    I had a code for a bit, didn't really care for it for PNW big water, felt like it got pushed around and didn't hold a line. Love my Scorch so you know what's comming ... Scorch v Indra v Reactr, add it to the list.

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  Місяць тому +1

      Yeah the code fell short on the bigger push but still a beast on lower volume runs the scorch is still a great option out there as well

    Brother. I know you had a lot of love for the scorch. Is the Indra gonna replace that in your personal fleet? I’m a scorch lover also. But I do plan to demo the Indra in a couple weeks and may well purchase one. Kinda in between sizes unfortunately but we’ll see how they do

    For my paddle style or lack of it, the Code would be a better fit for me, it usually takes me a few runs to get use to a yak, but first run in a Code, it felt like paddling an old friend, 200lbs with all my gear and 6ft. But that new Marble Green is so sweet. I feel the Code is the SUV for Dagger

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  Місяць тому +1

      For sure the code is still a great option

  • @UrsaMusic
    @UrsaMusic Місяць тому +1

    Nice. Excited to try it. Did it feel heavy? I was surprised to see Indra specs say 53.5 lbs for the M/L, Code says 51 lbs for the medium but mine was 54 lbs. 53.5 lbs sounds like the heaviest 9’ boat out, I’d pay for a carbon seat

    Hi Wade from Prague ( Czech Republic :-) somewhere in Europe :D ). I have a question for you on the comparison of these two boats, I currently ride in slalom canals on a Dagger Rewind LG ( hard on the training ground easy on the battlefield ) and for rivers I have a Code LG. No less I am constantly on the water say up to WW class 4 European type. For rivers I prefer a boat that will help me in an occasional emergency, that is twisty but again not poisonous on the edge. And most importantly it roll well. Code fulfils a lot of this, on the other hand in more technical places where there are a lot of rocks and a lot of maneuvering it is a bit clumsy in this Rewind is certainly better. What would you recommend ? Stay with the Code, or try a change for the Indra ( I'm 195cm and weigh 103kg )
    Thanks for your videos and reviews and thanks in advance for your advice.

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  Місяць тому +1

      The Indra doesn’t like rocks but you get water around it seems to come alive if you get a chance to demo definitely should especially since you have that rewind

    @callumella8812 Місяць тому +1

    hi wade, i have a question for you, why don't more boats have a central handle infront and behind the cockpit (a la rewind) it makes it so much easier to carry

    • @WadeHarrison

      Some stay with the 4 handle setup still

    Puffy vs Indra vs Super Skip RR 🙏🏻. The Puffy Steeze develops a “baby bump” after a few months and resulting in the planning hull becoming more hybrid towards a displacement. Local rep won’t explain why or how to correct or avoid that. It does make the boat more forgiving, but willing to try another brand that keeps a planing hull shape longer than a few months.

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  Місяць тому +1

      All the puffy is just a steeze with a larger wall inserts while it’s still hot nothing really over the steeze

    • @derichhofmann4667
      @derichhofmann4667 Місяць тому +1

      @@WadeHarrison , sorry, i wasn’t more clear. The “baby bump” develops under the seat portion of the hull. Reverse oil can, the flat planing hull takes on a more hybrid displacement look.

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  Місяць тому +1

      I have heard this from a few people now

    • @derichhofmann4667
      @derichhofmann4667 Місяць тому

      @@WadeHarrison , is this typical of planing hull creekers? My second steeze is starting to do it now after about 10 trips. I’m just a 3+4- boater. I’m thinking the plastic flexes and elongates from lack of foam under the seat. Perhaps the polymers used aren’t truly elastic and don’t return to shape after the constant flexing thus the hull deforms outward at rest. What are your thoughts?

  • @steezli8993

    I think my biggest question is whether to go M/L or S/M for an Indra. At ~170lbs without gear I worry I'm too close between sizes but I realllllly want one... I do tend to prefer slightly smallerboats but am a bit salty about that love after having had a Waka Billy Goat for a couple months post release. I tend to also paddle a M Rewind and and Hotwhip 72 on far harder stuff than the avg paddler. All that said I am leaning toward the S/M with some hesitation... Thoughts?

    • @MicajahMcCurry
      @MicajahMcCurry Місяць тому +2

      You’ll be fine in a small. I think you’d enjoy the large as a creek boat though, it’s a tank.

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  Місяць тому +2

      Your in the S/M size I feel at 180-190 there’s a weird in between that’s where I’m at I paddled the s/m and feels great but to truly appreciate this design I’m M/L and it’s not a huge boat feel very well sized

      @@WadeHarrison @MicajahMcCurry thanks for the replies dudes. Sounds like S/M is the way to go for me. If I thought I were gonna try to self support in an Indra, I'd go M/L. But I'm pretty happy with my RMX for those long trips. Looking forward to a nice Ferrari for those PNW big boy scary s*** days where a true half slice would be a little sketchy for me

  • @powskier
    @powskier 22 дні тому +1

    Would the Indra be a good downriver boat for someone who doesn't like half slices in Spring western big water? (Too squirrelly and like to stand up unexpectedly)? But I still want to surf, but have zero interest in getting it vertical due to icey runoff. Are they good sufers? Will they spin on a wave?

    • @WadeHarrison

      Indra surf very well and we’ll get stood up in spots but is easy to control while up

    Is the Indra bow more predictable than the Code ? I found the Code bow went all over the place , course I only paddle in section 3 waters. The Indra is definitely not for my type paddling. It’s a way better boat than I will ever need
