly remember. I did recognize that he was the greatest to ever play, as soon as I understood basketball. space jam generation hold it down
Same, I had a Bulls coat when I was a kid, and I knew his name. I'd always heard he was the best, but I wasn't really able to watch and understand basketball until he played for the Wizards. Still, we got the next best thing to a time machine: UA-cam.
The two greatest one on one defenders of all time. Rodman can guard any position and lock you down. But Jordan will give you nightmares all day. Pippen can do both but not quite the same level. Kinda incredible that they all played in one team. Defense wins championships.

İf we say someone is the goat, we mean his defansive and offansive skills are the best and also his humanity is perfect. Example1: M.J.
The thing is yes Lebron is a freak! But doesnt have the drive, attitude, the heart that kobe and mj have. Thats why its always between kobe and mj, they are just hard players
45 Queen James fans... MJ will be the GOAT forever IMO, no on will replicate what he has done, Kobe will challenge but he will never be MJ. I'm never gonna change that fact.

Another example of what it looks like to play like The G.O.A.T. Relentless, determined, ferocious, fearless, mentally tough, persistent, physically strong, quick on his feet, high IQ on the court, skillful, athletic, creative, AND extremely competitive!!!! These qualities were on display 24/7 for the world to see courtesy of Michael Jordan. These are the facts, and they are undisputed. ✌️
I think this shows one of MJ legendary perspectives, and that is he was extremely AND I MEAN EXTREMELY competitive, you can't beat him cause he refuses to lose that fuckin much, it hurts him to lose, and I think we all need that spirit in us
Jordan blocking any player three times is to be expected. After all he's one if not the best player of all time. But ... someone blocking Jordan, even if it's just once... with an insanely precise timining like this... whoever it is, he deserves a big ovation. At that moment, Rodman proved that he could guard pretty much anyone.
Im 16 so I never Got to see Jordan and How he played, and Recently I have been watching old footage of his games in the NBA, And I can say that the difference between Kobe and Lebron compared to Mike is that Mike played with more Competitive instincts, and this shows it. His desire to do better than the man across from him was what made him legendary
Second block is clearly a foul. Still, MJ is such a beast, amazing! And kudos to Rodman also for blocking MJ, that's not something anyone can say. He is one of the best defensive players I've ever seen.
And most people only mention M.J.’s shooting, but in this video and one game alone, it shows you his competitive mindset to play tough hard nose defense and willingness to pass the ball to teammates.
Damn, Jordan was such a beast. Anyone who would get revenge would do it only once. But Michael... Michael sets out to make the person he's getting revenge on look bad!
How can you be a basketballfan and not be a jordan fan. Any basketball player/fan should have the greatest respect for Michael Jordan purely because of his greatness.

Moral of the story: If you block Jordan's shot, he'll pay you back triple. What a generous man!
The way Rodman takes off his eye on Jordan for a bit to sprint so he can Intercept with the block is awesome!
MJs competitiveness is legendary. You rarely see this sort of thing nowadays.
...if at all!
Always see this not even rare
Jordan: "I'll see your one block and raise you three..."
Rodman: "I fold."
***** Please, Rodman's block was great, Jordan's (on Rodman) was weak. He caught it from behind before Rodman had barely jumped. Rodman's block of Jordan's was when Jordan was fully in the air.
Chris Kavanagh There were 3 of them. Which are you talking about?
***** MJ: "So you blocked me? So you wan't to play it that way? Watch and learn, boyo!"
Ulysses432 they were all too soul crushing for rodman he had to join his rival team a few years after, and finish the second 3 peat with the G.O.A.T.
......and Rodman still walks away with the Championship.
Once upon a time, two godlike basketball players clashed.. And later on, they joined forces as then they dominated the league. And they played monstrously ever, after
Miko Matsumoto Dennis Rodman isn't a "godlike" basketball player
Perhaps closer to a "queen"..?
Fuck you he's the greatest defender behind Bill Russell.
Who?!! Rodman's the greatest defender behind Russell??????????!!!!!! YOU'RE A FUCKING IDIOT!!!!

