Fernando Tatis Jr contract is incredible, he has potential to make the San Diego Padres one of the most valuable teams in all of sports. Similar to Steph Curry with the Warriors. He gets a sold out stadium and is a huge part of the Padres success in winning games. Even if you hate Tatis this is essential for MLB

@Pen Island yes it can and yes it will. I’m from the Bay Area, huge Warriors fan but tatis is so much more exciting to watch than curry. I think his impact will be greater than currys. Curry never got out of lebrons shadow as face of nba. Tatis has the potential to make MLB a globally popular league/sport the way Jordan did with the nba. Never seen a baseball player in the social media age bring so much attention and new fans. His swag, his style, and overall his skills are insanely fun to watch. This guy is ELITE in all parts of the game (speed, hitting, throwing, fielding). Curry is just an elite shooter.
Got into baseball this year because of The Show 21 and honestly Ohtani Vlad and Tati's Jr are unreal to watch. They are so damn fun.

I was there too, it was fantastic but the game 3 dodger game was overall by far the most electric crowd I've been apart of.

many fans my age don't go in for what they call "hot-dogging" but I am actually becoming a fan of this kid and this team. they have character and charisma and exuberance which makes being just a baseball fan in general fun again. hope they get to continue to have this fun deep into the playoffs and perhaps bring a title to a city so desperately deserving of one.

Same rule should apply to a pitcher who just struck out the side to strand the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th. No yelling, no fist pumping on the way to the dugout. Once he gets there he can celebrate all he wants.

@@philipwilliams7945 Obviously there are other very solid teams to watch out for (Giants, Red Sox, Tampa Bay, Astros, etc.), but the Padres are just an all-around fun team to watch. The electric energy and atmosphere at Petco Park is unlike any other. They’re the reason I started following baseball again.

Padres had an extremely disappointing end to the 2021 season. But for those of you who didn’t get to experience it, for most of the season, being at a padre game at petco in 2021 was one of the most exciting things you’ve ever seen. It was like seeing the Beatles in 1966 or something.
That’s true. I’m primarily an Angels fan but went to quite a few Padres games last year including this one. They’re definitely exciting to watch.

Fernando Tatis Jr is box office he’s gonna get people that don’t watch baseball to start watching it. MLB actually listened to the critics that said they need to better promote their players, and they’re doing a great job. Only thing MLB needs to do now is have clips of plays be more accessible. Like House of Highlights does for the NBA. If they can do that MLB has the potential to be the number one sport in terms of popularity

Fernando Tatis Jr. is one of the best three or four players in the league, but he is the best leader I've ever seen in this very individual team-sport. Although Mookie Betts deserves credit in this regard also but Tatis gets everyone in that dugout hyped up. He is so great for this game. We are truly lucky to have him and Shohei join the league at the same time.

Being a Padres fan has not been sweet, especially after watching the Chargers just up and leave. I'm glad they built Petco👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾. I'm glad they chose to finally spend some money and get a team that competitive. I feel for the Dbacks organization, but we were them a lot in past years🤷🏾♂️.

Do not try to hit home runs they are happy accidents. Try to hit low line drives/ ground balls to get on top of the ball easier to miss underneath than on top of the ball which is than a homer. Get as strong as you can and increase your exit velo off the tee. Measure yourself. Do not let anyone tell you to swing slower. Hit absolute rockets and moonshots will happen. Don’t worry about swinging at bad pitches, because if you have passive thoughts in your mind you will not hit as well and have less fun playing the game. Hope this helps someone that is not sure exactly what to do at the plate, because coaches say one thing and then another coach may say the exact opposite. Hit with confidence no matter what you feel like be a competitor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a must to compete. I don’t care what your swing looks like be an animal in the box just like how pitchers are thought to be aggressive on the mound and throw gas be you. Get that adrenaline flowing. Lastly breath and don not over complicate it. Worry about your swing externally rather than internal mechanical things.!!!!!!!

I know it sounds silly.. but when I was 12 we were playing in the little league championship game. Had an undefeated season. I played 3rd base and my best buddy on the team was our catcher steve.. And in the first 3 rotations he hit 3 homers in 3 at bats. I know it was just a little league championship.. but I have know doubt he now tells his grandkids that story with the same starry eyes that AL BUNDY has when he recalls his 4 touchdowns lol. what a great memory to always be able to.looknback on.
