I have the JO9 Day/Date and it has proven to be a more than quality time piece, and worth every cent. What I like about the brand is that they don't try to be anything that they are not. What they do, the company does it to the best of their ability. Great watches all around and people should check them out.
I think that this watch is a really fine lookig timepiece. Personally, I love the appearance, style and what I have seen in your review. I understand your review was done a couple of years ago, therefore, the price is probably higher in June of 2020. No doubt at 44mm, it is a large watch, all around. For my choice, since I only have learned about the Armand Nicolet brand these last 3 months, their dive style watches are 1st class winners, in everyway. Thanks for your review and advise.
Just picked one up for $600 and I must say very impressed. For the money it is the best value. This brand has been around for a while and they improved the designs and quality. The much hated rubber crown actually makes sense once you use it and is nice and easy to operate, but the butterfly clasp should be made illegal as it digs into my wrist. Crystal on this watch must be like 3mm thick and even if you bang it you don't have to worry about scratches. Great video as well. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a beater watch if you already own an expensive piece, but do not want to get scratches on it
Hi 👋 ! Great video .. I really like this watch and I need a Diver with a metal bracelet to add to my collection... which would you choose, this watch OR a Steinhart Ocean 44mm GMT Ceramic ?? The fact that this Armand diver has got a butterfly clasp is a bit off a turn off .. I like a sporty dive watch with wrist presence ... What do you think ?? Is the Armand a better quality watch because it’s more expensive compared to the Steinhart ? Thank You -God Bless
Tough call. Steinhart is def more classic diver and good watch for the price. This AN is a little more fashion forward but still a great piece. I’m not a fan of the dual deployant myself but it’s doable. Ultimately it comes down to the design you want and how much you want to spend.
Very nice piece and in my view worth the money. As a diver it might not be my first choice as a diving watch but it will do the job. A lumed bezel is not essential and I would always fit a NATO strap.
It's different, which in itself is appealing. They went geometrical with the case and lugs but the bracelet feels off a parts shelf (just a little too smooth and melted back). The dial arrangement and texture is nice. My preference against date windows aside, it's nice. Seems like a good set up should one have T3 tubes installed (with exception of the 12 o'c marker). Chagrin: double deployant clasp... Thanks, as always, for sharing!
It’s nice but 1700 seems over-priced. The pip on the Bezel and the second hand should have lume. I don’t know why they used a butterfly clasp, no micro adjustments.
Excellent review. Lots of good information and views. I am very interested in the GMT version of ths watch. These Armand Nicolet watches look very sturdy and well made. No, they do not look like a true diver's watch with the special clasp to go over the wet suit. I am sure for not deep Scuba diving and snorkeling, these watches are fine and water tight. Thanks for the information.
It looks like a well made watch but 44mm seems a little big, I would prefer max of 42mm and the lugs aren’t all that appealing from the side profile. The hour markers on the dial are nicely lumed and easy to see and the bracelet looks pretty solid. It’s so hard to make a perfect diver because each person has such subjective criteria for what they need
Den Getatru you are correct. I was saying that more about the bezel pip, but reality is that you would never use this bracelet to actually dive with. It has no extension and could easily come undone with pressure in the water.

Love this watch brand, excellent quality

Thank you for the reply .. I’ll think about it. Probably get the Armand with the rubber strap if I don’t choose the Steinhart ! 👍

I think is a great watch. I have 2 AN watches and love them. I have the hydro conquest but this one looks nicer.

For that price they shouldn’t be using a low beat movement. The 2846-9 is a 21,600 movement just like the Seiko NH-35

Nice looking watch for desk diving!

Half the price would bei OK... You can get Swiss divers for 700-900 bucks.
Very nice watch! :)
ISO 6425 doesn't provide any points about clasp.

The Price LOL
I am doubtful about the life of the rubber around the crown.
Such a nice watch and they ruined that classy look with the rubber over over the crown. What were they thinking!
WiIh all due respect, I disagree. I think the "rubber" material over the screw in crown, looks very unique and special. Just my opinion.
its not a bad design considering some of their dressier watches turn me off a bit
$1700 😂
Jeez. For that price you might as well just get a Sinn dive watch.
Looks like a hydroconquest
Nir Vayer , only the crown guards. The Hydroconquest is a much better watch.
Would rather have my Seagull Ocean Star
$1700
😂
Ugly lugs