It's amazing how with 90s basketball you can see the grit just with how they dribble and pass and run around, that fire is gone now
The one thing LeBron fans who swear he's better than MJ will never understand. It's not the skills that made MJ the greatest. It's not the rings, the stats, or the MVPs. I would "like" this post, but it already has "23" likes so I don't wanna ruin it. ;-)
And he didn't need a fucking super team to win 6 championships either, and it would've been 8 had he not went to baseball for 2 seasons!!
Stonemansteve II Can't argue with how great Jordan was, but Pippen and Rodman are in the HoF and they had a pretty decent coach. I would call that a super team.

lol jordan holds grudges..he knew he got tricked into driving and getting blocked....n put rodman on his list
MJ, is that you?
Jordan HATES being embarrassed. So he works three times as hard to embarrass you back to the point that you FORGOT he was ever embarrassed to begin with.
But that block by Rodman was pretty sick. He was an awesome defensive player.
he had help!
Perfect angle
love how jordan took stuff personal.
Jordan highlights never cease to amaze. But man that angular correction Rodman made to basket after getting burned was IMPRESSIVE as fuck. 0:13
I respect Rodman. He truly a great.
one does not simply block MJ....
poor mister Rodman
I saw coach Bobby Knight make a quote, he said you got to draft Michael Jordan, and the GM said I need a center, coach Knight said play Michael at center, he's the best player I've ever seen, Michael could do it all, that's why I feel he's the greatest, will and Bill Russell they couldn't shoot three pointers and from the outside and guard guards Michael had a complete game
You can hear jordan's hand off the backboard.
I'm always amazed at a clean block shot where nobody ends up getting injured. Especially when considering how high in the air they get
anyone notice that mj rarely gets blocked?
man, nba nowadays no longer have players who could do blocks like those, insane blocks
L
Rodman felt so bad he ended up being Michael's teamte, that way he wont be humiliated
+rudy rada well if you cant beat em, join em, that's the rule

It's never fun living in the rat hole of a city...
this is the reason he's the best athlete ever. i've never seen such competitive person, he's unbelieveable
MJ could do whatever he wanted on the court, as long as he really wanted to. That's just unstoppable determination and will.
note to self; ' do not attempt to or even block MJ' why? ask Rodman
Rodman would say go ahead and do it I did it many times
That's wat u call competitive..."that's go blocking me once, now ur never going to the rim."
You blocked my shot? Fine. That was all I needed...

Rodman's recovery to get to the shot was so awesome
Dam basketball would never be as entertaining like when jordaan was in the nba
Rodman blocked Jordan 😏
Jordan-entering god mode 🥵
Rodman -destroyed😭
Lol! Jordan's a cold piece
Ultimate Competitor only Bill Russell could match his mind set and philosophy of success!!
When you play angry all the time you will be a happy man.
Thats why you dont block Mj.
If I ever miraculously block MJ, I would just bench myself while I'm still ahead
The Eating Stomach
Lmao!
Damn I miss these games!
amazing, he really put his eyes on rodman, who rarely shoots the ball

the pistons actually won the series/championship.
Jordan is the most competitive and most relentless player I ever watched, in any sport.
Ah when basketball was basketball.
The thing is yes Lebron is a freak! But doesnt have the drive, attitude, the heart that kobe and mj have. Thats why its always between kobe and mj, they are just hard players
They both jordan freak. Ut mj mastered his skills not depending on strength and statbpadding ...kobe however copy that motivation from mj
The awesome defensive play of the man called Michael Jordan. Please do not start to compare ANYONE to this guy
45 Queen James fans... MJ will be the GOAT forever IMO, no on will replicate what he has done, Kobe will challenge but he will never be MJ. I'm never gonna change that fact.
that fact is already settled in stone.....
We can't all play in a watered down league.
Doug in San Diego this list is not very good.
Doug in San Diego that's your problem. You have a huge bias.
@San Diego
STEPH CURRY SHOULD BE#9
DURANT#12-14
JORDAN#1
ISAIAH DESTROYED BIRD LATE 80'S
MAGIC/ KAREEM GOT DEFEATED BY BIRD 86
MAGIC ALSO DEFEATED BIRD 87
MAGIC,BIRD, ISAIAH the 3 KINGS were quoted saying that "JORDAN IS THE BEST PLAYER IN THE NBA" and that was before he'd even won a single ring
The current 3 KINGS STEPH,LEBRON, DURANT will be knocked off by ZION BABY THANOS like JORDAN did the old 3 KINGS 😂
Agreed. How easily we forget.
This video is the reminder of just how great he was.
"there it is, clean block" *jordan slaps rodman's hand* lol
those were the days
Michael Jordan >>>>> NBA

