Nice review, I switched to TE irons 6 months ago after years of playing TM & Callaway irons, and the TE are seriously the best irons I have used, they suit my swing perfectly, shot shaping is easy and distance is good. Bottom line I'm shooting lower scores and ejoying hitting them. Just might look at the wedges but I love my Cleveland wedges.

Thanks for the review! I’m a golf gear freak that has Zero budget when it comes to gear. I have everything from Miura baby blades right to Wilson’s D9 forged and literally everything in between. My garage looks like a golf shop with the Foresight simulator in there as well. My go to set up is basically all tour edge, I can’t seem to get away from their woods/hybrids, and their forged irons are just stunning to hit. I haven’t tried their wedges but after this review I will 100% order a 54 and try it out. Thank you!

Tour Edge don’t have a big profile this side of the pond, mainly sold through the America Golf chain and then only with limited club options. I tried their driver and fairway woods a couple of years ago and they felt great, but I was put off by the limited support. These wedges seem to perform well, but on the UK £’s site they are shipped from the US, which means you can’t try them out plus, with shipping and taxes, the price nearly doubles. If they could find a place within a couple of the big UK independents with shop, online and fitting services they could do well. Be great to see such a brand shake up the big boys.

Gabe, perfectly timed video😂😂 I’m looking for a new wedge.
    Wide sole and 10+ bounce.
Just a note on your bunker technique…try taking the club head outside and then cuttings across to the left. Currently with you taking the club head inside it’s hard to get height. I’ve been there due many years. Just had as breakout this past year. Till next video. Cheers.

That beveled leading edge and higher bounce are gonna make it a little tough out of the bunker. Maybe a different grind would do it for the bunker shots, but their stuff is so underrated. I have a c721 "4 wood" that is just fantastic.

High bounce is good, Titleist K grind is the “ultimate bunker club”. First time seeing this guy but appears to me the troubles with spin from the bunker was technique. L to L, hold more radial deviation through impact. It allows you to pick the ball much cleaner. Been playing 20 years and 1 year into lessons and was just taught this

Great review Gabe. So on a side note: Costco has released their tour ball in yellow. I grabbed a box coz I’m all about the yellow ball now. Once I hit my late 40s my vision went south so I can’t see the white ones as good anymore. Could u test out the yellow and see if there are any differences? From what I can tell they still have great bite around the greens and a bit firmer but driver distance was up in the air. I know you’re a busy man but anything would be awesome!!! Thank u much for all u do.

Unrelated question, but how do you go about setting these types of camera shots up? Is the course closed and you have a special arrangement? Not sure how I would setup a camera on the green while I hit multiple shots from 100 yards away given how busy my local course nearly always is. The wedges look awesome!

Hi Gabe, I actually went to my local PGA tour superstore and they didn't have any of these to try out. I live in DFW and I wish there were stores that carry more tour edge stuff. They usually have a driver or two and maybe a set of irons. Often they will have a lot more of the hot launch stuff instead of the exotics. I sure would like to try them. I'm currently a Cleveland cbx guy.

Interesting wedges. The lack of bunker spin was purely technique. Open the face and cut across, swing left. You take it inside and it’s impossible from there to cut across with a cut swing…just a thought but great review as always. That draw bunker shot is great to have when you want the ball to roll out. Cheers!

Nice review, Gabe! I hadn't heard of these, but was interested as I play the Cleveland CBX2 in my 52º, which is a similar design. I'm not sold on the offset, and it would take some getting used to. I don't think it was helping you in the bunker. It seems like offset would make you have to work even harder to hold the face off and not close it down, especially for someone like you since you hit a draw and your path is inside already, even on bunker shots. I see Langer's point for fairway shots and chips that the offset would encourage the hands to stay forward - only that's not where we want the hands for a bunker shot!
It depends on the sand, too, of course. I can use the CBX from fluffy/deeper sand, and the bounce and big sole are a help. But as soon as the sand is firmer or wet, I go to a bladed wedge with less bounce and a narrower sole. A bigger sole and bounce are DEFINITELY helpful with Bermuda - especially with a tight lie into the grain. You just bang down on the ball and it pops up clean - it's like cheating.