i love how mj always gets his revenge :D
That was probably the cleanest play in Rodmans career
man, Rodman did biggest mistake in his life ^.^
Jordan can be so petty, but its pretty fun.. and good lord when you see how far Jordan is able to extend his hand passed the rim!
rodman blockes mj shot and mj doesnt cry out to the ref.....imagine if it was lebron or kobe...........
The glory of blocking MJ's shot doesn't compensate the humiliation that follows. 2 great players
after he blocked jordan.. jordan send them in school.
Im 16 so I never Got to see Jordan and How he played, and Recently I have been watching old footage of his games in the NBA, And I can say that the difference between Kobe and Lebron compared to Mike is that Mike played with more Competitive instincts, and this shows it. WOOOO MJ!!! :P i wish i was old enough to remember any of this stuff, and wish it was broadcast in the UK :(
Second block is clearly a foul. Still, MJ is such a beast, amazing! And kudos to Rodman also for blocking MJ, that's not something anyone can say. He is one of the best defensive players I've ever seen.
Rodman always says that to play against MJ is always mental.
I miss the old days. Real Basketball....
Rodmans block was the best of the bunch by far
that first rodman block was genius. he heads straight for the basket for the block
Those were some great games. Chicago vs Detroit early 90's
Both such great competitors.
Talk about a true leader, and playing like every play is your last, Mr Jordan!
Jordan is like a cruise missile of vengeance.
That is what a true competitor looks like, wins all the little battles in order to win six of the other ones..
And most people only mention M.J.’s shooting, but in this video and one game alone, it shows you his competitive mindset to play tough hard nose defense and willingness to pass the ball to teammates.
I agree. Bulls vs Knicks in the early 90s were great too.
mj was quick as lightning..
@NoRegretsForOurYouth thats how competitive MJ was..Never ever seen anyone so competitive!
Worm: Gotcha.
Airness: Right back atcha...thrice!
ppl will never appreciate lebrons greatness getting swept by the spurs or not a kid leading a subpar team to the finals is amazing in itself
That's why those 2 are the one of the best if not the best. Unmatched competitiveness and killer instinct
0:13, " see his eyes?" .... yeah really clear
Damn, Jordan was such a beast. Anyone who would get revenge would do it only once. But Michael... Michael sets out to make the person he's getting revenge on look bad!
thats the thing i love bout mj...he took everything personal.
How can you be a basketballfan and not be a jordan fan. Any basketball player/fan should have the greatest respect for Michael Jordan purely because of his greatness.
When Dennis blocked my shot, I took it personally.
He took it personal as well
Jordan: "You deadass blocked my shot? Do you know who i am?"
Rodman:"Awww here it go"
I know that...Rodman could defend all positions and he was 6'6. BUT there is difference between being able to Block and Rebound and ACTUALLY playing the position well. Michael Jordan is a pure shooting guard.
Well, that escalated quickly
lesson: don't block Jordan, just raise your arms and let him take his shot... and HOPE he mises
Rodman's block was on a different level !!
🧢
michael jordan is both of their inspirations. And it's not easy trying to surpass the one who motivates you.
magnifique les blocks jordan the best
the most competitive being in the universe...he will play against your grandma n not let her win
jordan was like how dare you block me and he goes block rodman many times LOL
All time defence player Mj from turkey
Don't fuck wit Mike
The best basket ball players that have ever lived play right now. That statement will always be true. The kids in 8th grade right now have astonishing basketball ablity. All of the great players from yesteryear could play today but the role players from those days couldn't make a D-league roster today. All head to head games would be lost by the older teams because of these weak links as well as strategy errors like insufficient use of the 3 point line, especially the corner 3.
There's no debating that. You're absolutely right. Thanks for pointing out the obvious. The argument was, who is number 1 in career PPG. It may have been similar, but Jordan is still #1.
Also, Wilt dominated the league back in the day, but no one can ever duplicate what Michael Jordan did. I dont mean talent-wise. I mean, marketability, comercializing, ratings, popularity and fame. What MJ did for the NBA can never be done again.
Man, i miss this kind of NBA.
Jordan: He blocked me…. And I took it personal. 😤
Great stuff, I love it :D
Thanks
that last jordan block was like some tayshuan prince shit!!! haha
That's by far the greatest valid point ever.
